Yuvaan's POV

Even after partying all night, the celebration was still on my mind. Mom said that more than my wife, I was excited for her birthday. Fortunately, everything went well, and Reyna was able to enjoy. When she told me that her parents never paid much attention to her, I felt really bad for her — I knew she had a tough childhood.

While I was raised by my mother alone, she had two parents; still she suffered and tolerated the discrimination. I wished she had someone better to look after her. Her parents didn't deserve her.

She accepted my troublesome past and didn't treat me like those people who made fun of me when I was a kid. So, even though I had a grand celebration for Reyna, I also had other surprises in store for her. I planned on taking her to meet Mr. Rickard Charleston as she was very fond of him, and then to her favorite vacation spots.

I also had a few other plans, but I kept my excitement under check and decided to do things one by one. As for my wife, she was back in her work mode. To save myself from getting a scolding, I woke up early and freshened up. When I came downstairs, Reyna was already cooking with Grace Nana; I greeted both of them and helped with the chores.

The breakfast was fun with my family and friends, and it was time to go back to office. Sometimes, I got tired of all the work and stress, but I had to keep moving forward. Reaching the point where I was today wasn't a piece of cake, so lagging off wasn't an option at all. Still, I took lessons from Mr. Rickard and observed how he enjoyed every day of his life; he was old but only in numbers.

The day was hectic with all the board meetings, performance evaluation, and rescheduling of some important meetings, but I made it through the day. I knew Reyna was going to spend her evening with her girl friends, so I used that time to catch up with Mom, who was going to leave next day.

I told her numerous times to retire, but she never listened to me. She had her own business and projects, and she didn't want to give up so soon. I spend the whole night chatting with her and went to sleep on the break of dawn. The girls were still asleep, so I got ready myself and left for office.

As I knew that Heena would be in a hangover the whole day, I gave her a leave, and her junior handled my schedule. The day was boring without Reyna. She called me and said that she would come in the afternoon, but I let her take a day off too.

I also had a session with my psychiatrist, and he was happy with the progress I was making. I didn't have nightmares or panic attacks, and there were no instances in the recent days that triggered me — I didn't even fall back into depression while recounting my past to Reyna.

After a long day, I left office and reached my home. I did overtime, so I was pretty late, but my wife was waiting for me for dinner. After it, I went into the washroom to freshen up. When I was done, I came out and noticed some clothes on the bed; I checked the stuff and the label on them read 'For Yuvaan'.

I chuckled when Reyna came in my view, dressed in an off shoulder top and shorts. She showed me two tickets to the fair she had booked for us. The fair was in the other city, so we had a long drive in the list too. I quickly changed into the clothes my dear wife had bought for me and grinned on seeing that we were matching clothes.

We left the home and reached the huge fair. I clasped my hands with Reyna, whose eyes were sparkling at the scene in front of her. She dragged me along with her and pointed at the various food stalls and the rides. At that moment, she seemed like a kid.

She was jumping around, telling me to buy the stuff for her. I was more than happy and bought everything she wanted. And then it was turn for the rides; I wasn't much fond of them as I had a bad memory of falling off from the merry-go-round.

But I didn't want to spoil Reyna's mood. I accompanied her on all the rides she wanted to play on, and after about an hour, we spotted our friends. Shaurya also noticed us and rushed towards us, while Heena and Advait followed behind.

"Thank god, I found you," Shaurya said.

"Why are you saying that as if you regret coming with us?" Advait complained to him.

"Because I do regret it. You blackmailed me into coming with you."

While Shaurya complained how Advait forced him to come with him, Heena was trying to keep her expressions stoic.

"By the way, you guys look like you are on a date." Heena smiled.

"Yup. That's why they didn't invite us," Advait teased.

"Talk about yourself, bro. You dragged Shaurya along with you because you two," I pointed at Heena and Advait, "still can't accept your feelings."

Heena shot me a murderous glare, while Advait had a huge smirk on his face. He blew the secret that Heena had already broken up with her boyfriend, receiving a punch from Heena. I shook my head as they fought; I told Shaurya to join us. Reyna had no objection, and we left Adi and Heena when they told us that they had other plans.

