Joy goes to a public school whereas Taehyung goes to a private school but even though they don't go to the same school, they still meet whenever they can though mostly it was just Taehyung who goes where Joy is since she and her mother had gone to a different place to live.

Joy's classmates knew about Taehyung because he takes her to her school sometimes instead of taking a bus.

"You're going to watch, right?" Taehyung once asked when he pick her up from her school.

Joy shrug and looked outside the window. "We'll see." She answered in a bright tone.

"Don't just see, make sure you'll come. I'll ask Wendy to save you a seat." Wendy is the manager of Taehyung's team.

Joy turned to him. "What's with you all of a sudden? Last time you didn't ask me to watch you play but now you're asking me, I really don't get you sometimes Kim Taehyung."

Taehyung didn't turned to her but she saw the change in his eyes. He turned the wheel on the right before he answered.

"Last year was different, now I can play at ease."

Joy frowned. "Huh?"

"Just come and watch, don't ask too many questions."

Joy rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Where are we going anyway?" She realized it's not their usual route.

Taehyung flashed her a grin. "Let's watch a movie."

Joy gaped. "What? In our school uniforms?"

Taehyung arched his eyebrow. "Why not?"

Joy stared ahead. "Well... Nothing."

"It's been awhile since we last saw a movie together."

She turned her gaze back to him. "What's with you all of a sudden?"

Taehyung didn't say anything, just continued driving.

"College... You're going right?" He asked a while later.

Joy turned to him but he's not looking at her way. She turned her gaze away, outside the window.

"Of course."

"What university?"

"I'm still thinking."

"Tell me once you decide where, okay?"

"Why?"

"Don't worry, I just want to know to make sure you're safe."

Joy's eyebrow arched, confused.

"Don't worry, I can handle myself. Just worry about yourself, you're going abroad to study, can you even understand english?"

Taehyung glanced at her. "How did you know?"

Joy shrugged her shoulders smiling, not telling him how she knew.

"Did Namjoon hyung told you?" He asked referring to his mother's secretary.

Joy shake her head. "Your mother did."

"Mom? When? Why?"

"Nothing really, she just told me to keep my eyes on you while you're still here, she wants me to watch your studies."

"Mom did?" He smiled, a silly smile.

"Yeah, so know that I'm going to be strict with you when we do our lessons."

Taehyung just stuck out his tongue at her.

Silence filled the car but it was not awkward or anything. They can be silent and loud but there won't be any awkwardness. Growing up together, Joy came to know him a lot. From his likes to dislikes, his strong points and even flaws. She's greatful, cause if not for him, she won't be who she is now. She learned how to smile despite how hard her life may seem.

Her secret, she's going to keep it for as long as she can. Because it's all she can do for him.

They arrived at the mall and no matter how many times they've been out together, Joy just can't get used to be walking beside him. Mainly because this guy is just oozing with sex appeal, every girl turn their heads at him and drools as if he's some kind of a high class beef. Although she learned to ignore the deadly stares that they emit, she can feel the hairs at the back of her neck standing. It's not eve surprising anymore that he got a fan club.

Is he aware though? He's so oblivious.

"That large popcorn please, and those large drinks as well." Taehyung pointed at the drinks on the counter.

"How many drinks? We have these two straw one cup drinks for couples."

"Two please." Joy answered immediately dismissing the thought of the cashier that she and Tae are a thing. As if she doesn't know there's something like that.

Joy was surprised, as soon as they went inside the cinema, it was filled with couples. She was taken aback.

"Wae? What's wrong?" Taehyung whispered on her ear.

Joy took a step back away from him, covering her ears.

"N-nothing." She looked away, going ahead towards the vacant seat, Taehyung came after her.

Probably because she stayed up an all nighter last night because finals is just around the corner, she felt quite sleepy that Taehyung notice her when she kept on yawning.

He didn't have to ask her but acted on his accord, reaching out his arm, he cupped her cheek and made her lean on his shoulder.

"Sleep."

"But-"

"Just do as I say, will you?"

Feeling tired and sleepy, Joy can't really argue with him at the moment so she closed her eyes and let sleep creep in.

When she woke up, the credits was already rolling.

"Mian."

"It's okay. Did you get enough sleep?"

Joy nodded, now feeling refreshed from the nap.

"Let's go and eat, then I'll take you to your part time." She works as a part timer in a internet cafe.

"Okay."

The two went on a restaurant that serves soup. Nothing unusual, just two friends going on a date comfortably. It's like a page of a book where the writer just skips at the boring daily life of people.

But not to her. Every moment with him is special.

"What time is your off today?" Taehyung asked when he dropped her off.

"until 9 pm. Wae?" she lied, her out is actually mostly 1 or 2 in the morning.

"So late, I'll take you home. I'll wait for you." See? 9 pm is already late to him.

"Don't you have something to do? Study, will you?"

"I know. I know. Please stop acting like mom, will you?"

Joy chuckled. "Alright. Go now."

Taehyung was hesitant but he can't really win against her.

He can only sigh.

"Then I'm going." he started the engine and left.

Joy just waved at him since he can see her from the rearview mirror for sure.

She only went inside when she saw that his car nowhere in sight anymore.
