The day was like any other typically day for the Ouran host club. There was no theme today so the host and Yuki were all dressed in their normal uniforms. It was the Friday after the Fujioka twins birthday and everything thing was rather normal. Expect for the fact that Yuki could not get the letter out of her head.

The letter had made it's home in her current sketch book and Yuki would look at it ever so often when she drew. She was far to nervous to ask anyone in the host club who it was from. Yuki hadn't even brought up the piece of paper to her own twin. The blue eyed twin didn't see a reason to bring it up until after she had learned who the letter had came from.

"Yuki!" A group of ladies sitting at a table alone waved the commoner over. Yuki snapped out of her day dream and made her way over to them with a soft smile.

"Hello ladies how can I help you?" Yuki gave the group a closed eyed smile. And that was how she spent the rest of the host club. Serving the girls that needed anything. She was thankful that all of the woman who came to the host club liked her. It would make her time at the host club a lot harder if all of the girls hated her or even felt jealous of her.

Once the host club had wrapped up, Yuki started putting her bag together in the back room. For the last half hour she had been working on the clubs next photo book. With how much progress she had made today, it would probably be released by the end of next week. Which she was excited for. Normally she got a lot of compliments about how great the photos were that are featured and she had even had some of the girls tell her that their parents had thought the photos were done professionally. It always boosted her fragile ego.

"Yuki" A male voice drew Yuki's attention away from her items. Kyoya was standing a few feet away from her and pushed up his glasses as he glanced over her. "My father has asked me to request your service."

".." Yuki blinked a few times as she looked at Kyoya in complete shock. She opened her mouth and closed it a few times trying to find the words that seemed completely foreign to her now. "Your...what?"

"My father is having a small get together for one of our hospitals and the professional photographer he had hired for the event cancelled." Kyoya said taking a step closer with slight look of amusement on his face. "Because it's such a short notice he had asked me to ask you. My sister apparently had showed him some of your photos you took for the Hitachiin fashion magazine."

"Is.. is this a test? Am I suppose to say no?" Yuki questioned as she absentmindedly played with a string on her backpack.

"Why would you say that?" The raven haired second year asked looking down at her.

"Because your father doesn't like me?" Yuki spoke slowly with a tone that made it seem like she thought it was obvious.

"My father has his reasons for everything he does." Kyoya said as he understood why she thought that. "I have a feeling that this event is some type of test."

"A test? What kind of test?" Yuki questioned as she looked up at Kyoya.

"I don't know but if you do well then I'm sure in the future my father will request your work again. Having the Ootori family as an employer would be beneficial for you." Kyoya said. "It would open many doors for you in the future."

"Your right but.." Yuki mumbled as she thought about it. Could she really say no to Kyoya's father? Yuki let out a soft sigh as she relaxed her shoulders in defeat. "When is the event?"

"Tomorrow. My sister will come by with a dress for you to wear tomorrow." Kyoya said as he pulled out his phone and started making a phone call.

"Wait tomorrow?!" Yuki's eyes widened. She figured it would be soon but not that soon! "Kyoya wait.. and he's gone." A huff left her lips as she watched Kyoya leave the back room. "What have I gotten myself into?"

The next day came sooner then Yuki would have hoped. Because of how anxious she was feeling about the event, her night terrors were worse and she didn't get a lot of sleep. However at noon there was a knock on her door and a few seconds later, Fuyumi Ootori pushed her way into the Fujioka residents and got to work. Yuki just let Fuyumi do as she pleased as she was to trapped in her own head to actually get ready for the event.

"What do you think?" Fuyumi asked making Yuki look at herself in the full length mirror on the back of her door. The dress Fuyumi had put her in was a very simple but nice black dress. Her mousy brown hair fell over her shoulders in loose curls and the makeup that had been done was minimalistic but it was done to bring out her best features, her eyes and lips. Yuki only ever looked this beautiful when she spent the night at the twins place and their mother wanted to give her a make over. Yuki didn't really know how to do makeup all that well. Sure she could do a simple eyeliner and mascara look but that was about it. After all, her father claimed up and down that Yuki didn't need to wear makeup to be beautiful.

"Wow.." Yuki mumbled as she looked in the mirror and shifted in the pair of black kitten heals she was wearing. "I look amazing. How did you do that?"

"Don't be silly! You always looked beautiful. What I did just highlights that beauty!" Fuyumi said giving her a side hug. "Come on we need to get going."

Yuki nodded before grabbing the leather camera bag. She still couldn't believe she had the new gift and she was actually using it for an event. After saying goodbye to her father and Haruhi, Yuki followed Fuyumi down to the car that had been waiting outside of the apartment building. As always, Yuki thanked the driver who had just happened to be the same one as she had been seeing. The driver smiled brightly, bowing his head a bit at her before closing the door after the two woman.

"Hey Fuyumi?" Yuki spoke up after a few moments of silence.

"Hmm?" The female Ootori hummed as she flipped through a magazine.

"Do you know why your father wants me to do this? Kyoya said you some him some photos but how the dinner went the other night I didn't think he would want me near you guys." Yuki shifted to focus on Fuyumi completely.

