Theseus's POV:
Theseus sat at top of a tall city building, swinging his legs, little white wings sprouted from his shoulder blades and fluffed impatiently. Atom Bomb was almost never late, but he'd been waiting for about five five minutes already. Dream had called him and told him it was time to come but was then ordered to wait until Atom Bomb arrived before going to their base.
Bing! His earpiece sounded, signaling that someone just came online.
"Hey Theseus! Sorry I'm late, I got distracted, I'm on my way right now," said Atom Bomb's voice from the earpiece.
"Dream and everyone is already at the base! Hurry up or I'm not going to wait long!" Theseus flapped his wings until they got bigger and bigger until they were big enough to carry him into the air.
"Alright got it," Atom Bomb said.
"What were you doing anyway?"
"I was finishing up a few projects."
Theseus raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "what did you make this time?"
"Hold on I'm almost here," Atom Bomb said before going offline again. Theseus sighed and few higher into the air, scanning the city with Atom Bomb with his grapple hook.
Theseus frowned when he couldn't see anything, his eye usually never missed any details, There was a faint buzzing sound but otherwise there wasn't anything unusual. Well that was until someone slammed into his back. He tumbled though the air until his wings took hold of his weight again.
"Oh, yikes, I'm still working on stopping," Theseus looked up to see Atom Bomb . . . but different. Instead of his fluffy brown hair, his front hair was honey blond. Atom Bomb was wearing his normal outfit, a thick, brown winter fur coat with neon yellow bands on rolled up sleeves with a black nuke symbol. Under the rolled up sleeves were black gloves with straps on them that led to a launching device under his forearms. On his face he wore transparent orange goggles and a gas mask. A belt on his waist contained pouches, sheathed knives, and other little gadgets that Theseus had no idea of. He wore boots with goat feet-like bottoms. Something that caught his attention were-
"Do you like my wings?" He grinned proudly.
Theseus blinked. Two straps ran across his chest that led behind him to a small backpack-like machine where the wings protruded from. Unlike Theseus's wings which flew in timed, heavy beats, his wings fluttered incredibly fast. They were smaller too, they looked transparent with a blue tint, and with pattern's like a bee's. He wore bee antennas too, though Theseus wasn't sure if they were a joke actually serious.
"Huh. So are you a bee themed villain now? Not very terrifying," Theseus noted.
"Nope, I still go by Atom Bomb, or Nuke. But . . . if you really think I'd be a good bee themed villain . . . " Nuke said in a fake thinking tone, Theseus felt like he was smiling under his gas mask."
"Alright never mind, we'll stick Nuke then, everyone else is already there so I hope those wings of yours can fly fast," Theseus gave him a lopsided smile.
Turns out Nuke's wings were fast. Too fast. They had to stop multiple times because Nuke kept on almost running into buildings until they flew high above the city.
They flew for a bit, enjoying the view until Theseus pointed down to a bridge, the bridge was very tall and had many layers or bricks. It was away from most of the taller buildings in a park area. A random guy sat on the middle of the bridge near the railing. He was sitting on an old quilt with nothing but a plate of cookies and a coil of thick rope. The guy was looking into the dark water below, sparkling with lights from the city.
"Okay, you do know how to land?" Theseus asked eyeing Nuke.
"Of course!"
Theseus got lower and lower, closer to the bridge, still keeping his eyes on Nuke. His feet slowly touched the floor and he landed without noise. His wings started shuffling and getting smaller as he gestured for Nuke to land. Nuke landed surprisingly well with a small clump from the goat hooves.
Theseus nodded in approval. "Hey that's a pretty good and quiet landing-"
"HELLOO!" Theseus whipped around. The random guy had jumped up. He had a light tan, light brown hair, energetic, bright green eyes and glasses. He didn't look homeless but he also didn't look like he lived in popular parts of the city either. He wore a white T-shirt with three hearts on it. The strangest thing was the green slime, as equally as bright as his eyes that was dripping from him.
"Shut up bitch! You're gonna attract attention!" Theseus snapped.
"Yes! Okay!" The guy didn't look any less happy.
Theseus turned to Nuke with a distasteful look. "What happened to the homeless guy?"
"Oh, bossman caught him trying to snitch on us," Nuke shrugged. "This guy was the only other person willing to do this job, I don't think he understands what's going on though."
"Shame," Theseus's expression didn't change, "I enjoyed talking to him. But ah well." He turned to look at the slime guy. "I'm just worried about this guy."
"Hi! Happy face man told me a chicken and a goat would come!" He chirped happily.
"I am NOT a chicken!" Theseus gestured to where his wings used to be.
"Okay!"
"I'm Theseus- you call me THE-SE-US or king."
"Hello! I'm Slime!"
"Wow. Very creative name," Nuke noted. He hadn't meant it as a compliment but Slime nodded enthusiastically.
"Can you just tell us the . . . y'know?" Theseus said impatiently.
"Oh! Yes!" He paused for a moment and Theseus worried he might have forgotten it when he spoke up again. "It's the one with the 'C' with a line going through it!"
