( Evelyn Pov )

I woke up feeling a little bit dizzy. I got up from bed and headed to the washroom to brush my teeth and hair. After brushing my teeth, I decided to change into an oversized brown hoodie and grey sweatpants. I stepped outside the cabin to breathe some fresh air and opened the door to see Thomas.

"Hi, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Oh, I was going to wake you up," he replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"Dylan told me," he said, and Thomas and I started heading to Dylan's cabin.

"Where did you sleep last night?" I asked.

"I slept on the couch," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. He could've slept beside m—whoa, what was I thinking? Thomas and I got inside Dylan and Kaya's cabin to see Will sleeping on the floor while Ki Hong was sleeping on the bed.

"Hey guys," I said.

"Oh hey," Kaya said while making a drink for herself. I decided to make myself an iced coffee too.

"Where's Dylan?" I asked Kaya.

"Washroom," she replied as she sipped her coffee.

"Do you guys want some toasts?" I asked them.

"CAN YOU MAKE ME 3?" Dylan yelled.

"SURE!" I yelled back.

"Yeah, I want some," Will replied as he got up. Thomas said yeah, and Ki Hong just nodded. I made eight toasts since Dylan wanted three.

"Alright, here you go," I said, handing out the toasts. They all said thanks.

"Why did you guys sleep here and not in your cabin?" Thomas asked Will and Ki Hong.

"Me and Ki Hong were too lazy to get up, so we slept on the floor," Will said while taking a bite of his toast.

"Then how did Ki Hong get on the bed?" I asked.

"He was sleepwalking and pushed me and Dylan off the bed so he could sleep there," Kaya laughed.

"Yeah, and my arm hurts now, thanks to you," Dylan said sarcastically.

"So how about you, Evelyn and Thomas?" Ki Hong asked.

"What about us?" I said.

"Did you two sleep to—"

"NO WE DID NOT," Thomas and I said in unison.

"Ki Hong, just shut up," Thomas said.

"Okay, okay, jeez. But seriously, where did you guys sleep?" Ki Hong asked.

"In our cabin," Thomas replied.

"No, but did you sleep in the same be—" I cut Ki Hong.

"No, we didn't. I slept on the bed while Thomas slept on the couch."

"Okay," Ki Hong sighed. As we finished eating, we went outside to do our first activity. We sat on the logs and waited for our teacher to tell us what we were doing.

"Alright, students, your first game activity today is cops and robbers," our teacher announced. Half of the students sighed and said no, while the other half said yes. I didn't really care.

"Okay, I'm going to pick ten people to be the cops, and the rest of you students hide, run, and do whatever you want as long as you don't get tagged," our teacher continued. Thomas, Ki Hong, and James were among the cops. "3... 2... 1... GO!" our teacher yelled, and Kaya, Dylan, and I decided to team up and run. The three of us were hiding behind the cafeteria when Ki Hong saw us, so we split up. Dylan and Kaya ran the other way while I ran inside my cabin. I opened the door and closed it immediately. I turned on the lights and saw....Will oh no.

"You're not going to tag me, are you?" I asked, my hand on the doorknob, ready to run.

Will chuckled. "I knew you would hide here. Besides, you're already out," Will said. I opened the door and bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry," I said and looked up. It was Thomas, and Will laughed at us.

"So you guys planned this?" I asked.

"Yeah, Ki Hong said that you ran the opposite way, and I decided to go inside your cabin. Thomas was going to help me, but he came late," Will said. I sighed, and they took me to the cafeteria where all the other students who got out or 'arrested' were. Eighteen minutes later, the game ended. The cops won, of course, and we decided to take a break. Kaya and Dylan ran all the way to the mountains, but Ki Hong tagged them, so they got back a little late.

"I want to take a shower. I am covered in sweat," Kaya panted.

"I want to swim in a pool full of ice," Dylan said. It was very hot outside.

"Wait, how about we swim in the lake?" Will suggested.

"Yeah, why not?" Ki Hong agreed. Will and Ki Hong went to ask our teacher, and she said yes. Kaya and I went back to our room to change into our swimwear. I wore my black rash guard and swim shorts, and Kaya wore her light pink bikini.

