Someone's Point Of View
I never imagined a coronation in a place like this to be so fancy. From the paint on the wall to the grand furniture, everything looked and felt like something from a museum. I wonder how coming here could be free, one would make crazy business out of this and the fact anyone could just walk in without any invitation was just unbelievable. Well, someone like me actually that in no way belonged here.
The Queen's looks drew a big question mark in my head and so did the prince before her, soon to be king, if that's a way to put it. Her clothes were fancy as well, perfect jewels and ornaments complemented it and the crown on her head was the best I'd ever seen. She also had this sword around her waist that looked like something a million years old, expensive looking but quite old if considering every other thing she had on.
There were two seats before her which I assume is for the two princes but oddly, only one occupied the position and the coronation had already started even with his absence. The one present dressed in clothes that complemented the Queen and he sat looking around the room with a look as cold as steel. His hair perfectly gelled backwards and rings displayed on his fingers like a man from the mafia.
I watched them long enough to forget the crowd around me, how I was pushed around every now and then and how I'd almost forgotten there was a hood over my head. Didn't know why I had it on or why I was even disguised to begin with but something tells me it's because I shared quite the resemblance with the Queen. I'd been told that if I pulled it off or if anyone finds out, I might just lose my life and there's no way I'd die in a place I have no idea about. A dimension I have no idea about even.
My thoughts were cut short when the whole crowd went 'Long live the king' and I guess that was enought to realise the prince was no ordinary prince anymore. Literally everyone around me had wide smiles on their faces and I couldn't tell if it was because of the coronation alone or because it was finally time to eat.
"It's time for us to leave" I felt a nudge at my shoulder and his hand gripped my wrist firmly. He didn't look as playful as usual so it was easy to realise that this was no joke and being the only being I knew here, there was no better option than to listen. I was, however, disappointed that we were just a minute away from the great feast and I would have to miss the satisfaction of tasting such delicacies.
"Can't we just wait a minute? For a glass of wine or something?"
"No, we have to leave now"
"Why? I didn't pull off my disguise well?"
"We're a minute away from someone finding out you're here and if he does, everyone would know who you are. We can't risk that now, can we?"
"But I don't understand, who am I?"
The end?
Course not
