If you don't want to read beyond this point, I understand. Click off this book and believe that (Y/n) and Alphonse had a happy life on a happy hill in a happy town, with three children and a dog. If you want to believe these characters didn't have terrible visions of this day, haunt their every moment, go ahead. If not, then I suggest you look away. But before reading, go and grab a snack, take a break, I'll wait for you to come back so I can finish this tale.

Ready? Let's go.

I stand next to Ed as he uses his alchemy to rise us up to the surface. Not long after, I see a flash of bodies, but... no, they're not real. They're just skin and bones, with white eyes that are similar to zombies. In an instant, a bright, blinding alchemical light flashes and they're all gone, as I blink away the brightness. I look around quickly, and see a cylinder whole- no a scoop out of the building, as if it was a popsicle and someone took a bite out of it. But, that was the last thing that I saw.

"(Y/n)! (Y/n)!" I felt someone shake me awake, as I opened my eyes and saw Ed, and slowly sat up to get extreme pain. I looked at him, then his arm, then to mine.

"You look pretty messed up. And that arm... it wouldn't last." I said, then, with all my force, pulled out my own. "It might be weird and light, but it's better than that. Winry can't fix that up for you now." I teased, feeling my back slowly give in to the pain. He pulled his own out, and put mine in and I smiled, for the first time in a while at my friend.

"An arm for an arm." I joked, sitting up and supporting myself with one arm. "You'll have more use for it, I'm sure. I'll just use yours." I pushed his in, and cranked it into place, wincing a bit, then doing the same for him.

"Why did you do this?" He asked, getting used to my arm.

"I'm on my last arm, literally. Might as well give it away to someone who'll do good with it. I'm just a ticking time bomb." I looked over at Ed, who now moved onto going to check on Izumi. I have less than an hour, when I'm fighting Father, I'll be done. I can't even stand. I might as well be around people I love.

I jumped a bit to the sound of a slap. I quickly looked over to see Hoenheim on the ground, and Father standing in front of Ed, towering over him. I slowly stand up and try to get to Hoenheim, before falling. What's happening? I feel like I'm getting strangled. I hold my neck, begging for air, trying all I can to not die, not from him. Until it stops. With the fire of a gun.

"Your target is the man with the long blonde hair. Make sure not to shoot Fullmetal instead!"

"Sir!"

Squads of Briggs soldiers come running in, with guns, and weapons as I gasp for air. I start running, before I'm picked up by a Briggs soldier, and helped to the side, I say thank you. I look along the crowd of uniforms and see a familiar pair of green eyes, that run over to me and hug me.

"Pumpkin. I was so worried." He said, hugging me tighter. I wince a bit.

"Where'd you go?" I said, sitting down.

"I was with the Briggs soldiers the whole time. You?"

"I stuck with Ed." I coughed a bit, and saw blood. "Shit." I murmured.

"What happened?" He said going down in front of me.

"My.... I'm going to die." I chuckle, the sounds of guns and rockets feeling like music and the smoke looking like art.

"No you wouldn't. Don't be negative. We'll get out alive." He said, giving me a pinkie promise that reminded me of when I was little. He got up, and slowly brought me up with him, as we both did our part performing alchemy, him with his elaborate attacks and me with my weak ones.

I looked up at Father once more, he's now draining away Greed, his malicious smirk, I hate it. Greed screams in pain before immediately stopping. I close my eyes for a second, and miss everything, my eyes drift off to Ed, with my automail exploded into pieces.

Everyone here, they're all working their hardest, and for what? Why am I here? I'm going to die anyway, what's the point of fighting in a world I wouldn't be living in?

Ed gets a kick onto Father, and I realize he isn't using his stone. He's weaker. Black smoke comes from him, as red sparks flash around him, as he loses it.

An explosion goes off, and I feel myself drift off, then someone grab me, and a thud onto the ground. I look, and see my father behind me, calming my fall from the explosion. Then I look at Ed, who's being corned my father, and feel pain.

Not the pain, the pain I feel in my back, the pain I feel in my arms and legs as they slowly sink to the ground as I collapse, but the pain of knowing my friend might die, and I'm just laying here, dying too, I see Alphonse, on his last leg, and wish things where different. I wish Ed had his arm and leg. I wish Al had his body. I wish my mom was here. I wish Lilly and Nicole where alive. I wish I could live.

But wishes get you no where.

I see Alphonse yell, and Mei reply back, before sparks fly into the air, and Alphonse's armor drops to the ground, and his red eyes fade away.

I feel warm tears run down my face, I look at my father, as he comes and hovers over me.

"Pumpkin, say something." My dad lifted me up, holding me in his arms.

"I love you. I'm sorry for not saying it sooner, but I really love you. So... I'll say hi to mom for you, ok?" I give him a quick hug, before my eyes get heavy.

"NO!" He quickly puts me on the ground, and gets out chalk, drawing circles, and circles until he gets to the side of it. The fight ended and everyone looking at him.

"(L/n), what are you doing?" Riza said, informing Mustang.

"Mustang, can you do something for me?" He said, cracking a smile.

"What is it, (L/n)?"

"Walk my daughter down the isle. Okay?"

When I open my eyes again, I'm awaken by an endless white, as far as the eye can see. When I turn around, I'm greeted by two gates, one my own... and one another.

"What's up?" I walk over, feeling my real legs and waving with my real arm.

"It's been a while." It said, with a smirk, I chuckled a bit and looked around.

"Am I alone?" I said, seeing everything around me.

"Well, no." It pointed behind me, and I saw something I've always wanted to see, a face that is forever engraved into my memory.

"L-Lilly?" I feel myself crushed over the words, she's 11 now, as she turned 11 in April 23.

I run as fast as I can, and hug her, feeling myself sob into her bony shoulder, she wraps her arms around me.

"I'm sorry.." I murmured, between sobs.

"Why?" She said, almost curiously.

"Why? I.... I was the reason for your death... I... I killed you. I killed my own baby sister! You never got to live, love, hell you never rode a god damn bike!" I feel myself breaking, as if I was falling apart again.

"I loved you. I.. I want you to live. I want you to love, if not, then for me." She paused, and put her hand on mine. "For us, (Y/n)."

"I'm dead, Lilly, I died. There's nothing to stop it.... but thank you, I really needed that closure." I wiped my tears.

"You've really grown up!" She said, poking me. "You're so tall, and you look so tough, and pretty! Any guy would be in heaven to have you." She smiled, and I smiled at her. For the first time, I feel so, so happy, the happy that makes me remember Alphonse and Ed.

"I.... I did have someone." I said, smiling a bit more.

"Who?!"

"Alphonse, he's really nice, I was his guard. And I actually kissed him! We loved each other.... I.... I kinda wish I was here with him, or there with him." I chuckled a bit, sadly.

"You have a visitor." Truth said, as I looked and saw my dad.

"Dad... why are you here? You should be celebrating." I said, as he walked over, blood still on him.

"I'm here to sacrifice myself for you. My life, my alchemy, everything. I want it all gone." He said, smiling and raising a fist.

"Dad no! You have so much to li-"

"I'm sorry I left you, I'm sorry I missed Lilly, I'm sorry your arm and legs where gone, but I'm making it up. Think of it as a trade, equivalent exchange, remember what mom and I taught you, pumpkin? Arm for an arm, life for a life."

"I'll miss you." I said, looking down, as he smiled and kissed me right in the forehead.

"And they miss you. Amestris. They're all weeping for you, they all love you, he loves you, I love you. Now go, knock them dead." He said, punching me in the shoulder.

"You'll have to wait." Truth said, "5 months, to be exact." It said.

"Then, I'll wait as long as it takes."
