Holy shit, you guys! It's Grandpa Sakonji Urokodaki! He's standing behind Tanjiro while wearing his signature goblin mask.

"You know we could've used your help." You scolded him. Urokodaki turns to you without saying anything before looking back at Tanjiro. Okay, rude?

"H-How can I finish him off?" Tanjiro asked.

"Don't ask me! Can't you use your head to figure that out?" Urokodaki scoffed.

Tanjiro looked rather scared of him, so you decided to step in. "Well we know stabbing him didn't do much. And beheading him didn't kill him either. I think we need to bash his brains." You suggested. You know bashing the head won't work either, but you can't give yourself away that you already have the knowledge on killing demons.

"I think you're right, (Y/N) chan." Tanjiro nodded. He went over to pick up a large rock and went over to where the demon is pinned. Tanjiro is still shaking like a leaf at the thought of causing too much pain. Isn't there anything I can use to kill him with one blow? Tanjiro wonders.

From behind the trio, Urokodaki smells the kindness of Tanjiro. This kid isn't gonna cut it. He's too kind and can't make decisions. He's facing a demon, yet the scent of kindness remains, Urokodaki thought.

The demon wakes up and realizes he's pinned to a tree. "You bastard! I'll kill you! I swear I'll devour you! Get over here damn it!" He yells.

You realized the sun is coming up and you still have this anger all bottled up. In one movement, you grab the rock from Tanjiro's hands and begin to bashed the demon's head. "DIE! DIE YOU MONSTER! YOU'LL PAY FOR KILLING MY FAMILY AND TAKING MY BROTHER FROM ME!" You raged. His blood now decorates your face, scaring Tanjiro. Of course this head bashing isn't killing him.

Now Urokodaki is focusing on you. I must say this small girl has me fooled. She also radiates kindness, but with a small hint of hatred in her heart. Now she's taking it all out on this lowly demon. This girl shows promises, he thought.

The sun finally came up, claiming the demon's life. His blood on your face also burns away as well. You have a blank look on your face while Tanjiro is horrid at how quickly the sun can kill a demon. Not to mention how inhumane you looked when you were bashing his skull. I knew (Y/N) chan suffered the same tragedy as I did, but to have this amount of hatred, I didn't know she was capable of. This would've been better off if we knew the sun can kill a demon, Tanjro thought. That is when he remembers his sister.

"Nezuko? Nezuko!" Tanjiro calls out.

"She headed back inside the temple." You pointed.

Tanjiro ran inside and smiled in relief to see Nezuko safe and sound. Then he noticed Urokodaki. "Oh, that's right. Where's that man?" He asked.

"I think he's praying for the souls of the people who were killed by the demon after he buried them." You answered. The two of you walked over to see Urokodaki kneeling on the makeshift graves.

"Um," Tanjiro spoke.

"I'm Sakonji Urokodaki." He cuts him off. I'm assuming you're the one Giyu Tomioka sent my way."

"Yes! My name is Tanjiro Kamado!" Tanjiro answers.

Urokodaki then faces you. "And who are you supposed to be? Giyu never mentioned another child in his letter." He asked.

You nervously gulp before straightening yourself. "My name is (Y/N) (L/N), sir! My family has been recently killed by a demon! I wish to become a Demon Slayer to avenge them and to protect others from suffering the same fate! Please accept me as your student!" You answered.

You could feel Urokodaki staring at your soul before facing Tanjiro again.

"Tanjiro...What will you do when your sister devours a human?"

This question stuns Tanjiro into silence.

"Don't you mean 'if she devours a human'?" You corrected him. "Because the way you phrase it-"

You get cut off when Urokodaki slaps Tanjiro across the face. Aw shit! I'm sorry Tanjiro! I completely forgot he slaps you.

"Too slow! You're just too slow at making decisions! You failed to finish off that demon before daybreak! A girl smaller than you had to do that for you! Are you really gonna let a little girl do everything for you?" Urokdaki chastises him.

"Um...I'm 14, so that means I'm a year older than Tanjiro." You piped up.

Urokodaki ignored you and kept his focus on the cinnamon roll. "Do you know why you couldn't answer my question right away? It's because your resolve it's too weak!" He yells. "There are two things to do if your sister devours a human. Kill your sister! And slit your own belly and die! The same thing goes to you, (L/N). Since you're so quick to defend them."

