V i n n i e
Not much had happened. Other than me having no progress on finding out who the brunette haired girl was, where nova is, and what happened to my real parents the day they teleported me at the burrows.
Rumor has it, Draco and Astoria are dating.
Not that I should care. We're through. I was the one to break up with him.
But I couldn't get the thought out my head of how quick things happened. I didn't gave him a chance to explain what had really happened back at the burrows but him looking seemingly unaffected by stuff that passed confirmed to me that perhaps he did just used me to get the best of me. I was the chosen one's friend anyway.
It's almost the end of the school year. Frustration took over me over the thought that I've not little to no progress of finding out about everything I need to find out. Draco was off my mind, I wanted to find Nova, I wanted to ensure her safety, I want to know about the brunette-haired-girl and what her relevance is on my life that she could control my dreams.
I had read about something one day when I was browsing on the restricted part of the library. Book of seers. The title says.
A seer is witch with gift beyond
The first page of the book is handwritten with cursive. On the side of it says the author's name. Cassandra Trelawney.
I head to Professor Trelawney the same day I had read that. It bothers me, that poem. I couldn't sleep without hearing a voice reciting it. But it was not my voice I was hearing, it was someone else's. A woman's, her voice is as wavy and elegant as how the penmanship of the person who wrote that poem.
Running for Professor Trelawney wasn't much help as I wanted it to be. She just stared at me for long uncomfortable minutes and when she went back to her wits, she answered casually that it was her grandmother. Then ask me if I could leave the classroom since she had far more important stuff to do and bid me goodbyes in goodluck of my endeavors.
Before I left, she also mentioned that seer's prediction were stored in the ministry of magic's department of mysteries. And for what I had remembered, was broken down when Harry, Ginny and the others fought death eaters. They didn't know who the others are but names carved into my mind like stone: Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange, and Nova Black.
Nova, right. Focus.
I need to find nova before anything else.
I placed the brunette-haired-girl on the side of my mind for a bit and started crossing out suspicions on who might have Nova. My notebook was on shambles, I wanted to make a proper set up but the least I wanted to was for Luna and Cho to find out about my investigation.
I felt like Sherlock Holmes. Just a less smart one.
It was the last week of June.
For some reason that even I could not explain, I suddenly had the urge to go to the room of requirement. Maybe the book harry disposed of there had something I could use. The thought was mental, a mere potions book could not possibly help me move on forward with the investigation I was doing. I went there, nevertheless.
I opened my eyes and found myself wandering about a room full of unorganized artefacts. Some familiar because of the books I ventured through.
I saw him-Draco- on my peripheral view, he was gliding his hands through a familiar looking cabinet. The pulled a dusty piece of tapestry covering it.
Perhaps the vanishing cabinet - I thought.
With a split second, the door opened, the door of the vanishing cabinet opened, wind peculiarly rushing out of the cabinet along with an obscure smoke.
Then, figures extricated from the cabinet.
Some familiar, some aren't. Two of which was in the burrows that night. Bellatrix Lestrange and Fenrir Greyback.
I took a step back from where I was hiding from when I saw another familiar face. I clapped my hand on my mouth tightly, not wanting to gather attention.
Corban Yaxley.
He was the one who had almost killed me back at the burrows at 1991, before Professor Remus Lupin had saved me.
Bellatrix ran to catch up on Draco and ran the tip of her crooked wand inside Draco's left forearm.
A death mark?
It true: the rumors, what Ron had said, Harry's delusions, Ginny's suspicion.
It's true, it's all true. He's one of them. Maybe that day at the burrows isn't really a coincidence.
What everyone believed was not nothing but a mere rumor. It's all true and I was blinded by my love for him to even consider the possibility.
I felt several dozes of panic rushing through my veins. Several figures stood in front of me, three of which who had almost killed me; Corban Yaxley, Bellatrix Lestrange, And him, Draco Malfoy.
I closed my eyes and begged the castle to get me out of the room of requirements, when I found myself standing at the familiar halls of the castle, I went running, desperate to have my sight place on any professor I could have help on.
A loud sound of shattering glasses caught my attention, it was from the Dining room. I sneaked a peak and saw Draco standing by the entrance, Bellatrix Lestrange dancing on top of the tables like the lunatic she was, breaking every single piece of dinnerware set on the table.
I started running, before any could notice me, but my glasses fell on the process and I couldn't waste a minute to head back and pick it up. So, I continued running with a blurry vision and my tears making it worse.
I was wiping my eyes with the back of my hand before bumping into someone. The someone grasp either of my shoulder and slammed me on the wall, I winced from the sudden pain and looked up to see who it was.
"You're not supposed to be here" the voice said, it was a man's "accio" he waved his wand and in a matter of moments, I was wearing my glasses again. He flicked his wand again, using a repair charm I had first heard from Hermione to fix my broken glasses.
My vision started getting better, I look at who it was, he wasn't looking at me, one of his hands clasp my mouth, shushing me from making further noises.
It was Lorenzo.
"I'm sorry, have I hurt you?" He ask, his voice in a panic.
"Enzo-"
"Keep your voice down" he said before removing his hands from my mouth "listen, you are not supposed to see what you had seen" I haven't heard Lorenzo in panic with a tone of seriousness that almost intimidated me.
"What do you mean?" I ask, perplexed in all level plausible.
He ran his hands through his hair and sighed deeply "listen, and only listen. I do not need any back up opinion on what I'll be saying"
I nod.
"Remember when I told you I'm Draco's cousin." I nodded when he ask "my mother is Bellatrix Lestrange. We're not in good terms and I assume you are in far worse terms than we are."
"What-"
"Listen, Vinnie. Your life is in danger, I hope you know of that. Even since you got involved with Draco, your life had been constantly threatened up until now-"
He couldn't finish what he was saying when another loud sound formed on the room beside us.
"Hide" he demanded.
"Wait, lorenzo-"
"Do not make a sound" he demanded before locking me in the room.
"Who are you talking to?" A voice ask, I peeking through the keyhole and as I was suspecting, the voice was no others than Bellatrix Lestrange.
"No one," Lorenzo replied "mother,"
A piece of parchment fell from above, metaphorically, and literally.
It was the Marauder's map.
I took it and tried to spot one of any secrets passageway I could go through to escape. When I found one, I went through it. Later, I found myself near the Viaduct Courtyard.
People gathered. Professors, Students, Staffs. They were all looking at something on the floor, I made my way to have a peek, it wasn't something, it was someone. Albus Dumbledore. I gasp quietly, I saw Luna and went beside her.
Professor McGonagall raised her wand up, a glow formed on its tip. Later, Luna followed, then Neville, Dean, Hagrid, until everyone's had their wands up. I lift mine as well.
Dark clouds formed above the sky.
I thought-is this the start of the war harry spoke of. The end of people at Hogwarts safety ended as soon as the life of the one making it safe brink into extinction.
