Underline is imagination
I woke up in your clothes from the night before, and blanket wrapped around me. I rub my eyes as I adjust to the brightness of the sun filled room. I look on my nightstand and see a note:
"you fell asleep in the wheelchair, hope you had a good sleep!
~James"
I smile and stretch my arms, thinking what to do for today. When I hear Chloe in the room banging two pans together.
"Wake up bitc- oh, you're awake. It's 10! How come you've just woken up?" She said, putting the pans by her side.
"Well, I guess I just felt tired." I said, getting into my wheelchair.
"I'm planing on trying to walk today. What do you think?" I said, slowly pushing myself off of it.
"Sounds good. How was the date?" She said, wiggling her eyebrows. I laughed a bit at it.
"It wasn't a date. We just hung out and talked. I also got you a cookie."
"Yeah, James gave it to me."
"What exactly happened last night?"
"Well...."
James' POV
I look down at the wheelchair, and see that (Y/N) feel asleep, honestly, she looked cute. I can't believed I told her all that crap, but what would she say if I actually liked her?
"(Y/N), I have something to tell you." I said, fiddling my fingers
"What is it, James?" She said in front of me.
"I've been meaning to tell you for a while, but I like you. I've liked you for a while now."
She blushed, and looked back up at me, and smiled. "I-I like you too. And I've decided to stay here, with you."
I know that'd never happen. After all, she probably has someone else, she is beautiful after all, and can get a lot of attention. She also likes to travel around a lot, which we don't have in common.
I brush a piece of hair out of her face, and knock on Chloe's door.
"Yo what's up jackass?" She said, calmly sipping a cup of hot tea.
"(Y/N) fell asleep, can I bring her inside?" I said, trying to help her.
"Go ahead." I picked her up, and Chloe folded up the heavy wheelchair.
I carried her up the stairs, she was surprisingly light, and put her into bed. Chloe set up the wheelchair next to her.
"This is for you, by the way. (Y/N) wanted me to give it to you." I handed her the cookie.
"Thanks," she takes a bite of it. "She's always so selfless and confident, that's going to get her into trouble one day. Night." She closes the door behind me.
I smile at her, and walk out of the room. This might be the last time I'll see her like this, she'll go out on another journey and forget about everyone back at her real home. So,
Goodbye, (Y/N).
"Also," Chloe said. "Can you do something for me?"
"Sure, what's up?" I said, checking my automail.
"Go check on Nicole, she.... well... I know you two haven't been on good terms.. since, you know." She pauses. "But you're sisters, and you should try to connect again. Hell, your the only family she really has left."
I pause and look down. "You know it isn't that easy. She hates me... we both know that." I clench my hands to my pants.
"Just do it tomorrow then, ok?" She said, as I nodded.
The day went by quickly, I was practicing shooting with a gun I was lent from the military. I should go back there sometime, I hope everything's all good there.
I aim at a bottle, it's a good 50 feet away. I've practiced shooting before, and have been since I moved to central. I get ready for the recoil and fire, hitting the wood beneath the bottle, and causing the bottle to fall down and break.
"You need to work on your aim." I heard a voice say from behind me, who was James.
"Ok then smartass, I'd like to see you do better." I say, getting ready to fire at a different bottle.
"Ouch. That's harsh." He said, holding his heart.
I shot, shattering the bottle and turn around. "What do you say? Want to go stand over there with an apple on your head?" I joke.
He chuckles. "Nah, I know you'll aim for me." He smiles, and looks up. "It's getting late, you know. Want help getting up?"
I grab my side, seeing the tower I made in the sand castle destroyed, and looking at my bruised hand. I bite my bottom lip to hold back my tears, as I feel my throat clog.
"Aww, are you going to cry?" One said, as I tried to get back onto my feet. Another kicked me.
"She's to weak, she's just a bookworm! Are you going to read your way out of this, huh!?" He kicked me in the chin, sending me to the ground.
The meanest one of them all, James came over to me. "She's nothing but a teachers pet! What reading are you doing!" He spat on the ground next to me.
"F-Forth..." I stutter, my words almost choking in my neck.
"What a loser!" They all laugh at his joke, as he and his friends walk away. Nicole wasn't there to protect me, so I couldn't do anything.
Weak.
Loser.
Teachers pet.
Bookworm.
The words swarmed around my head, as I felt the words stab me in the chin, side, and chest. I walk home, wipe the tears from my eyes and cover up my bruises and bumps from all of the harassment.
"How was school, (Y/N)?" My mom said, coming over to me as I took my shoes off and smiled at her.
"Great!"