"I'll go check first," Nuke offered but Theseus knew it was just an excuse to use his wings again. Before Theseus could say anything Nuke's wings started beating and he flew under the bridge. Theseus leaned over edge, waiting for Nuke's response.
"Is it a vertical line or horizontal line?" His voice rang out from under the bridge.
"Uhm, it's the line that goes through the 'C'," Slime replied, he held up his hands to try mimic the symbol but then let them drop down again. He clearly didn't know what vertical or horizontal meant. Theseus turned to him.
"He means if it's the line that goes up down or left right," he clarified.
"Oh!" Slime nodded. "Up down."
Apparently Nuke didn't hear what they said clearly because he answered with a confused, "WHAT?"
Theseus leaned over the edge again, "VERTICAL!"
Tubbo's POV:
Tubbo ran a hand along the bricks on the bottom of the bridge. Each was engraved with a different symbol. The person who on top of the bridge has to reveal the right block to the people within the organization because the right block was always changing under Dream's control. Tubbo quickly found the 'C' with a vertical line in it.
"Found it!" He called up before turning his attention to the brick.
He ran a finger along the symbol, then along the brick around it. Almost immediately, the lines Tubbo traced shone a bright green.
Suddenly Theseus poked his head under the bridge and climbed down, his hands and feet sticking to the underside of the bridge. His silver-blond hair and sunglasses were somehow somewhat still in place. Theseus was wearing white shirt with a red hood attached tucked under his belt which has a chain and a few other little secrets attached to it. Over it was a white collared jacket with rolled up red sleeves. Under his sleeves were fingerless black gloves. He wore brown-gray pants (covered with many multi-colored patches) that tightened a few inches under his knee. The rest of his leg was covered in white bandages all the way down to his red and white sneakers.
"So are you a villain spider-man now?" Tubbo said, returning the joke from earlier.
"Oh shut up," Theseus said, joining Tubbo by the block.
The block has turned from a rough brick texture to a flat, smooth surface, like glass. Tubbo pressed his glove to the surface. Everyone in the organization has a symbol on the bottom of their gloves too flat and small to be remade or copied. The brick started melting- more like crumbling and dissolving into nothingness along with another section of the bridge.
Realizing his wings wouldn't fit, Tubbo grabbed the edge of the opening with one hand then ordered the wings to fold down with his other. He pulled himself up into a dingy old hallway that seemed endless. The walls were bricks, dim lights flickering, spiderwebs everywhere, it was identical to rooms in horror movies. He stood up straight and patted down his pants. Meanwhile Theseus climbed up into the room with ease.
"You did the brick thing so it's my turn," Theseus said, nudging in front of Tubbo. He took a little round glass ball from his belt. The liquid inside was multicolored, colors frequently changing at every angle you look at it from.
Theseus raised his arm above his head and smashed orb. Smoke the same color as the liquid quickly filled up the whole room. Tubbo's vision unfocused, everything was blurred, the air smelled like chemicals.
Tubbo's eyes re-adjusted to the room which seems nothing like the one it looked like earlier.
"Now that was a bit dramatic wasn't it? We do this almost everyday," Tubbo said walking over to Theseus.
The walls and floors had turned into white and gray marble, the spider webs now glowing green, the lights now shone brightly and no longer flickered.
"I know, I know, I just can't get over how fucking awesome Dream's abilities are! Every time!" Theseus said in awe, watching as the last of the mist faded away.
"I mean, it is cool but as you said, we're late," Tubbo said, before down the long hallway.
"HEY don't you leave me!" Theseus chased after him and quickly caught up.
Tubbo ran down the hallway looking at the at the ceiling with Theseus behind him. He stopped at a chandelier halfway down the hallway.
"You think you can make that jump first try?" Theseus said, estimating the distance between the floor and the ceiling.
"Of course, you've seen me do it before,
He jumped up high and grabbed the metal ring holding anything together.
"Are you really that light? You need help?"
"Shut up, I got it," Tubbo said, he swung his body up until his feet were up against the ceiling and pulled on the chandelier. A large block of gray marble around the chandelier swung down like a trap door revealing a set of stairs on the other side. Tubbo swung his feet down and landed on the floor again.
"Let me do it next time, I could do it fast," Theseus said, already walking up the staircase. Tubbo quickly followed behind him. The marble stairs led to a little room with a few panels on the walls. Theseus walked over the panel near the stairs. He flipped up the white protection covering to reveal a black screen. He placed his palm on it which immediately shut trapdoor making the staircases on the wall upside. The staircases then folded down and the wall smoothened out as if was never there.
"Come on," he grabbed Theseus and pulled him to the opposite end of the room where a silver door was, engraved with symbols. Tubbo grabbed the doorknob and twisted it open. Inside, a few people where sitting at a long rectangular wooden table, talking but quickly stopped and turned to look when the door opened.
The person sitting at the end of the tabled interlaced his fingers. "Atom Bomb, Theseus, glad you could finally join us."
|| A/N: I think this chapter was a bit longer than the other two. Let me know what you can prefer, shorter chapters or longer ones? (Also very sorry if it seems boring so far, more interesting stuff planned for the future.) ||
