the love potion

"kidnapping teens in a castle!"

FOUR out of the five VKs were currently gathered in the girls shared dorm room, Carlos sitting against Mal's bed with Madeline sitting next to him as she attempted to finished the homework she was assigned from today.

Evie was at the table and Mal sitting on her bed above Maddie and Carlos as she flipped through her spell book.

Soon, their concentration was disturbed as Jay came into the room with a jersey on it that showed the number 8 along with his name on the back.

He walked up to his friends, whistling and showing off the jersey as Madeline held her hand up, in which Jay high fived as he walked towards her.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Carlos cheered as Jay continued to pose in victory with a grin on his face.

Jay then walked to the other side of Mal's bed, holding into the frame like the pink haired girl did earlier when she spelled Jane. "Did it work? Are you going over to see the wand?"

"Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book if i hadn't completely struck out?" Mal rambled, catching Maddie and Evie's attention as Jay's eyes widened at her words.

"Someone's in a bad mood." Carlos spoke and Maddie nodding alongside him for once, agreeing with the boy.

"My mum's counting on me! I cant let her down!" Mal remarked as she flicked the back of Carlos' head, Madeline laughed from beside the boy who shoved her lightly.

"We can do this.." Jay encouraged the group for the first time in years, the other VKs all looking at each other in worry. "If we stick together."

"And we wont go back until we do. Because we're
rotten..."

"To the core.." the rest of them finished with grins on their faces.

"Oh, yeah. I found out that Fairy Godmother blesses Ben with the wand at coronation and we all get to go." Evie then spoke, everyone's attention all moving to the blue haired girl as she sighed annoyed. "I have nothing to wear, of course."

A knocking sounded at the door distracting Mal as Maddie turned to Evie. "Why didn't you tell Mal earlier?" she whispered at her as Carlos nodded with Maddie.

"I was busy doing Chad's homework! Duh!" Evie whispered back and Madeline rolled her eyes, turning her attention to Mal who was already at the door, opening it quickly.

The door revealed Ben and Andy with smiles on their faces. "Hey Mal." Ben spoke as Andy looked behind the door to see four VKs sitting on the floor. "Hey guys!" Andy spoke to Maddie, Evie Carlos and Jay, who all looked at the boy confused, waving slightly with confused expressions on their faces.

"We didn't see you guys today and we were wondering if you had any questions or anything that you need." the boy stuttering in his words as he saw all the VKs looking at him.

"Not that I know of.." Mal trailed off as she looked at her friends behind her who all continued to stare at both Beast boys.

"Okay! All right." Andy clapped his hand which signalled Ben to continue talking.

"Well, if you need anything, just.. uh.." Ben stuttered as he started to walk away, Andy following before Mal yelled back at them.

"Oh. Wait! Um.. is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?"

"Yeah, the whole school goes." Ben replied as Andy nodded eagerly.

"Wow. That is beyond exciting." Mal replied with a voice that showed no interest but Ben smiled at her response. "Do you think it's a possibility that the five of us could stand in the front row next to Fairy Godmother, just so we could... soak up all that goodness."

"I wish you could.." Ben said to the VKs as Mal's smile faltered. "Up front its just me, my folks, Andy, and my girlfriend." Andy smiled as he saw the VKs eyes turn to him.

"And your girlfriend?" Mal asked as he nodded.

"Yeah, im sorry."

"Okay. Thanks, bye." Mal sweetly said as she slammed the door closed, Madeline seeing the younger Beast boy moving his head to peek through.

"I thinks its time that Bennyboo got himself a new girlfriend.." Mal smiled at her friends who all grinned back at her. "And i need a love spell.."

Mal then clapped her hands, signalling for her spell book in which Carlos turned around and grabbed it from her bed.

"All right. It says that we still need one tear and i never cry." Mal spoke as she stirred her cookie batter as Evie helped beside her. Carlos and Madeline sat on one of the kitchen counters as Jay stood beside Maddie.

"Let's just chop up some onions?" Carlos asked as Maddie nodded liking the idea.

