A/N: Hey ya'll there is like six more chapters left so I am going to be doing some skipping. We are moving along to the Fourth of July. The group is having a small party to celebrate the finishing of the clearing plus this is a test to see how well Luc is going to do with a crowed of people around him. Chapter 29 is the big party so everything after this will be the build up to that. Hope you guys have enjoyed it this far. I don't care about votes or comments leave one if you like or vote if you want. (Luc's POV)

I helped with the decorations, I helped make some food and now I am helping set up the bon-fire area. I really didn't want to go to this party but Holden thinks I should because everyone that is going to be here helped with the whole clearing thing. I didn't so why am I going?

"Babe, stop thinking about it." Holden said adding more wood to the pit.

"Sorry, I can't help it. I mean I have gotten to know some of the guys but what if that was just an act or them being nice because of you and Landon." i said.

"No they like you, who wouldn't?" He asked.

"A lot of people." I mumbled under my breath.

"Hush, silly. You know that your a magnet for people. They just seem to be drawn in by you and none of them have said or done anything to make you think they don't like you. So stop worring about it." He said coming over to me.

"If you say so. Just don't leave me. If you have to make sure I am with Lacey or Landon, please." I said almost begging.

"I promise, what about Brandon? You and Brandon seem to have become really good friends." He said. He was right I really like Brandon he reminded me of a over stuffed teddy bear. He has the hots for Lacey and I think she likes him too but they are both helpless when it comes to getting together. Maybe I could work on that tonight.

"Okay, you can leave me with Brandon as long as him and Lacey are not alone together." I said smiling at him.

"You planning something?" He asked.

"Maybe" I said chuckling.

"Just as long as you don't get hurt I don't mind." He said laughing.

We went back to working. Landon and Mason were hanging light in the tree with the help of dad and one of his many machines. Lacey and Kara one of her friends were hauling food down by the wagon fulls. And the others were making sure that we had enough places to sit or whatever.

The party wasn't for a couple hours and once it was all set up we all went our separate ways so we could get ready. After a very long and very hot shower Holden and I were getting dressed. He was wearing a pair of black board shorts and a white tank top. He looked so hot. I found some blue board shorts that I hoped fit. I think I might have had a growth spurt of something because my close are fitting me. I buy them a size or two bigger most of the time but now they all fit. Holden threw a white tank top at me and I put it on. Thankfully it was a little big since it was his. 

"Sandles or tennis shoes?" He asked.

"I don't have sandals." I said.

"Yeah you do I bought you a pair." He said holding up a pair that looked just like his.

"Sandals I guess." I said laughing.

"Good choice. Don't forget some towels in case we decided to go for a swim." He said. I really didn't want to go swimming in that pond. I will in the pool but I don't really like swimming in lakes and stuff. My dad said the water is really clean so maybe.

"Ready." I said coming back out of the bathroom with two beach towels.

"You want me to carry anything?" He asked looking at my hands. I had our towels, my phone and a book.

"Nope I have everything." I said smiling at him.

We walked down to the clearing hand in hand. I like that we didn't have to hide here. This was my home and if someone didn't like it then they could leave. There was at least twenty people already down at the pond swimming. I saw everybody that helped standing back watching the others have fun. We joined in their little group.

"My dad is bring down all the hot food and once he does that he is going back to the main house but will be checking on us." Landon said.

"So no boo?" Carter said.

"No I promised that all the parties will stay boo free." Landon said laughing.

"You mean to tell us that average American teenagers have to party without liquid courage?" Mason said laughing.

"Yes, and if we do this the right way this time the back to school party can be a little bigger." Lacey said giving everyone a knowing look. 

"So what your saying is be good or no back to school party." Ethan said.

"That is exactly what i am saying." Lacey said.

"Cool, I want the back to school party to happen so we will make sure it stays clean and if trouble starts that person can leave and not be invited back." Brandon said smiling at Lacey.

"Thanks, guys. I don't want trouble. And if anyone is caught drinking or doing drugs they are to leave. But someone will have to take them because we cannot let them drive away impaired or we could be in some deep shit if they get hurt. Plus we don't want anything to happen to them." My dad said coming up to us.

"Anything you want Mr. Lakes." Holden said.

"The name is Jim, people please uses it. And Holden you are like a son to me so stop with all the Mister shit." Dad said laughing.

"Okay, dad." Holden said laughing.

After that we all broke up and went about enjoying the party. Holden would only leave me long enough to talk to someone or to take a quick dip in the pond. Brandon came over and sat with me while he was off swimming or talking to people.

"Hey why don't you ask Lacey to dance later?" I said to Brandon while Holden was off playing volleyball. 

"Maybe, I think she might have a full dance card already." He said watching her as she talked with some of her friends.

"I bet she will dance with you and what you do is you don't let anyone cut in or get to her so they can dance with her." I said not looking at him.

"She can dance with who ever she wants I can't make her just dance with me." He said chuckling.

"I bet you could. I bet Lacey would love it that your the only one dancing with her." I said trying not to smile.

"You really think that?" He asked.

"Yeah, when the music starts go ask her to dance." I said looking at him. He was cute in a big ass teddy bear kind of way. 

"Okay I will but if she says no then I am dunking you in the pond." He said laughing.

"I will let you if she says no." I said looking at him trying not to smile. I lost and started laughing too. I like Brandon he could make me laugh and I trusted him I just hope I am right so i don't have to go in the pond.

"I am going to go get something to drink are you going to be okay here?" He asked.

"Yeah, I don't think to many people like my rock under the tree. I think they like the sun and water more." I said laughing.

"Okay well if you need anything let me know." Brandon said.

"I will have fun and remember as soon as the music starts go ask her." I said. 

