𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗬-𝗦𝗜𝗫

𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗦 right, or even real. In this moment the Pogues had all felt like that.

Luna hadn't been able to sleep last night, the police sirens making her jump in fear, her paranoia on a night through the nine hours.

"He's pinched for sure, man." JJ bit into his bottom lip, pacing around the empty restaurant.

The brunette shook her head, her hazel eyes running over his worried face as she spoke, "No. They wouldn't still be patrolling if they caught him. You know, we were in that car. They're probably looking for us, too."

She had a point, they had been busting their asses to keep the innocent teenager out of sight, the cops had known that as well.

"Well, if we're gonna be outlaws, we might as well help John B." JJ added, coming to rest his elbows on the cleaned surface of the table top, "So, find him before they do?"

The three nodded, piecing together their plan. This might have been one the worst ideas that they ever had, but as long as it clears John B.

"Pope?" Luna turned to him, her face wearily as she took in his quiet state.

His brown eyes flicked to hers, filled with something unreadable, "I'm gonna get gas for the boat."

"Hey, you be careful." Kie smiled gently at him, still assuming that he had been sensitive from last night.

Pope wasn't over it, he didn't think he could ever be over it. He confessed his love for his best friend and got nothing out of it, "Okay? Meet me at the dock at three. Don't be late."

The door was slammed closed, angry evidence left behind as he stormed over towards his motorcycle, his heart thumping through his chest as annoyance made his vainest pop.

Kiara was quick to chase him outside, Luna and JJ following her as they pursued their lips in confusion.

"Okay, what is your problem?" She called, hurrying down the steps as she caught up with him.

He glanced at her, placing his helmet on his head as shrugged, "No problem, Officer. I'm just doing my job."

"Look, I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings." Kie began, her voice blurring as he revved his engine loudly, her lips shutting.

"What was that?" He taunted, tilting his head to the side as his fingertips pressed into the engine every time she parted her lips to speak.

"Pope, I'm being serious..." She yelled, ignoring the loud roaring sounding over her toneless voice, "I'm trying to talk to you!"

Without another word from the hurt boy, he sped off, leaving a cloud of dust as his tires dug into the ground below him.

Kiara stood frozen, blowing out a breath of air threw her lips as she groaned.

Luna glanced up, her ears ringing as the helicopter blades above her whirred loudly, she cringed at the sound echoing through her ear drums, "What the fuck?"

"Who is that?" JJ threw his head back, placing a hand over her forehead, attempting to get a better look at the low helicopter driving over them.

"This is getting bad. I need to do something." Luna shook her head, ripping herself away from the ledge as she scurried down the wooden steps.

The blonde followed after her, pulling his brows together in protest, "we can't do anything about this."

"Yes we can, JJ. You can't just except to sit and hope for the best while John B is being hunted." She shot back, her tone harsher then she had intended it to be.

"Look, I understand why you want to run out and put yourself on the spot. We weren't there on the tarmac. They don't believe us." JJ cooed, flicking his light eyes between hers as he pouted slightly.

Luna crossed her arms over her chest, her worried-ness being replaced by sudden anger, "who's fault is that?"

"What?" He scrunched his nose, confusion dawning on him.

"If you let me go with him, maybe I could've done something to help Peterkin." Luna scoffed, keeping eye contact with the blonde.

"You couldn't have done anything! You probably would've gotten shot. You're not a superhero, Luna. Sometimes things happen and we have no control over them." JJ raised his voice slightly, narrowing his eyes in disbelief at the careless girl stood before him.

Luna rolled her eyes, "we can choose if we have control over them or not. I've lost my father, basically my mother, I'm a stranger to my little sister. I can not loose John B."

"You won't loose him. He's going to be fine. I need to keep you safe." JJ reassured, steeping closer to her in a comforting manner, she backed away.

"I can take care of myself. You're not my boyfriend, not my dad, you're just my friend. This is my family. You will not get in the way of this." Luna snapped, swallowing the lump in her throat as the words left her mouth.

His face softened with her sudden rejection towards him, his lips loosing any source of smile as they pressed together, "then leave."

"Gladly." Luna breathed out, turning her head away from him as she stomped off.

This was all apart of her plan, creating a hole between her friendships to cope with the idea of loosing her brother. She hated that he cared about her so much, and she hated that she cared about him so much.

"Shit!" JJ cursed loudly, throwing his hat on the ground with force, his blonde strands being messy and tussled as he ran his fingers through them.