"No. It says that we need one tear of human sadness." Mal retorted as Madeline and Jay sighed at her words, not knowing where they would get the ingredient. "And this love potion gets the best reviews, so we have to follow it exactly."

"A tear's a tear..." Jay added but Evie stopped him.

"Thats not true, Jay. They both have antibodies and enzymes, but an emotional tear has more protein- based hormones than a reflex tear."

Jay stood back, confused of what the girl said as Madeline smiled at how smart she really was.

"Listen to you.." Mal mumbled to the girl as she smiled back at the pink haired girl.

"Yeah, I knew that.." Jay shrugged.

"Did not." Carlos kicked the boy from where he was as Jay spun around.

"Yeah i did.."

"Yeah right." Maddie shoved him as he groaned at her words, ignoring his two friends beside him.

The VKs all jumped at the sound of the door opening, all looking up at the door to see a girl in a pink shirt and flower pants, as Mal rushed to cover her spell book. Lonnie.

"There you are Mal! I was looking for you!" Lonnie exclaimed as she rushed over to the pink haired girl who was still struggling with cover the book. "You know all the girls want you to do their hair!"

Mal continued stirring as the VKs all tried to look normal, Evie putting her arm onto Mal shoulder as Jay stood straight with a smile, Maddie and Carlos following as Carlos held onto Dude.

"Midnight snack, huh? Whatcha guys making?" the brunette then asked them, Mal squinting at Evie trying to make up a quick lie.

"Nothing special. Just cookies." she answered quickly as Maddie and Carlos nodded together, Lonnie eyeing them off suspiciously.

The girl then quickly stuck her finger in the batter before any of the teens could stop her, Mal quickly shouting after her as she licked her finger.

"No, no, no!" Mal cried as she winced, seeing that Lonnie had already eaten the batter.

All the teens had their hands stuck out towards Lonnie, Carlos and Maddie both suiting the look with both of their mouths dropped and Jay smirked as he thought.

"What? Im not gonna double dip!" Lonnie exclaimed, confused on why they didn't want her to try it. Did they do it differently on the Isle?

"Feel anything?" Evie asked quickly as Mal joined in.

"Yeah, like maybe it might be missing something?"

Jay then started to walk towards the brunette, raising one eyebrow as she smirked at Lonnie. He posed for the girl as she glanced at him confused. "Hey there.."

Lonnie froze for a moment before she began again. "It could use some chips?"

Jay's eyebrows furrowed as Carlos and Maddie silently laughed at him. "Chips?" he questioned.

Mal sighed thankfully. "And those are!?"

"Chocolate chips?" Lonnie asked dumbfound. "Just the most important food group" she brang over a bowl of what seemed to be mini chocolate, placing them on the table and grabbing a handful.

"Wait, didn't your mum ever make you guys like chocolate chip cookies?" Lonnie asked the VKs who all looked confused at her words. Carlos furrowed his eyebrows as Maddie looked down. "Like, when you're feeling sad and they're fresh from the oven."

Evie was then next one to look at the floor as she remembered what life was like back on the Isle not even a day or two ago.

"With a big old glass of milk and she just makes you laugh and outs everything into perspective and.." Lonnie began but then stopped as she looked around to she the faces on her new friends.

Jay had looked down next as his hands flopped down by his side, Maddie grabbing his hand and squeezed it, letting him know he's not alone.

Carlos saw the interaction and smiled slightly even though Lonnie had made the scene a bit depressed for the villian kids.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Lonnie asked confused.

"Its just different where we're from." Mal said sadly for the group as she started to stir the batter again to distract herself from thinking about her mother again.

"Yeah, I know. I just, you know, I thought.." Lonnie tried to explain herself as she looked behind herself to see Jay and Maddie's sad faces. "Even villains love their kids!" she exclaimed but got nowhere.

"Oh..." The girl looked around again and started to tear up at the thought that they never got to have the same childhood experiences. "How awful.."

Lonnie then grabbed Mal's hand for comfort as he insides hurt from the sad thoughts clouding up her mind.

