TW - Violence, gore, strong language

Today is the big day. It's August 3rd. The plan has been going over and over in my head: show up and fight Mikey while Hanma makes sure the others don't interrupt my fight. That way, I can show Mikey he needs me, but I don't understand how that benefits Hanma. I can't help but have this bad feeling in my stomach, and the fact that the last couple of days, Takemichi has been pleading with me not to go make my uneasiness greater.

Flashback a couple of hours before

I was walking outside when in the corner of my eye, I saw a certain blonde running up behind me. Takemichi? Did he come out here to talk! I tried to pretend like I didn't see him.

"Y/N!!!! HEY, STOP!!!"

I kept walking. When is he going to get the hint? He's been calling and texting me non-stop. I had to block him because of the number of messages and calls I was getting from him.

"I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME!"

I finally stopped and waited for Takemichi to catch up to me. When he did, he was holding himself up with his hands on his knees, breathing as if the world was running out of air. I don't know why I stopped. If he had been anyone else, I would have sent him a threat a while ago.

"Takemichi, what do you want" at this point, I'm annoyed. Maybe if I slapped him a few times, it might cause those brain cells of his to actually work, like slamming a remote on the table to get it working.

"I- I need your help," Takemichi said.

"I already told you I have other work I can't help you right now. It's a really important job. I can't just back out of it now!"

I took a step forward, but then I was held back by Takemichi grabbing my arm. "YOU CAN'T!" I can see Takemichi was scared of something, but I didn't know what. I turn to him.

"Unless you have a real reason for me not to go today, I'M GOING! Now, is there something that I should know?"

Takemichi looks up at me, contemplating whether or not he would tell me what's troubling him.

"I! I can't," he says in defeat.

Does he know something I don't about tonight? That's impossible, he isn't officially part of Toman, so there isn't any reason he would be a part of their affairs? Maybe he's scared of someone or something else. Maybe it has nothing to do with tonight. But if it does... Does Toman have a spy! Or maybe a third party that might mess up the plan? No, they don't seem like the type to play dirty, so I doubt that. Infinite possibilities run through my head, and with each one, I get more nervous.

"Takemichi," I grab his shoulders and look him straight in his eyes "is there something I should know," I said sternly but concerned.

Takemichi looked defeated. He looked down at his feet and took a deep breath in; he then looked up at me with a smile. I could tell it was forced from pain, but what made him that way? Just when I think I have him figured out, another thing pops up that I don't understand.

"It's ok, Y/N I can take care of this one my own, and I will change the outcome" as soon he said that, he ran off with a look of determination.

"TAKEMICHI?!" I said, yelling in his direction, but when I did, he was already out of sight.

What was he talking about "change the outcome?" Maybe he figured out how to solve his own problem. Whatever the case may be.

I have a fight to get ready for.

End of Flashback

Takemichi isn't the only person that is making me nervous. Hanma was acting strange, stranger than usual, when I met up with him. I feel like I'm just a pawn in a game I don't know that I'm playing. I HATE THIS. I hate being in the dark, and I'm not someone's pawn, not anymore.

Flashback a few days ago

"So you wanted to meet with me to talk strategy," I said

"No, hello? "No, how are Hanma," Hanma said with a fake hurt face.

As much as I appreciate how much business Hanma gives me. He's a pain in the ass. Why can't I just show up and just do my job and NOT BE ANNOYED BY THIS DAMBASS FOR ONCE? But that is just a wish that will never come true. I sigh internally, mentally preparing myself for the VERY long day I'm about to have.

I threw my shoe at him. I really have no patience.

"HEY! Your no fun. Anyways, I called you to talk about the special day coming up" Hanma is looking more serious now.

"We need to finalize what exactly I need to do in this job, and you need to pay me" I hand him a slip of paper with the amount of money I'm charging him. I do a lot of calculations to calculate an acceptable amount of cash for each job. I take into account how much I take part in the job, how endangered my life is, gas (for my motorcycle), a down payment, and if any of my possessions are damaged, and I didn't break or damage them myself they have to handle the repair/replacement bill (The last one is paid after if there were any damages and most of the time, there isn't).

"Hmmm, this is a little more compared to the other jobs I give you," Hanma said leaning towards me.

"The other jobs aren't as big. If you don't want to pay-" I tried to take back the slip of paper to prove a point, but Hanma quickly moved his hand with the paper behind him so I couldn't reach it. When trying to reach the paper I failed to notice that I got closer to him.

Hanma looks at me with a grin. "It's ok little stray. I'll pay the full price."

I leaned back to create more space between us "little stray?"

"Yeah, that's your nickname."

"I'M NOT A STRAY," I said. he's really getting on my nerves. I might just slap this man.

"Anyways, let's put the flirting aside."