"I wouldn't mind doing it because I know Nezuko will never eat a human!" You stated. Just like I know Leo wouldn't eat one either.

"(Y/N) chan..." Tanjiro gasped. He smells your kindness and determination increasing when you say that. She only knew Nezuko for less than a day and she's already laying down her life. That's when he knew he could trust you wholeheartedly.

"But that must never happen no matter what and you best not forget. Do you understand?" Urokodaki warns them.

"Hai!"

"Alright. I'm gonna test you both to see if you're fit to become members of the Demon Slayer Corps. Carry your sister on your back and follow me!"

After helping Tanjiro put Nezuko inside the basket, the two of you took off running, following Grandpa Urokodaki. And wow, that old geezer is fast! He's about six feet in front of you and you can't even hear his footsteps. The running isn't that much of a problem for you since you've been dancing your whole life. But poor Tanjiro is loudly wheezing behind you.

"N-Now have we...passed the test?" Tanjiro pants.

Oh Tanjiro, if only it was that easy.

"The test starts now. We're gonna climb a mountain." Urokodaki replied. You patted Tanjiro's back as he began to seize up in disbelief. Urokodaki has set up a futon for Nezuko, which you know she'll wake up in two years. Now the three of you are currently climbing up the mountains for the Death Traps Test. God you hope you don't wind up dead before your journey could start. It's now fully dark and the three of you have reached the top. "Now, from here, go back to the house at the foot of the mountain. This time I'm not gonna wait until daybreak. "

A fog comes between the geezer and the kids, making Urokodaki disappear completely.

"That's the test? This doesn't seem hard at all. He must've thought we'll get lost in the fog completely. Don't worry, (Y/N) chan! With my nose, we'll be back before daybreak!" Tanjiro assures you.

You responded by giving him a thumbs up. He can't know this entire mountain is covered with boobey traps just yet. You both ran down the mountain as fast as you could. That is until Tanjiro trips over a rope. That's when rocks come flying in! You pushed Tanjiro to the side to avoid him getting hit by them. Pushing him made you stumble back and you got caught up in a net.

"Eep!" You yelped.

"(Y/N) chan!"

He tried to go after you, only for him to activate another trap.

"Log!"

Tanjiro heard you just in time and threw himself on the ground to avoid getting hit by the swinging log. You pull out Hanabi's wisteria pin from your sleeves and use the end to cut the net open. You once again yelped when you landed roughly on your ass.

"I get it now! This mountain has traps all around and the air is a lot thinner here. It's gonna take more than a day to get out of here!" Tanjiro stated.

You spit out your hair that was in your mouth as you're getting up. "First of all I really need a hair tie for my long hair. And second of all, we need to avoid these death traps as much as we can to avoid getting injured." You said.

"You're right, (Y/N) chan. My scent could probably detect the traps. We can do this!"

"And I know what kind of traps are there. We're talking bamboo sticks, falling boulders, hidden pits, more nets. With the way the trap is laid out, I can probably tell what's coming at us."

"How would you be able to tell?"

Crap! I gave too much away. Not my fault I memorized what kind of traps you get hit by.

"I have what you call...Intuition." You said.

Tanjiro's eyes begin to sparkle in admiration, making you sweat drop. "Sugoi, (Y/N) chan! You must be very special." He beams.

"I guess...Enough chit-chat! Let's get going!"

"Right!"

You both start running again and Tanjiro warns you about the trap you were about to step on. Though Tanjiro missed the one that was in front of him and activated it. You knew it was the bamboo that hit you in criss-cross, so you told Tanjiro to jump in a zigzag to avoid it. The two of you make a great team. Tanjiro warns you of the traps, and you explain to him how to avoid it. Unfortunately, neither of you got completely unscathed by them. There were times neither of you dodged.

The two of you have been at it for hours. How much time did Urokodaki have to place all these traps? No matter. With your knowledge about them, you probably reduce the time Tanjiro had when he did this all by himself.

Urokodaki just places a blanket over Nezuko's body when his door opens to reveal two very bruised up kids. The two of you are panting rather heavily, though Tanjiro more since his body never went through this much pressure. Your entire body shakes in pain, but your (e/c) eyes burn with determination.

"We...have...returned." You panted. Then you both collapsed on your knees, with your head on top of Tanjiro's

"I accept you both as my students, Kamado Tanjiro and (L/N) (Y/N)." Urokodaki replied.