Mal looked up at the brunette as she held the girls hand, looking into her eyes then quickly spotting a tear rolling down the girls cheek.

She gasped and grabbed the tear from her cheek, flicking it into the batch of cookie dough.

This caught all of teens attention, noticing that they had finally finished their love potion, Mal clearing her throat and rushed to stir the dough once again.

"Yeah, well, big bummer but we have to get these in the oven, so thank you so much for coming by.." Mal trailed iff as Madeline jumped if the counter to push Lonnie out if the room as Mal still continued to stir the cookies.

"Really, have a good night..." Madeline siad to girl as she smiled sweetly, Lonnie rushing out if the room as Maddie continued to lead her out.

"I'll see you tomorrow! Evil dreams!" Mal yelled as she stirred, Madeline closing the door on the girl as Mal sighed.

"Okay, boys. Cookie sheet. Evie oven. Maddie, help me make the cookies." Mal spoke as they all rushed around the kitchen, rushing to bake the cookies before it got too late.

Mal and Madeline walked to their lockers together, Mal holding the cookies in a plastic bag as she tried to sneak behind Audrey and Ben.

Both girls opened their lockers before the girls that Mal had done their hair for starting calling her name as she waved to them all.

"Love my hair Mal!"

"Thanks for the hair Mal!"

Jay then snuck up next to Maddie who jumped as the boy started talking, moving next to Mal so she could also see the boy.

"Do you feel weird about this? Both of you? I mean its not so bad here, you know? You have your flowers and you have your spells." Jay said as her pointed to Maddie as he spoke about the flowers of Auradon.

"I mean, he's not wrong. I love the flowers." she grinned as she turned to Mal.

"Are you guys insane!? Long live evil!" Mal whispered at the two angrily as they both stood up straight. "You're mean! You're awful!" Mal began to point in Maddie's face as Jay started to realise what he had just said to the girl. "You're bad news!"

The pink haired girl then snapped her fingers as she turned to Jay who jumped at the sudden movement. "Snap out of it!"

Jay then sighed as he felt like he let his father down before looking back at Mal. "Thanks, Mal. I needed that." he then laughed as Maddie furrowed her brows at the pair, before sighing.

Jay went towards Evie and Carlos who were waiting at the fence, watching Mal. Madeline stayed with the pink haired girl to make sure the plan stayed on track.

"Do you think they actually paid for those?" Audrey asked Ben, Andy and Ryker who had just come from his locker and wanting to walk with his brother and friend. Not so much Audrey.

"Oh. Hello.." Jay spoke to the group of girls over the railing as Carlos rolled his eyes once again at his flirting. "The name's Jay. You all going to the tourney game to tonight?"

The girls all began to giggle as Andy winced at the scene. "Yeah.." the girls spoke as Jay smirked.

"Keep a lookout for number eight, all right? Scoring the winning goal." Jay finished with a wink as they began to giggle again, nodding at the VK.

"She did it to Jane's hair too, and Fairy Godmother not happy about it."

"Whats the harm?" Ben asked his girlfriend with a shrug, not understanding the problem.

"Whats the problem?" Ryker asked his friend who looked up at him. "Next thing we know, Madeline Gothel is kidnapping teens in castle along with her friends like she did to my mother Ben! Who wants a threat like that at their own school?" Ryker exclaimed and Andy held the boy back before he could go full rage on the girl which he spotted not far behind Ben.

"And it's gateway magic Ben!" Audrey added with a pout. "Sure it starts with the hair. Next thing you know it the lips and then the legs and the clothes and then everybody looks good and then where will I be?" she reasoned with the boy but the eldest twin wasn't having it.

Mal and Madeline heard the girl arguing to the boy, Maddie also spotting the eldest Fitzherbert who quickly sensed her stare, looking over at her with a glare. Andy noticed this and held his friend back by his shoulder.

"Listen, Audrey."

"I will see you at the game after my dress-fitting for the coronation, okay?" she paused the boy and spoke.

"Okay.."

"Bye, Bennyboo."

"Bye.." Ben trailed off awkwardly as he looked after to his younger brother with his eyes widened.

