Ryder hugged his pups for a few seconds longer and Chase who was curious said, "Ryder sir what brought your memory back?" "Katie" Ryder said, "Oh what did she do?" Skye asked, "true love's kiss" Marshall said, "aw that is so romantic" Skye said, Marshall laughed he thought it was too. "We are glad you are back bud" Tyler said, "me too but I need to talk to my best friend so if you will excuse me" Ryder said as he followed Carlos and knocked on his door. Anna really hoped Ryder could fix this her son just seemed so lost. "Come in" Carlos said as he knew it was Ryder, "hey" Ryder said as he opened the door and sat down beside him. "Hey" Carlos said, "first you need to know I would never ever betray your trust ever, second I honestly had no idea what was going on and I am sorry she hurt you. Third it was Katie who brought me back and even though I never had my memory it was always her and it always will be her" Ryder said. "Ryder its not really you I am mad at, I know you didn't mean to hurt me and it was all Claire but that is the thing. She used me this whole time and I feel like you are to blame for that, I mean I know you don't like her but its hard to know that I lost her to you twice" Carlos said. "I am so sorry man, I wish I could just make all this go away. I hope you don't hate me forever brother but I will fix this whatever it takes" Ryder said. "There is nothing to fix Ryder and I don't hate you, I just need time I really loved her" Carlos said. "I know man, and I hate her for doing this to you, I will be back with some answers" Ryder said as he left his room. Carlos didn't really know what he meant by that but he didn't care he was hurting.

"Dad I will be back later" Ryder said, "Ryder its almost 9pm where are you going?" Tyler asked, "oh well I didn't realize it was so late, I was going to go see Claire" Ryder said. "From what I understand she went back to Barkingburg and you are definitely not going there this late" Tyler said. "No I get it, I will go in the morning then but I do need to go see Katie for like 2 minutes" Ryder said. He jumped onto his ATV as he looked at his Porsche and he couldn't wait to drive it as he sped down the hill to Katie's. Ryder was glad the lights were still on in the shop and he walked in, "Ryder glad to have you back" Angela said, "thanks, it is good to be back is Katie here?" Ryder asked, "yes just out back" Angela said as she continued her paperwork, Ryder walked into the back and Katie was surprised to see him. "Hey I wasn't expecting you" Katie said, "I know but I just wanted to give you something" Ryder said as he dipped her and gave her a kiss. Katie was swept off her feet as the butterflies invaded her stomach this boy just really did it for her, "well that was something" Katie said finally catching her breath. "I just wanted you to know that I love you, I am going to have to do something tomorrow that you won't like but I assure you that you are my girl forever and always" Ryder said. "You are going to face Claire?" Katie asked already know this was the answer. "Yes I have to, I need to do it for me and for Carlos, she needs to know where I stand" Ryder said. "Okay I get it and Ryder I trust you" Katie said as they kissed one more time and Ryder drove back up to the lookout and cuddled with his pups as he did miss them.

The next morning Ryder was preparing to fly to Barkingburg and Carlos walked up to him, "you don't need to do this" he said, "I am not doing it for you, I am doing it for me and she needs to know how I feel" Ryder said. "What about how I feel about it? I don't want you to do this" Carlos said. "I understand your feelings in the whole thing and I am sorry but I need to go see her, please just trust me and I will be back later" Ryder said as he climbed onto the air patroller. "Ryder sir can I go with you?" Chase asked, "No" Ryder said, "I would feel more comfortable if one of the pups went with you" Tyler said, "I don't need a babysitter dad" Ryder said as he closed the plane door and was off. Chase felt hurt but he understood why Ryder didn't want him to come he knew how Chase felt about Claire. It didn't take long for Ryder to land in Barkingburg and he was always blown away at how much bigger it was then Adventure Bay. Ryder walked up to the castle and he didn't remember there being guards before, "Halt no one enters" the guard said, "Oh um I am here to see the princess" Ryder said, "No one just sees the princess" the guard said. "My name is Ryder and she will want to see me" Ryder said, the guard looked at him as if he was delusional but he called the Earl and he was given permission to enter. "You may go in" the guard saying hating being wrong, Ryder thanked him as he walked up to the castle doors. Claire was so excited to see him and she hugged him. "Ryder what a surprise, I am so glad you are here" Claire said, "I am not here for the reasons you think, Claire we need to talk" Ryder said, "I know what this is about and do we have to?" Claire asked, "Yes" Ryder said, "alright, follow me" Claire said as they walked away from all the adults and sat in the library where Claire felt the most at ease.