"What do you mean? Father has been interested in you since the dinner." Fuyumi said putting the magazine down. Yuki looked visible confused as she blinked at Fuyumi. "He has looked into your progress at school and everything. Kyoya didn't tell you?" She asked tilting her head to the side.

"No.. he didn't.." Yuki frowned as she turned to look out the window for a moment. Why wouldn't Kyoya tell her this? Was this why Kyoya had kind of pulled back from her? She took a deep breath as she pushed that thought in to the back of her mind. The event ahead of her was already causing her enough stress, she didn't need to add her boy troubles on top of it. That would be a conversation for another time.

"Hey look, we're here!" Fuyumi called out a few moments later as the car came to a stop. The driver came around and opened the door for the two of them to step out.

Yuki's eyes traveled the area as she stepped out of the car. Kyoya had said it was a small event for something at one of their hospital's. She didn't expect it to be small despite being told that. However it actually did seem to be less then 100 people. As the two woman walked, Fuyumi was telling her how it was some kind of PR fundraising event that her father was holding. Yuki didn't get much more information then that though seeing as Fuyumi didn't exactly know all that much about it.

"Ah Miss Fujioka." At the sound of her name, Yuki paused in her step and turned towards the voice. Walking towards her was the four men of the Ootori family. The one that had spoken was Yoshio Ootori himself. "I see you have accepted my request." He flashed a smile that seemed almost forced.

"Ah Mr. Ootori." Yuki bowed before smiling at him the best she could. "Thank you for the opportunity to prove myself as a photographer."

"I remembered you saying this was the kind of thing you wanted to do in the future. Seeing as how the professional that I hired cancelled, I thought of you." Yoshio spoke.

"I am grateful sir." Yuki smiled brightly as she stood up straight. Because Yuki had heard so much from Kyoya about his father and because of the fact that Kyoya himself said so yesterday that this must be some sort of test, she wasn't letting her guard down. She was prepared to do her best today and pass the test with flying colors. Whatever that test might be."What exactly do you expect from me today?"

"I want you to take photos of the event and later I will need specific photos taken with certain people. Do your best to capture everything important." Yoshio said as he looked at the short first year girl with slightly narrowed eyes. Despite his look, Yuki still stood straight with a look of determination. Yoshio respected that. He nodded before leaving with the rest of his family following him, even Fuyumi.

"Good luck!" Fuyumi whisper shouted towards Yuki as she walked away.

A sheepish grin came to Yuki's lips as she watched the family leave. Taking a deep breath, Yuki made her way to a table near the back that was empty. She set her leather bag on it and started pulling out her camera. Despite the anxiety she felt, Yuki was excited to complete this event. Sure she wanted to know what kind of test this was but like her boy troubles, she pushed that thought to the back of her mind. Right now all that mattered was her camera and the job that was laid out for her.

~~~
The event went on for a few more hours and by the end of it, Yuki wanted to crash. If she had gotten enough sleep she probably wouldn't be struggling this hard to keep her eyes open. Thankfully the guest for the event had left about an hour ago. Currently Yuki was standing off to the side as the Ootori family sat around a computer looking at the photos of the event. Yoshio was sitting in front of it and the two oldest boys were standing behind him. Kyoya and Fuyumi were sitting on either side of their father. If Yuki looked closely enough she could see which photo they were looking at by the reflection on Yoshio's glasses.
"What do you think father?" Fuyumi asked after getting tired of the complete silence between the group.
"They are useable." Yoshio finally said as he clicked through the photos. It was hard to deny the talent that the first year had displayed. He lifted his head and locked eyes with Yuki who froze in place. "You have much to learn but they are better then I expected."
"Thank you sir." Yuki bowed her head towards him. A wide smile grew on her lips. She probably should have been at least a little bit offended but all she could think about was the fact that he thought they were useable. Yuki knew that she had a lot of work to do and a lot to learn. However having this event on her resume would bring her so far.
"This is for you." Yoshio handed her an envelope. "It is a letter to put with your portfolio and a small payment for the evening." He said as he stood up, taking the memory card from the computer and pocketing it. "You have caught my attention Miss Fujioka. I hope you don't prove that to be a mistake." And with that he left the room.
"A driver will take you home Yuki." Fuyumi smiled brightly and gave Yuki a hug. "Also keep the dress. It looks perfect on you!" She winked before following her brothers.
Yuki let out a sigh of relief as the night had finally ended. No more rich people to please. Unlike the fashion photo shoot that was light hearted and fun, this one had put such a weight on her shoulders. The fear of failure was high during this whole event and Yuki was just glad it was over. If she ever worked for Yoshio Ootori again it would be to soon.
After getting her camera put back into it's bag, Yuki left the venue. Her eyes traveled the area for the car that Fuyumi had mentioned and her eyes landed on the same car and driver that had drove them there. With a warm smile and a thank you Yuki got into the back of the car. A soft yawn left her lips as she settled back into the leather seats. Glancing down at her camera bag, a white envelope caught her attention. Shrugging her shoulders, Yuki grabbed it and opened it carefully. She pulled out the folded paper and unfolded it only for a check to fall out. When Yoshio said payment, she thought he was talking about the letter. Yuki reached down and grabbed the check off the floor of the car and read the amount.
"ONE MILLION YEN?!"
