-Y/N's pov-

George held his hand out to me, I took it as I slowly got up from the bed. He opened the door and we slipped out as quickly and quietly as possible.

The wooden floor was cold on my bare feet, but I ignored it as me and George went down the stairs. Suddenly, one of the floor boards let out a massive creak. George and I froze, our hearts beating out of our chests. A few seconds went by and when we were sure the coast was clear, we ran down as fast as we could without making any noise.

We went out through the kitchen door and ran through the garden. The cold grass tickled my feet. It was a full moon and the stars were bright, so I could clearly see everything. The leaves and and grass around us were slightly wet from the rain earlier that day, so they were shimmering under the moonlight. I took a deep breath and  the Dewey, sweet air filled my lungs.

We walked for a while in silence. Occasionally pointing something out, or cracking a joke.
Everything was beautiful. Everything was peaceful.

I took it all in; The cold air, the crickets chirping, the feeling of the grass on my feet, the gentle night time breeze... It was a magical moment and I felt happier than I've ever been before. I felt free.

I saw George smiling at me. He grabbed my hand and spun me around in circles. We laughed and danced together. I could feel the happiness radiating from us.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and I looked up at him. We were gazing into each others eyes. I felt so warm, and safe, and happy.

-George's POV-

Y/N looked so pretty under the moonlight. As I stared into her eyes, the feeling of butterflies in my stomach came back stronger than ever.

She hugged me close and rested her head on my chest. I held her tightly in my arms and I rested my head on her's. I want to stay like this forever.

Y/N let go after what felt like ages. She sat on the grass and smiled up at me. I sat down next to her. Once again, I took her hand. This time she didn't even flinch.

"Y/N," I said "you look beautiful." I saw her blush a bit. She smiled sheepishly and hugged her knees. Y/n looks adorable when she's shy.

I don't know what got over me, but I felt a rush of confidence.

I scooched over a bit so I was sitting right in front of her. I gently took her other hand and held in mine. She looked at me a little confused, but she was smiling. "Can I tell you something?" She nodded.

I sighed and said "Y/N. I really like you. You're an amazing friend, but I've always seen you more than that. You're always there for me, you always treat me really well, and I always feel happy when I'm with you. I've never felt this way with anybody before... I mean, you're wayyy out of my league so I understand if you don't feel the same way about me, bu-"

I was cut off by her letting go of my hands, holding my face, and giving me a sweet, gentle kiss on the lips.

When she let go I saw she was smiling, but she had tears running down her face. "Blimey, are you okay? Did I do something wrong?" I was worried, but then she laughed shakily.

"No, silly! Of course I'm okay, I'm more than okay! I'm so happy. I feel exactly the same way about you. I was so scared you would reject me so I was always too scared to tell you.."

I looked at her, astonished. I can't believe it... She likes me back?? "Why would I ever reject you? Anyone who decides to reject you must be out of their mind." She gave another shaky laugh as I wiped the tears off her face.

"May I?" I asked, leaning closer to her face. She smiled and nodded. I placed a soft, passionate kiss on her lips. It was the best feeling ever. I had the girl of my dreams in my arms. And she likes me back!!

We layed down on the grass after a while, watching the stars. She wrapped her arm around me, looked me straight in the eyes and said

"George Fabien Weasley, I love you."
