Y/N POV
I rushed through the halls. Just when I noticed the entrance to the dining room I stopped.
"Okay. I need to put myself together before I enter." I said to myself and tried to at least calm my breathing down.
"Alright, let's get into it." I tried to cheer myself up and entered the room.
I looked around and most of the members were already sitting at the table.
My arrival attracted everyone's attention and all eyes were suddenly on me. I gulped down and froze.
What the heck am I supposed to do now? Should I just casually sit down somewhere? What if they have assigned seats or something and I'll sit down on someone's seat? That would be embarrassing. But just standing here like statue isn't good either.
What the fuck am I supposed to do?
Just when I thought that it would be better to just disappear, to just let the ground swallow me, my two saviour saved me.
"Y/n, here you are!" said Felix with a wide smile and waving hand.
"Took you long enough. Come and join us." said Han and gestured me to join them.
Oh thanks god. I went to them quickly and bowed my head as salutation to the rest of the sitting members.
"Am I too late?" I asked quietly Felix when I stood next to him.
"Nah, Hyunjin and Changbin are not even here yet." answered my question Han.
I looked around and found out two important things. First, Han was right. Hyunjin and Changbin were nowhere to be found.
Second, Bang Chan was staring at me. I wasn't sure what to think about it. Let's just ignore it for now. I thought to myself.
Just when I wanted to ignore him I saw his gaze sliding from my face down, all over my body, to my feet and then back. A small smirk appeared on his face.
Wait! Did he just check me out? Just what exactly is going on?
We looked into each other's eyes and I could see him mumble something to himself. Not able to understand, not even a bit.
You know what? Let's just pretend like nothing happened, cuz this is really weird.
Just what exactly is on his mind?
"You're right. These two are not here yet. Did something happen?" I asked kinda worried. If I was right, you really shouldn't be late. Not at this kind of meetings.
"As I know them, they just probably lost track of time. Nothing else." said Felix and put his hand on my shoulder to calm me down.
I nodded and looked around the room just to notice Bang Chan gazing at me again. Again?
Is it really again or did he never really stopped staring at me?
I could see him frown all of sudden and piercing Felix's hand on my shoulder with his gaze.
"Felix's right. There's no need to worry about them." said Han and brought me back to reality.
"Oh really?" I asked and tried to continue our conversation pretending, that nothing happened. Or at least that I haven't noticed the killing stare of Bang Chan's.
"Yeah, let's sit you down." said Felix with his angelic smile and I couldn't help myself but reciprocate it.
"Okay. Thank you guys." I said thankful.
"I guess since you're here, the seating will change a little bit." said Han and looked at Felix.
"Yeah, I guess so. It's not like we have assigned seats." said Felix with smile.
"Yeah, it's more like unassigned assigned seats." said Han casually.
"Oh, if it's like this, then you can sit me wherever you want. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable or something." I said and tried to make sure, that they know I really mean it.
"Don't worry about it too much. I think it's time for a little change." said Han and put his hand around my shoulder friendly to let me know, that it's really not that big deal.
"Really? I'm really thankful for you guys." I said with a wide smile.
Just when we were in the middle of this nice conversation a loud noise interrupted us.
I turned my face to the sound and noticed Bang Chan's furious face and a lot of glass shards underneath him.
My eyes widened. What happened?
"Are you okay?" I spoke out before I could even properly think about it and rushed to him.
"What? Oh, sure. I'm okay." said Bang Chan looking at me with a smile. The furious face that he just a few seconds ago was gone.
Maybe it was just my imagination or something. Why would he be so furious all of sudden?
"Are you okay, Hyung?" asked worriedly I.N.
"Yeah, I'm sorry you all. The glass just slipped from my hand. I'm sorry I made you worry." said Bang Chan with a smile.
I nodded and let out an exhale. I'm not even sure why, but I was glad, that he was okay.
"I'm glad you're okay." said Minho and put a hand on Bang Chan's shoulder.
"But just in between us, we both know, that the glass didn't slip from your hand. So next time, when you crush something because of your angriness, make sure that the people that made you do it knows, that this mess is because of them. Otherwise it's just loss of beautiful glass." said Minho, patted Bang Chan on his shoulder and left.
What did Minho say to Bang Chan? I heard just every tenth word. This just awoken my curiosity. But to be honest, it's none of my business. So it will be better just to let my curiosity fall asleep again and mind my own business.
I knelt down in front of Bang Chan and began collecting the shards on the floor carefully.
"Wait! What are you doing?" said Bang Chan and looked at me. He scared me for a bit by the sudden increase of sound.
"What? I'm just collecting the shards." I said and looked at him in confusion. Did I do something wrong?
"Don't be stupid. We have the staff to take care of these kind of things." he said still staring at me.
