"Man, that was a good movie... I didn't expect them to actually lose the fight in the end, what a plot twist!" Heizou beamed, clearly enjoying himself. It had only taken a few days of messaging for him and Kazuha to agree to meet up again. Maybe it wasn't just the good movie that made Heizou feel like he was floating on cloud nine.
"They really did surprise everyone in the theatre. That synchronized gasp was almost funnier than the movie itself." Kazuha added, taking a breath of freeh evening air. "You picked well." An approving smile into Heizou's direction painted a proud smirk on the man's face. "Thank you, thank you. I figured a little action would be perfect to shake your everyday drag the best." Heizou teased, referring to the many times Kazuha had complained about the many legal documents he had to go through to park his camper to live in it.

"Speaking of which, you really need to show me the source of all evil now that you told me so much about it." The red haired man had a mischievous smirk on his lips, challenging the other. But Kazuha wasn't so easy to bully. "Is that an attempt of making me invite you into my home?" He replied bluntly, catching Heizou a little off guard. This guy really had no shame, talking about first date things so casually. Wait, did he not think it was a date? Neither of them established that, but given the way both of them had been talking to each other-

Kazuha's precious giggle shattered the train of thought. "You look like a deer in headlights right now." Kazuha's cheeks were flush, a pretty pink that was almost hidden by the darkness of the streets at night, but Heizou wouldn't be a detective if he couldn't even see that. "I'm just teasing. If you really want to see it, you're welcome anytime. Just don't expect too much." Kazuha offered, much to the delight of the deer.

"A home is a home, and since it's yours I'm sure it will be perfectly cozy." Heizou reassured him, stemming his hands onto his hips a little overdramatically. "That's good then." Their conversation died down as they approached the train station. It wasn't the same as they had met, not even the same line, but simply being on a train together had been such a memorable experience for them that they couldn't help but feel flustered about it.

A comfortable silence accompanied them throughout the entire ride, while both of them pretended to look outside the window just to steal glances at the other occasionally. "Ah, the next one is where we have to get off." Kazuha finally broke the silence and Heizou wished that they could sit and exist together for just a little more. Hearing him talk was better, though. Plus the anticipation of already visiting his date's home was refusing to be ignored any longer.

God, a date. Heizou couldn't believe he was on one. He hoped it was one, at least. Thoughts spiraling, he didn't even realize what Kazuha was talking about until the long awaited camper came into sight. Even though they had walked across an entire camping ground with countless campers, tents and odd combinations of the two, to Heizou it was perfectly clear which one belonged to his date immediately. The way it was taken care of perfectly despite the wear and tear of old age fit Kazuha's personality to a T.

"What are you smiling about?" Kazuha asked, very well aware that the other hadn't been listening to his ramblings. Caught red handed - or well, red cheeked - Heizou stumbled over his words before smoothing it over with his people skills. "I uh- I just noticed how well maintained your living space is. Even the flowers around it seem more alive than any other garden's."

"Oh my, what a charmer." Kazuha replied, side eyeing the poor man while rustling his pockets for a key. "You might make my brownies jealous if you keep sweet talking me like that." More than the embarrassement of not being able to use his detective skills to hold a normal conversation, it bugged Heizou that he for once wasn't the one in control of the conversation. It was new, felt weird, but it wasn't unpleasant. Not if it made Kazuha smile like that.

"I'll just eat your brownies then..." Heizou mumbled, a silly solution for a silly accusation. "I would advise you not to, unless you're up for a good time..." Kazuha chuckled, those brownies were his specialty after all. Right, how could Heizou forget. His mind was in all but the right places right now and it was all that damn pretty boy's fault. A random picture frame on one of the shelves served as perfect escape from the hole the conversation digging.

"Who is that?" Heizou inquired without even looking at the image properly. He wish he had before asking. Kazuha smiled, but the spark he carried in his eyes all evening vanished before Heizou could do anything. "That's... my late best friend." He took the frame into his hands, wiping some dust off the glass. "Oh, I'm so sorry-" Heizou realized he had stepped on a mine with this one, but Kazuha stopped him mid apology. "It's alright. I've been waiting for someone to ask me about him. All my other friends know what happened and never mention him to me out of respect, but honestly... I just want to relive some of the good memories."

A moment of heavy, but peaceful silence passed. "Do you want to tell me about him then?" Heizou was hesitant, but a spark of hope returned to Kazuha's eyes. If listening was all he had to do to make him happy, then he was willing to do that for as long as it took. Forever, even. "Are you sure? I don't want old stories to ruin-" Kazuha stopped himself, but Heizou knew what he wanted to say. That alone was already more than he expected of this evening together. "I'm sure. Tell me all about him."
