We get to my car and still haven't decided where we are going or how we're going to get there. Then, I get a text from my mum.

Mum : hi! we are going out with your grandparents, will be back later tonight xx

"We could go to my house, my parents won't be home" I say. Everyone agrees and we reach my car.

"Okay, so maybe I should drive, Victoria in front so our seats can go all the way to the front and you guys have leg space in the back" I say. Max groans but he knows I'm right. Daniel just agrees with it, seeing he doesn't really care.

Half an hour later, we arrive at my house. Both Victoria and Daniel have been looking out the window the entire drive here. Max and I just started talking to each other as they were both distracted.

I park my car and everyone gets out. I lock the car and we walk up to the front door. I let everyone in and we take of our shoes. I show Daniel and Victoria around. After that, we just sit on the couch.

"What do you guys want to drink?" I ask them.

"Do you have coke?" Victoria asks. I nod and look at Daniel for an answer.

"For me as well, please" he says. I don't even ask Max, as I know what he wants. I grab three glasses of coke and one of fanta. I also grab some cookies. Just when I sit down, Max's phone rings. I frown when he looks at the caller ID. But he answers.

"Hello Christian" he says. I look at Daniel, who now frowns as well. My eyes drift back to Max's face. His eyes widen.

"He what?!" Daniel looks very confused.

"No no, I understand"

"No that's okay"

"But that's in a few days. How am I supposed to do that?" I am very confused now as well. A few days. He is leaving for Austria in a few days.

"Okay, I'll figure something out"

"Yeah, thanks Christian, bye" Max hangs up and groans.

"What happened?" Daniel and I both ask at the same time.

"So, Jackson was just fired" Max says. I have no clue on who Jackson is, but Daniel does.

"No way, why?" Daniel asks.

"He gave me weird times right and said you were closer than you were and stuff. Well, turns out he has been coming to work drunk" Max says. My eyes widen. Daniel just looks pissed.

"Why the hell would he do that?"

"Christian said that Jackson said that his wife left him and he has a hard time dealing. But Christian didn't think it'd be a good idea if he came to Austria as he's been ruining practice for me" Max explains. I look down at my lap.

"Christian wants me to find someone who can take his position in Austria and if he or she is good, he or she gets the job" Max says. I look up at Max.

"How are you going to do that?" I ask him. He just looks at me with a look that I know. He knows exactly who he is going to choose and that makes me confused. Daniel seems to catch on as well.

"I like your idea Max" he says. I frown at him.

"How do you know his idea?" Victoria asks him. Daniel just grins at her.

"Isn't it obvious. He wants his girl with him" my eyes widen at that. I look at Max and he is looking at me with a nervous look.

"Would you do it?" he asks me. It would be great to be with him, but I have a job offer from KLM. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do and hell, I have just worked 3 years for nothing then.

"I don't know Max. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do then" I tell him.

"You get to sit with Christian and the rest of the team and look at my lap times and at Daniel's. Your job will be telling me information about the times, who's getting closer or who I'm getting closer to. Austria is supposed to be a trial, so you can figure out what to do" Max says.

"It's an amazing job, Jas" Daniel says. I just nod, not knowing what to do.

"Please think about it" Max asks me. I nod.

"I'll think about it"

The rest of the day was spend getting to know Victoria and her getting to know Max and me. It's around 6 P.M and we're about to order some food. I hear my front door opening and I frown.

"I thought your parents were going to be out" Max says.

"Yeah, me too" I say.

"JAS?! Are you home?" is being yelled. My brother. My eyes widen and I jump up from the couch, wanting to keep him from entering the living room. He has briefly met Max at the wedding last night, but now Daniel freaking Ricciardo is here as well. But I'm too late. My brother walks in and his eyes widen. He looks from Max to Daniel and then back to me.

"Yeah, I'm home" I just mumble, making Victoria giggle. Max is just sitting there, chilled and Daniel looks confused and uncomfortable.

"How. What. I don't" that's what comes from my brothers mouth. I look at Daniel and his grin is back on his face.

"Stefan, you met Max. And this is Daniel and his girlfriend Victoria. Guys, this is my brother Stefan" I say. Daniel walks over and shakes his hand, my brother still confused as well. He just smiles and looks at me, waiting for an explanation.

"So, Daniel here wanted to take his girlfriend to meet us, so Max invited him to the Netherlands and here we are" I just say. Stefan nods and grabs my arm, pulling me to the kitchen, where they can't hear us.

"Okay, this is all still very weird to me, seeing Max Verstappen in my living room. And now Daniel Ricciardo is here. I don't even want to know, but I just came here to see if you wanted to eat with me and Jane, but I guess you're alright" he says. I nod.

"Yeah, don't worry about me, thanks though" he nods and leaves the house, after saying goodbye to Max, Daniel and Victoria. When I come back and Max smiles at me, I kind of know what I want. To be close to him. To be with him a lot more than I am now. And although I already am ready to work for KLM, this is a job offer as well. I could always just go back, right?

"I'll do it. I'll come to Austria with you"