"Oh, well, it doesn't matter. It's not like my hands will fall off or something if I help them a little bit." I said and continued to collect the shards.
"Come on, you will hurt yourself." said worried Bang Chan.
"No need to worry. I'm also clumsy from time to time, so I know what to do not to hurt myself. I broke many glasses before." I said with a smile and tried to calm him down, while collecting the shards.
In a matter of seconds was Bang Chan kneeling in front of me and holding both of my wrists, so I wasn't able to collect any more shards.
"Still. It can be still dangerous. You don't even have gloves or something. You shouldn't collect them." he said and stared right into my eyes.
I opened my mouth to oppose but before I could, he stopped me. His grip tightened to make sure, that I won't move and then he spoke up.
"I know you want to help, but not when there is risk of hurting yourself. Okay?" said bang Chan and looked seriously at me.
I just nodded and he let go of mine wrists.
"Now, let's put the collected shards from your hand on the ground, alright?" asked Bang Chan and waited for my nod.
I don't even know why, but the way he makes me feel...
It's just different. The way he looks at me. Talks to me nicely. Waits for my agreement. All these little details are the reason, why I have butterflies in my stomach right now.
It's like he really care about me. Even though I know he doesn't. Even though I know he only does this to persuade me. It still feels so real. It still feels like he cares about me.
It still hurts to think about this all being fake.
Bang Chan started carefully put shards from my hand on the ground and I just patiently waited.
Wait, the others must be staring at us. Gosh, this is embarrassing. I started to look around the room to find out, who was looking at us.
Bang Chan noticed and just slightly shook his head with a gentle smile.
"Don't worry. No one really cares anymore. Everyone has their conversations or other stuff to do." he said and looked at me with the most calming expression that I ever seen. It made my heart flutter.
I nodded again and smiled back at him.
I looked down and noticed a red spot on my blouse. More precisely, on my wrist. Exactly where Bang Chan held me a few seconds ago.
Wait. A red spot where Bang Chan held me. It can't be...
I looked at the shards, that Bang Chan took from my hand and put them on the floor back.
My eyes widened in fear. Some of them had red spots too.
No, that's not red spots. It's blood. Bang Chan's blood.
I threw rest of the shards that I had in my hand on the floor not caring about the chance of getting hurt by them.
"Wait, what are you doing, this is..." started Bang Chan but I didn't let him finish.
"And what are YOU doing? Are you crazy?" I asked sick worried.
What if he's really badly hurt and couldn't treat his wounds because of my stubborn, stupid self?
I took his hand and turned it, so I could see his palm. There was a big scratch over the whole palm.
"Are you kidding me? This must have hurt." I said with a quivering voice.
"It's nothing." said quickly Bang Chan and got out of my hold.
"What do you mean by nothing? Have you even seen it?" I said quickly. Emotions started to pent up inside of me. A lot of emotions. Fear, sadness, anger.
I'm not even sure why and right now it doesn't matter. I just need him to be okay.
"Of course I've seen it. Stop making such a big deal out of it. It's just a little scratch." he opposed and in that moment I couldn't hold in my emotions anymore.
"What do you mean by small scratch? Are you fucking blind? Or maybe stupid. I'm not sure which one of these and I don't really care right now." I said and grabbed his hand again.
"You're lecturing me this whole time about being careful and not hurting myself while you are bleeding here this whole time? Are you insane?" I said and stood up, still holding his hand.
"Me and you, we are two completely different things. I..." said Bang Chan but I wasn't going to let him finish.
"What the fuck do you mean by that? That it doesn't matter if or when you get hurt? Bullshit. That's nonsense." I shouted angrily and Bang Chan stood up. Still letting me hold his hand.
"Don't try to act like a fucking hero or something. You're bleeding pretty badly and instead of treating your wound or something you care about me? This..." I wanted to continue but I couldn't. I ran out of breath.
I was pretty sure, that everyone stared at us by this point. But I didn't care anymore. I tried to hold in tears, that appeared in my eyes for some unknown reason. I rather looked at the ground.
Bang Chan just quietly stared at me but I didn't have the guts to look at him too. I just couldn't.
"Felix." I just said without looking up.
"Yeah, y/n?" he said carefully. I could hear a worry in his voice.
I laughed at it a little bit in my mind. I'm not the one you should worry about right now. Because I may soon kill your boss.
"Where do you keep first aid kit?" I asked still staring at the ground.
"In the kitchen, if I'm right." answered Felix.
"It right here. When you leave, turn left and go for about 100 meters. It should be fourth or fifth door on the left." said Han.
I raised my head and looked at them with a smile. Luckily I know where the kitchen is. I've been there before.
"Thank you guys." I said with a small smile before I grabbed Bang Chan's wrist and led him out of the room. He just obediently followed me.