FLIRTING?!?! DOES THIS MAN HAVE BRAIN DAMAGE?!

"The plan is to make you the main attraction, so you need to go after Mikey and only him."

"And what about the other members? Won't they try to stop me?"

"That's where me and Moebius come in. Don't worry; I'll make sure they don't even touch you. But I don't think they'll be a problem."

He doesn't think they'll be a problem? Why wouldn't they be? It's not like they'll just let me fight Mikey.

"What's in it for you?" I said, a little cold.

He holds his hands up defensively. "I just want to help out a friend, and now you owe me a favor. You didn't forget, did you?"

"Of course not" I internally started to regret agreeing to that condition, but I needed this. I need to prove my worth to Toman.

"Good. Anyways try not to bump into any of the Toman members until August 3rd. You know, for your safety and all. Also, don't spread the word we wanted this battle to be lowkey, so best to not even talk about it."

Why would I have to stay away from Toman? He knows that my job revolves around meeting up with gangs, and that includes Toman. They would have no reason to pick a fight with me? The fight has rules and is planed with a time and place. I don't understand the problem? Unless there's something, I'm not seeing?

"Anyways, I think we're done here for now" Hanma starts to walk away.

"Hey, aren't you forgetting something?" I said.

"What? Do you want a kiss or something?" He started to laugh.

"Your payment," I said, rolling my eyes and reaching out my hand.

"Boo! That wasn't the kind of reaction I was expecting." Hanma said, pouting like a little kid that was just told no by their parent to go into a candy shop.

"You won't be getting any kind of reaction out of me, at least not the one you want" This guy likes to play with people for fun, and you can tell.

"I'll just need to try harder next time then," he said with a smile.

"If there is a next time," I replied sharply.

"Of course, there'll be a next time I always have a job you want, and if I don't, I'll just need to find something worthwhile."

This man does not give up. I roll my eyes. "I'll see you on August 3rd, and I'll meet you at the time and place we discussed."

End of Timeskip

I get some simple medical supplies and head to my bike. I have to be prepared for anything; if I get hurt and I can't leave the situation, or I'm badly hurt, I need something to contain my wounds. I don't pack anything significant, just some alcohol to disinfect, some bandages, and gauze.

I ride on my Kawasaki ZX-10R 2005, preparing myself for what's to come. I try to use the cold air hitting my face as a way to relax, but something just isn't right. I have no proof of what's wrong, so I shouldn't be nervous but even so, why do I feel so sick. My thoughts race, but I come to the conclusion that it's all in my head, and I'm not going to let a feeling sike me out of today.

I reached the location me and Hanna decided to meet and where the battle was going to take place. There was a bunch of ex-Moebius members already there; I couldn't even see the other side. Were there even people on the other side? Just as I thought this, I heard Mikey's voice, "I get it, you got me called out for one reason so that you could ambush Kenny."

Ambush? This is a fight between two gangs. What does he mean by ambush? I was in the back, so I still couldn't see the other side where Mikey was.

Mikey continues, "and then you were planing to pin the blame on me in order to try and split Toman in half."

"I'M JUST DOING THIS FOR PAH," Pehyan said.

"YOU KNOW THIS ISN'T HOW WE DO SHIT" Mikey yelled. "Tell me, who tricked you into doing this, Peh."

As soon as those words reached my ears, I understood. I understood why Hanma didn't want me to meet up with Toman and why he didn't want me to say anything. It's because Toman didn't even know this fight was happening. I- I WAS LIED TO. I started to feel angry, but what am I supposed to do, I can't leave now I was paid, and even if I give Hanma his money back, I risk the chance that I won't be able to do business with him. He's one of my biggest clients. If I lose him as a client, I risk losing money, and if I lose money, I can't see Nozomi as much, I won't be able to buy her nice things or take her out to places she likes.

He- He has me right where he wants me.

Hanma grabbed my arm and was making his way towards the front. "Wow, I'm impressed. I guess you're not just brawns after all." He said.

I couldn't even look up, I felt ashamed and betrayed, and now I'm in a bad spot because of Hanma. I hate him.

"Who the hell are you?" Mikey said. Mikey let out a small gasp when he saw who Hanma was pulling, but it was low enough that nobody heard.

"Tired," Hanma let go of my arm and walked towards Mikey, "all that matters is that now I'm in charge of Moebius, I'm Hanma."

"So you're the creep that's been pulling the strings lately," Mikey said.

"Hanma," I said with pure angry in my voice.

"Yes-" as soon as he turned around to say that, I ran towards him with a switchblade in hand. I tackled him to the ground and held the knife to his neck. The ex-Moebius members were shocked, they didn't know what to do in this situation, and the few Toman members that were there were shocked as well.

"You lied to me. You know how much I hate liars, Hanma" as I said this, I noticed that his expression didn't change; he seemed calm and collected, maybe even a little annoyed, which only pissed me off more.