"Why are you not wearing your bikini?" Kaya asked. I remembered the incident that happened to me weeks ago. I sighed and rolled up my sleeve to see a long scar on my arm from when I got stabbed.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Evelyn. I forgot about that," Kaya said, pulling me into a hug. I hugged her back.

"It's fine, really. That was a long time ago," I said.

"That's why you stopped wearing shirts."

"It's okay, I've moved on. Come on, let's go swimming!" I said to lighten up.

"Alright," Kaya said, and we headed outside.

"Hey Kaya, you look amazing. Same as you, Evelyn," Dylan said.

"Gotta keep the tan up!" Kaya said.

"Let's go swimming!" Will shouted.

"Woohoo!" Ki Hong jumped and held Will's hand, and Will grabbed Thomas's hand, and Thomas grabbed Dylan's, and Dylan grabbed Kaya's, and Kaya grabbed mine, causing us to fall into the lake.

"I was about to put on some sunscreen, but Thomas grabbed me," Dylan said.

"Yeah, and you grabbed me," Kaya said, splashing Dylan. I got up and grabbed the watermelon ice cream we brought.

"Who wants ice cream?" I said.

"ME!" Ki Hong said, running towards me.

"No, me!" Will did the same.

"Okay, okay, here," I chuckled and gave them one. I gave Thomas, Kaya, and Dylan one too. Kaya decided to sunbathe, and I decided to join her.

"Where is James?" I asked.

"I don't know, he's acting a bit off since he got a boyfriend," Kaya said.

"Or maybe they just want to spend time together," I said.

"Yeah, maybe," Kaya sighed.

"COME ON GUYS, WE'RE SUPPOSED TO SWIM!" Ki Hong yelled.

"We're sunbathing, Ki," Kaya replied. Then Dylan and Thomas ran towards us.

"Do you need something?" I asked them.

"You guys need to swim," Thomas replied.

"Yeah, no," I said.

"Yeah."

"No."

"Yeah."

"No."

"Evelyn, stop," Dylan said.

"Why?" I asked.

"We're supposed to be swimming."

"Yeah, later," Kaya replied.

"Alright then, if you want to play the hard way," Dylan said, carrying Kaya in a bridal style. I laughed at them, and a hand slid under my legs and back. Thomas did the same as Dylan. I was blushing so hard, like I was turning into a tomato, while Thomas was just laughing. I looked away to see Dylan and Kaya swimming, and Thomas put me down.

"Evelyn, you look like a tomato," Will laughed. I rolled my eyes.

"Are you ma—" I cut Thomas off by splashing water on him.

"Hey!" Thomas chuckled.

"She got you, buddy," Ki Hong laughed.

We changed into our clothes after swimming. It was fun, but James was acting a little weird lately with his boyfriend. Kaya and I thought they just wanted to spend time with each other since they hadn't seen each other in a long time. Kaya and Dylan went to their cabin, and so did Will and Ki Hong. So Thomas and I did the same. We got inside our room to rest.

"I can sleep on the couch tonight since you slept there last night," I offered.

"No, I'm fine. You can sleep on the bed," Thomas declined.

"Thomas, it's okay. We can switch turns, maybe?" I asked.

"No, Evelyn, I'm fine on the couch. You can go sleep on the bed."

"Fine," I sighed. I went inside the room and lay down. I felt bad for him.

I couldn't sleep since it was really cold. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. It was 12:18 a.m., and there was only one blanket. I headed back outside since Thomas didn't have one.

"Uhm, Thomas, you awake?" I asked him.

"Hmm?" he replied.

"Uhm, do you want to sleep in the bed tonight?" I hesitated to ask him. He got up.

"How about you?" he asked.

"Uhm, I can sleep on the couch," I said.

"Do you want to sleep on the bed with me? Well, if you want to. I'm not forcing you to sleep with me," he said.

"Uhh, yeah sure, why not," I said. We went inside the room, and Thomas lay down on the left side of the bed, and I took the other side. He was facing the wall, and I did the same. We shared the blanket since there was only one, and I drifted off to sleep.