"I promise." He said winking at me.

I watched him walk off towards the group of guys throwing the football around before turning back to the game of volleyball in front of me. Holden wasn't that far away so I didn't feel like I was all a lone. Anyone who did stop by were nice and friendly and I tried to make sure I held my head up and looked at them when they talked to me.

"Hey, you must me Holden's new boyfriend. I'm Cal a friend from his old school. I just moved in down the street." This guy said sitting next to me. I didn't like him and I didn't trust him.

"Who invited you?" I asked.

"Oh you had to be invited? I just saw the signs and though anyone could come." He said sounding a little sad.

"No it was an invitation only party. The signs are so people know where we moved too." I said.

"Why are you here?" Holden asked in his pissed off voice.

"I saw the party signs and wanted to come. I didn't know you had to be invited. I'll leave." Cal said.

"That would be a good idea. You've been drinking and that's not allowed here." Holden said I hadn't noticed the smell until he said something.

"I said I would leave." He said standing up but stumbling as he did so.

"Someone needs to walk him home or drive him home." I said.

"I find someone to take him home I refuse to do it. Don't you fucking move." Holden said sitting the guy down on the ground.

"I think he is still made at me." The Cal guy said.

"You think?" I asked trying not to laugh.

"It's all Jefferson's fault. I'm not even gay." He said shaking his head.

"Well if you say so." I said biting my lip.

"He drugged me the first couple times we did it so it's all his fault." He said looking at me.

"So you were drug every time?" I asked not sure why.

"No but the first could." He said nodding his head.

"Come on, Carter is going to take you home. Don't come back here." Holden said helping Cal up and together Carter and him got him out of the clearing.

"Some party, hot stuff. I see your lover is still hanging around. Not putting out yet, huh." Harvey said sitting next to me.

"What the hell are you doing here? I know for a fact that you were not invited and I also know that if some of my new friends see you, you are not going to like it." I said.

"I was just stopping by so I could say good-bye. I am leaving for Florida tomorrow and was kind of hoping that either I could hook up with you or Holden tonight. Hell both of you would be a nice going away present to me." He said looking smug.

"Harvey, I wouldn't touch you if my life depended on it. You know how many STD test I have taken since we broke up? I as still afraid I might have caught something from you." I said shaking my head.

"Lucas you know that one you finally put out to Holden he is going to leave your lame ass for someone who is ten times better then you." He said.

"What the hell is this? Harvey what the hell are you doing here and why in the hell are you talking to my boyfriend?" Holden asked looking even more pissed.

"I was just telling him that he better not put out to you because you'll leave his lame ass. I mean that literly." Harvey said laughing.

"Well I happen to think that he rocks my fucking world in bed, in the shower out on the patio in the pool and on the beach." Holden said making me blush.

"You fucking slut. How dare you sleep with him? Your fucking mine." Harvey said jumping up and on me with in a blink of an eye. I closed my eyes and waited for the pain but it never happened. Brandon was holding on to a squirming Harvey.

"If you ever so much as look at Luc again, I will hurt you so bad you'll wish death would come and take you." Brandon said making Harvey freeze.

"And if you come anywhere near MY boyfriend and what is MINE." I will be death coming for you." Holden said between gritted teeth.

"Harvey, good luck with school and life. I hope that someday you grow the fuck up." I said smiling at him. He was shocked at my new back bone.

I watched as Brandon walked/carried him out of the clearing.

"One more weirdo starts talking to you and I am going to appoint guards." Holden said hugging me close to him.

"I was only scared for a second." I admitted.

:"I wouldn't have let him hurt you. Brandon just got to him before I could." He said before kissing me.

"I know." I said breathless.

"It's starting to get dark out should I start up the music so I can dance with my baby?" He asked wiggling his eyes brows.

"Dance? Me? I don't think so." I said laughing at him.

"Slow dance, promise." He said kissing me again.

"Okay" I said biting my lip.

"Alright frist song will be a slow one. Let me go get it started." He said.

"Wait, you have to wait for Brandon to be here and Lacey." I said looking around. I spotted Lacey talking with Landon and Mason and i could see Brandon walking back down the path.

"Is this part of your plan?" He asked.

"Yeah, once you get the music started make sure nobody gets to Lacey unless it's Brandon." I said almost jumping up and down.

"You got it , Cupid." He said with a wink before he headed off to where the stereo was set up. 

It took about five minutes before I heard A-Team by Ed Sheeran start to play. I really love this song but was surprised to learn it was about a drug addict.  I watched as a couple of guys headed for Lacey but Holden headed them in another direction leaving her wide open for Brandon. As soon as Brandon was talking to Lacey I was being pulled out onto the dance area.

"Well, I think it worked." Holden said wrapping his arms around my waist. I clamped my hand behind his neck and swayed to the music.

"What worked?" I asked lost in his eyes.

"Brandon and Lacey, their dancing." He said chuckling.

"Really? Where?" I asked stopping and looking around. Sure enough they were dancing right behind us. Brandon winked at me and I smiled at him.

"Good job, Cupid now take a break and dance with me." Holden said chuckling.

We danced to every slow song that played as did Lacey and Brandon. They made such a cute couple. We all gathered around the pond and watched the fireworks that my dad had bought. It was the best Fourth of July I had ever had. I loved kissing Holden while the fireworks lite the sky. I loved dancing in the mood light and hanging with my new friends. Best day of my life so far. We stayed out at the party until two when dad closed it down. Even though most of the people left around one. We all went back to the apartment and crashed. I really enjoyed myself and I was so glad I had went. I think I not only surprised myself tonight but everyone else for not sneaking back home and being a party pooper.