Shaurya and I exchanged knowing looks but decided to not talk about it. We would be dead before Heena accepted that she also liked Adi. Thanks to Shaurya saying that he didn't get on any rides yet, Reyna had an encore of the whole tour.

I was surprised on seeing her having so much energy; I was already exhausted. Finally after four hours, she decided that she was done. Shaurya called Adi, and the weird couple said that they had already left. My friend rolled his eyes, and we parted ways. Before leaving, Shaurya bought a doll for Reyna, and she was busy playing with her toy throughout the car ride.

I plopped down on my bed face front once I reached home. I didn't even have the strength to move a limb. I closed my eyes and was about to fall asleep when I felt Reyna moving on my back. I acted like I was asleep, and my wife spread herself on top of me. She poked my cheek and checked if I was awake.

"Yuvaan, are you sleeping?" she asked.

I didn't reply, and she didn't say anything for a minute. I thought that she would lay down on her side of the bed, but suddenly she yanked a strand of my hair and laughed when I winced.

"I know you are not asleep. Wake up." She shook me.

"I am tired, Kitten," I groaned. "You must be too, so sleep."

She refused and told me that she wanted to have some fun. I wondered how her batteries were still charged. I half opened my eyes and saw her face inching towards me. She gave me a long kiss and stared at me with expectation. She looked at me with her puppy eyes, and I told her to relax after pecking her nose.

"You are tired, right? You don't have to do anything. I will do it," she said, her cheeks turning pink.

"What you gonna do, huh?" I teased.

Her eyes twinkled, and she instantly hopped out of the bed. In a flash, she was back with a handcuff and a whip with a feather on its tip. I widened my eyes, and she gave me a mischievous smile.

Slowly, she moved her fingers on my jawline, her eyes not leaving mine as she did it. I moved my head forward to kiss her but couldn't because of the handcuffs. It made Reyna laugh out loud, and I told her that next time she was going to be in the bondage.

I called her name, but she didn't respond. I thought she must have already gone downstairs. I wrapped the bedsheet around my waist and got up from the bed. I threw a pillow at Shaurya when he made a kissing face. Adi picked up the handcuff and checked the whip; he shared a look with Shaurya.

"Did you...?" Shaurya asked.

"I didn't. Your bhabhi did," I said.

"You spoiled her."

I rolled my eyes and stood in front of my mirror. I traced the marks my wife left, the memories of last night resurfacing.

"This bastard is blushing," Advait commented.

Both of my friends started teasing me like kids. While they acted like idiots, I got ready for breakfast. All of us walked downstairs, and I glanced at the kitchen, hoping to catch Reyna's glimpse, but she wasn't there too.

I asked Grace Nana about her, and she told me that she hadn't seen Reyna. I felt my heart picking up pace on seeing Nana's confused expression.

"Did you guys see Reyna?" I asked my friends, and they shook their heads.

I called her, but the call didn't connect. Shaurya told me that she must be in the house only, so I moved to check her home office. It was empty. When I came back and was going to check the guest rooms, Advait stopped me and handed me a note he found in the living room.

"What's this?" I asked.

"It is from Reyna," he said.

I unfolded the paper and felt my body going numb as I read what was written.

I wanted to trust him, but I couldn't toss off the bad feeling in my heart. Advait tried to call her but failed. He consoled me that he would find her; Reyna had herself left that note, so the possibility of her kidnapping was low.

"Why did she leave so suddenly?" I asked, my head spinning. "Why didn't she tell me?"

Shaurya made me sit down on the couch and gave me some water. He told me to relax and stop overthinking.

I felt an ache building up in my head and darkness clouding my thoughts — everything seemed jumbled up. Advait asked me if I noticed some odd behaviour from Reyna; I didn't.

I snapped my eyes at Shaurya. He told me to focus on what he was saying and tried to keep me from thinking bad stuff. Advait got in action and called up Reyna's friends and Arman to know her location. None of them gave a positive response.

"Please find her," I said.

Advait hugged me and patted my back. "Don't worry, bro. We will get her back."

I hugged him tightly, and Shaurya assured me the same.