"We've gotta go before he launches at Gothel behind you.." Andy whispered to his brother, Ben looking towards his taller friend who had his eyes set on, who he suspected to be, Madeline Gothel behind him.

Ben nodded to his brother as Andy pulled the boy away with as much as he could, Ryker setting his feet into the ground before quickly giving up and walking away beside Andy

Mal and Madeline then shut their lockers at the same time, quite loudly when they say that everyone had left Ben standing at his locker. The eldest Beats boy turned at the sound to be greeted by no other than Mal and Maddie.

"Hey Bennyboo!" Mal called as Madeline stood behind her friend with a tight smile on her lips.

"Hey!" Ben exclaimed as he walked towards the pair of VKs holding a smile on his lips.

Mal chuckled before speaking and holding up the bag of a single cookie, Ben's eye looking at it quickly before meeting Mal's eyes again.

"We just made a batch of cookies. Double chocolate chip. Want one?" Mal asked the brunnete boy with sweet smile.

"Made with love of course.." Maddie added before getting elbowed in the stomach by Mal, the black haired girl clutching her stomach in pain as Mal quietly snickered. Ben looked to the girl in concerned before Mal stole his attention again.

"Up for grabs!" she cheered while waving the bag of cookie in the air but Ben frowned.

"Ive got a big game. I don't eat before a big game. But thank you guys so, so much. Thank you." The boy smiled at the pair.

"No yeah." Mal stepped forward but Madeline stayed back, knowing the girl was going to work her magic. Literally." I completely understand. Be careful of treats offered by kids of villains.." Mal spoke as she turned to Madeline who was playing the sad act for more effect.

Ben's brows raised in confusion and looked back to Mal as he stuttered. "No, no, no.."

"No, Im sure every kid in Auradon knows that."

"No, no. Thats not it. No, no, no. I really do.. I have.."

"No i get it. Your cautious. Thats smart. Oh well, more for us, I guess." Mal said, grabbing the cookie from the bag and going to pass it Maddie behind her before Ben slapped it from her hand and took it off her.

"No, no. Hey.." Ben spoke before taking a bite from it as Mal and Madeline's eyes widened, Maddie stepping back a bit to unsure that the love potion would work as he Ben would need to focus in on Mal. "See that? Totally trust you guys.. Not trusting villian kids? Ha! As if.." Ben trailed off as he looked down at the cookie.

Mal then smirked at Ben then looking back at Evie, Carlos and Jay, signalling for them to come forwards.

"How are they?" Mal asked Ben asked the four VKs started to slowly creep towards the pair, Jay going behind Ben and Maddie, Carlos and Evie circling around Mal and Ben.

"They're good." He nodded with his mouth full, his words slowly down as Mal noticed the spell was starting to take place. "They're great! They're amazing!" he exclaimed.

"They're, i mean, they're chewy and, you know they.. is that walnuts?" Ben asked and Mal nodded, not knowing what any type of nut really was. "I love walnuts." the boy then chuckled he continued to glance down at the cookie.

"I mean, you know, the chocolate.." Ben then cleared his throat, obvious to all 5 VKs that the potion was taking effect. "The chocolate.. The chocolate chips are.." he then paused, looking down at the cookie once more.

"Im sorry, um.. They're warm and soft. And they're sweet.." he paused again before looking deeply into Mal's eyes. "Mal, have you always had those little golden flecks in your eyes?"

Ben was about to take another bite before Mal took the cookie off him, not wanting the boy to have any more of the potion as it was evident it was working.

Jay then grabbed the boys shoulder, holding him as the Beast boy stared into Mal's dark green eyes. "How you feeling, bro?"

Maddie smiled at Carlos and Evie as they all had noticed the potion had worked, their mission successful.

"I feel.. I feel.. I feel like singing your name." Ben said to Mal whose eyes widen at his words. "Mal! Mal!" Ben cried as Mal covered his mouth, the boy still trying to sing the pink haired girls name out loud. Jay chuckled at the boy while taking the cookie from the girl and whistling, wondering if they overdid the potion.
