Laila POV

Me,My mom and dad had finally arrived

My mother had told me it was a place called New Jersey

I hoped that maybe Zeus would come to his senses and order back

But for now I was here

My mother and father walked me into a place that said Camp half blood

I squeezed my fathers hand and he squeezed it back

A centaur trotted over to us

"Hello , you most be Laila "he said " I'm Chiron"

I nodded my head and turned to my parents

I hugged them both tight before turning back to Chiron

"Um your a centaur right " I say my voice cracking

"Oh yes" Chiron laughs

I turn to my dad and he whispers in my ear
"I'll work something out with Zeus so you can come back, ok my princess " he saids

I nod my head and he hugs me

I hugg my mom one more time before walking off with Chiron and then I see someone familiar

AnnaBeth!

Percy POV

AnnaBeth was showing me around camp

When I saw something

There was a lady and man and girl probably my age she was hugging them tight

"Who's are those people " I asked AnnaBeth and Grover

AnnaBeth turned around to see what I was looking at

When she did a big smile spread across her face

"Well who is it" I asked again getting impatient

"That's Laila " AnnaBeth saids

" who are the people next to her" I asked still confused

"Those are her parents Persephone and Hades" AnnaBeth said

"Wait what" I said " so she's like a full on goddess "

"Well not quite " Said AnnaBeth

The girl hugged Persephone

She looked like she was about to cry

"Well why is she here" I asked

"I don't know but probably not for a good reason " said AnnaBeth

" wait so did she grow up in the underworld " I say to AnnaBeth

"Why don't you ask her" AnnaBeth saids

I look back at the girl

Her parents are gone and she is walking towards us with Chiron

"AnnaBeth" the girl saids

The two hug

"What are you doing here" AnnaBeth saids

"Long story " the girl saids " but I get to go to camp here now"

The two girls hug again

"AnnaBeth I want you to show Laila around to while your showing Percy" saids chiron

AnnaBeth nods her head in reply

I look at the girl her smile has faded and she looks sad again

Chiron walks away

Leaving the three of us

"I'm Percy Jackson " I say holding out my hand

She looks hesitant to take it but she does

"Laila Umbra " she saids with a smile

"Did you really grow up in the underworld " I ask

AnnaBeth rolls her eyes like she knew this would happen

Laila nods her head

"Come on let's go guys " said AnnaBeth

We start walking

And I notice she's starring at me kind of funny like she knows me and knows something I don't