"First I want to say I am sorry that I kissed you but I am not sorry for being in love with you. I never meant to hurt Carlos and I feel awful about that but you were the reason I came to Adventure Bay in the first place" Claire said. "I know and I am sorry you did that, Claire I am going to be brutally honest here okay please don't take it the wrong way. I think you are beautiful and that one day you are going to be an amazing Queen, but I don't have the same feelings for you. I hate how you took advantage of Carlos he didn't deserve that and you led him on in hopes that you could have me one day. I thought you were past this and I don't know if this is something I can forgive or forget. The only reason I have my memories back is because of Katie, she is the girl that I love. I can tell you this I thought you and me could be friends but after all of this and seeing how broken Carlos is I don't think we can be" Ryder said. "I understand and I truly am sad by this not only did I lose the most important friendship in my life but I hurt Carlos and I really do feel awful for that" Claire said. "I hope you one day do find your prince but this will be the last time we see each other" Ryder said as he started to walk out of the room. "Ryder, is there really nothing I can do to convince you?" Claire asked. "No there isn't goodbye Claire" Ryder said as he walked out of the castle and out of the princess's life for good at least that is what he thought. 

Ryder walked back to his plane and he received a call from Rocky, "Hey Rocky, I am coming back right now" Ryder said. "No, it would be better if you stayed Ryder, there is a huge storm above you and it looks bad" Rocky said. "I can get through it I honestly don't want to stay, things ended kinda awkwardly" Ryder said. "Ryder you are not flying home in this just stay put please" Tyler said, Ryder pulled up the map on the big screen, "it honestly doesn't look that bad and I can make it home" Ryder said. "Ryder please listen to me" Tyler said, as Ryder hung up on him he really didn't want to stay but he also didn't know if he could make it through the storm either. Ryder waited inside his plane he didn't want to make it awkward for himself and he noticed his dad was calling. "Hello" Ryder answered, "what the hell was that? You better not be flying in this" Tyler said. "I'm not I am still on the ground I looked at the map and I will wait until it passes" Ryder said. "Good" Tyler said as he hung up, Ryder looked at robo dog and said "what do you think?" Ryder asked him, robo dog played him a video of a plane crashing and Ryder said, "okay point taken, when you think it is safe to fly us home then you do that" Ryder said as he grabbed a drink from the fridge and laid down on the floor of the plane. Ryder could hear the rain now coming down as it hit the metal of the plane and robo dog barked indicating to Ryder that someone was approaching the plane. Ryder opened the plane door and Claire climbed on board. "You can come wait in the castle if you like" Claire said, "I am good here" Ryder said, "we have food and I promise not to try hitting on you or anything it doesn't look like the storm will let up for a while" Claire said. "Thanks Claire I am good here" Ryder said, "you are being ridiculous but I understand at least let me bring you some food" Claire said as she left the plane and a few minutes later she came back with a burger and fries. "Thanks" Ryder said, "your welcome and please tell Carlos I really am sorry" Claire said as she left the plane and went back into the castle.

Ryder ate the food Claire brought and he was thankful the only thing he had on the plane was pup treats and he didn't want to eat those. A few hours later the storm stopped and robo dog started the plane, Ryder had fallen asleep and he woke up when they were in the air. "What is going on?" Ryder asked and he remembered he was alone he sat in his chair and watched the sky it looked beautiful after the storm. Ryder was able to make it back to Adventure Bay safely and the pups were so excited to see him. Ryder hugged them but he was on a mission as his best friend still needed him so Ryder went to find Carlos. He was in his room talking to Tracker, "hey" Ryder said as his door was open, "Hi glad you made it back safe" Carlos said, "thanks, I told Claire how I felt and she didn't take it well and I know this won't mean anything to you but she is sorry" Ryder said. "That doesn't help, she took everything from me Ryder, I gave her everything and it hurts, she left without even so much as a goodbye. She knew this whole time she liked you and I was just a pawn in her little game, I feel like you both sort of set me up" Carlos said. "That was not my intention at all, I so badly wish I set you up with Sophie instead and just dealt with the Katie, Claire love triangle. I so wish I never hurt you and I wish I never set you up with her she is evil and I as your friend and brother am so sorry" Ryder said. "Its okay Ryder I forgive you as you really only played a small role in this, it is just going to take some time for me to get over this" Carlos said. "I know but as long as we are good, I am here for you" Ryder said, "thanks and we are good, but as for Sophie like I said its going to take time" Carlos said. "Take all the time you need" Ryder said leaving him with Tracker. "Are you good with him Carlos?" Tracker asked curious if his owner was telling the truth, "I am Tracker he means well and I know if he had his memory the night she kissed him it would have turned out differently. I also know that he wouldn't have allowed her to treat me like that if he knew. So yes Ryder and I will be okay" Carlos said. "That is good to hear" Tracker said giving Carlos a lick, Ryder also heard what he said and he was glad at least he was able to mend their friendship. As for Carlos's broken heart well he needed a little help from his girl Katie for that and that was exactly where he headed next.