"Feisty, just how I like them." he grinned "you're smart; you have to know by now the tight spot that you are in."

He was right; I am in a tight spot. I lifted the knife off his neck, but I was still on top of him.

"Good girl," Hanma said when I removed the knife. I don't know why but him saying that only angered me more. My hand gripped tighter on the blade I lifted up and stabbed the ground beside him inched from his face.

"Don't do it again, or I won't miss next time," I said. I'm not going to make him believe that he has power over me, even if he does. I grabbed the blade and stuffed it back into my pocket, and joined the other members.

Walking back, I see Draken beat up pretty severely. I stopped. "Takemichi is Draken ok?" I said, hiding my concern with a cold voice. I didn't ask Draken because people that are hurt always tend to downplay their injuries.

"Uhhhh, Yeah, he's fine, just a bit beat up," Takemichi said, shocked at what he had just witnessed but still managed to answer my question.

"That's good to hear," I said with relief in my voice.

"Anyways, sorry for that interruption. Where were we-" Hanma was interrupted by Mikey trying to use his famous kick, but Hanma blocked it.

My eyes went wide. Did- Did he really just block Mikey's kick?

"No one ever stops Mikey's kick," a boy with light lilac hair said.

"No need to be in such a hurry, Mikey," Hanma said, and I could tell from his face he was angry "crushing Toman is our long-term goal, but it's so much work we thought we would get you to fight yourselves. I mean, it works out the same in the end. This way, it has an added benefit." Hanma lifts one hand and covers his right eye, and stares at Mikey with crazy eyes. "I GET TO KILL THE INVINCIBLE MIKEY WITH MY OWN TWO HANDS"

"SHUT UP, HANMA! NOBODY IS DYING, AND YOU'RE NOT GOING TO KILL ANYONE" it was bad enough he lied to me. Now he wants to kill someone!

"Sorry, little stray, but that isn't up to you. MOEBIUS HAS A HUNDRED MEN HERE WHILE PITIFUL TOMAN ONLY HAS A MEASLY FOUR"

"Don't you dare back down now," he said, looking at me "or any of you, or you'll find out I'm not a softy like Osanai," he said, turning to the ex-Moebius members.

"YES, SIR!" the men said.

"And if any of you dare run away, I'll hunt you down and smash your teeth down your throat." Hanma saying that was a reminder to me that even though he might joke around with me, he can be ruthless, and I should never forget that Hanma is a dangerous person.

"Mikey, Draken, and all your little friends are as good as dead," Hanma said.

Is this what Takemichi was worried about. How did he know this might happen if Toman didn't know this fight was happening?

The raining sky starts to rain harder. At this rate, it will be dangerous to fight in this weather. My thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of multiple motorcycle engines. It was Toman. What was once an empty parking lot was filled with Toman and Moebius members. All of Toman was here now, but Moebius still outnumbers them.

"Alright, all you jackasses, the Tokyo Manji gang is here now."

My body freezes. Wait a second, that voice.

"Huh? Y/N"

I turn to face Baji to confirm his suspicion of whether or not I was really there.

"Y/N! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE IT'S DANGEROUS!"

Jeez, why today I don't have time for this. I didn't think this was how he would find out. I can't believe he's actually in Toman. Maybe a part of me didn't want to believe that he was in Toman until I saw it.

"Baji.... It's, it's complicated" I don't know what to tell him. How do you tell your best friend that worked so hard to not get you involved in stuff like this that you are already a part of it. I don't want to disappoint him. Maybe that's why I didn't tell him because I'm scared that maybe he'll leave. WHY TODAY OF ALL DAY.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN COMPLICATED YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE, SO LEAVE Y/N!"

"Ahahhahahaha, don't tell me" Hanma looks at me "he doesn't know does he" He continued to laugh at me.

This is too much for me. Too many things are happening today. He just keeps on laughing and laughing and lying. "SHUT UP!"

"Well, since everyone is here, let's get this party started," Hanma said with a sinister smile on his face.

Draken gets up and stands up next to Mikey. "You ready, Mikey?"

"You know it, Kenny."

With that, the battle of August 3rd began.

Hey, guys, I want to post this as a two-part thing because I started writing, and it got long. I will be posting part one and part two at the same time since they are supposed to go together. I also want to thank you guys for reading my story, and I hope you guys continue to enjoy it.

At the end of Part 2, I will be doing a little explanation thing where I explain why specific outcomes changed in the past compared to the future. I will put space between the story and the synopsis, and maybe a little title showing that I am doing the explanation, that way for the readers that do not want to read it are free to skip it without worrying that they are missing a section of the story. I will be doing these explanations in the near future as well.

Happy Holidays 🎁 ('▽'ʃ♡ƪ)