This made you smile and hugged the best boi. Said best boi snuggles onto your warm embrace. Tomorrow I will start my training. Don't worry, baby bro. Your big sis will get stronger to rescue you and turn you back into a human. That's a promise.

You fell asleep on top of Tanjiro with a small smile on your face.

Your (h/c) hair has been cut to a bob. With so much hair and Urokodaki not having a hair tie around, you knew you needed to cut so it wouldn't get in the way of your training. It's a good thing you did cause the training has been brutal. For the past few days, you and Tanjiro have been descending the mountains avoiding the traps. Each day the traps are getting deadlier. You think Grandpa Urokodaki really wants you both dead.

Today's training has been different. Urokodaki wants you to avoid the traps and pick up a sword from it. Remembering where the sword traps are in the anime, you purposely triggered it. About ten swords came flying in your direction. You rolled away in time and they all got pinned to a nearby tree. That's when you pulled one of them out and began to descend from the mountain. As you're running, Tanjiro soon joins you with a sword in hand.

"Good job finding a sword, Tanji!" You praised.

Tanjiro blushed at the cute nickname you gave him the first day of training. "I almost died getting the sword. At least it's another successful training." He smiled. Spoke too soon. You both activated a trap that made a rope wrap around your ankles and brought you both up in the air. This also made you drop your sword in the process. The two of you scream while Urokodaki looks up at you two and shakes his head in disappointment. "Gah! I'm so sorry, (Y/N) chan! I distracted us both!" He apologized.

"No problem! Just use your sword to cut us down." You said.

"Right!"

He did just that and his body cushioned your fall. After leaving the mountain with the swords, Urokodaki made you both swing it a thousand times. By nightfall, your arms became like jelly and you could barely feel them.

The two of you have been swinging your swords for weeks. It was brutal the first five days, but it became easier after day six. It's likely you've been getting stronger. Now he has you both tested on how strong your swing is by making you cut a wall of bamboo. Though not before threatening to break your bones if you break the blade. Luckily that never happened.

After Urokodaki is satisfied that you can properly swing, he has you both attack him. Not at the same time of course. Tanjiro went first and didn't land a single blow on him. You were no better and you always ended up on the ground. But Urokodaki must think you're already strong enough since he's gonna teach you what you've been waiting for months."

"Total Concentration Breathing?" Tanjiro questioned.

"That's right. I'm gonna teach you two all ten of the Water Breathing forms." Urokodaki confirms. "Remember to take a long breath so the oxygen flows into every cell in your body. This will enhance your body's natural healing power, and both stabilize and energize your spirit. Relax your upper body while bracing your lower half. Alright, breath."

You both did exactly as he said and breathed. Your (e/c) orbs shrink down in euphoria as you feel a rush of energy flowing through your veins and lungs. This feels amazing!

Tanjiro on the other hand didn't feel the same. After taking a deep breath, he collapsed on the ground in pain while holding his stomach.

"You did it wrong! How much clearer can I get! (L/N) got it down easily!" Urokodaki yells.

"That's because I did this before. My eldest sister, Hanabi, taught me to meditate using that breathing technique. It's supposed to help me not pant so loudly after every performance." You explained.

"Stop bragging!" Urokodaki yells.

You shrink back in fear and keep your lips sealed. After ridiculing Tanjiro for not getting the technique right, you both ended up falling down a waterfall to "Become with the water". But all it does is make you get wet and catch a cold.

"I have nothing left to teach you." Urokodaki spoke. He said that after a year training under his wing. "The rest is up to you two, whether or not you can improve to the next level. Now come with me." He said.

You both began to follow him into the woods where you know the giant boulder is at. The snow gives off a more intimate aura as you saw not one, but two boulders. The second one is twice as big as the original one.

"Who is the big one for?" You asked.

"That big one is for you, (L/N). You still haven't gotten the grasp of one single water form. Truth be told, you're more likely to die first than Kamado here." Urokodai answered. Ouch. That really hurted your pride, but it's the truth. You may have been able to fight with the sword and can use Total Concentration Breathing, but you haven't mastered a single form. "If you can slice your respective boulders, I will allow you to enter Final Selection."

With that he walked away. You look at your boulder and sighed in defeat. Only Tanjiro successfully cuts his boulder in half because he has mastered all ten forms. I only have a year to cut this big ass rock. What are you going to do?
