"And that is how I got someone fired in my first week at the nursery", Charlotte said.

As Oliver laughed he notice more family was arriving. Even though the kitchen was quite spacious and the table quite large, he wondered if everyone would fit comfortably. Noah was beckoning him to meet some others and he excused himself with Charlotte but promised he would be back.

"Ollie, I want you to meet my grand uncle Reece and grand aunt Marjorie," Noah said

Oliver's eyes widened and solicited a boisterous laugh from Marjorie.

"I see Char has been telling tales from my villain era," she said

Oliver looked away not wanting to confirm or deny anything for fear that there might be bad blood there. Noah place his hand on Oliver's lower back and reassured him that there was nothing to worry about. Aside from being his Aunt, Noah knew that Marjorie was his Gran's oldest and dearest friend.

Marjorie and Reece moved further into the room to greet other family members when another elderly couple entered the kitchen.

"Oliver, this is my grandmother Autumn and grandfather Winter," Noah said. Oliver snickered ever so slightly at their names which earned him a stern and disapproving look from grandmother Autumn. Oliver was quick to make apologies and was met with a warm smile from grandpa Winter.

"It is okay, Oliver, my Love is just a little over the season jokes after nearly fifty years." Winter said.

Oliver looks a little sheepish, and Autumn awards him with a slight smile as everyone begins to take seats around the table. Oliver is sat between Aunt Marjorie and Noah while Aunt Marjorie is telling him all the names of the aunts, uncles and cousins. Oliver is feeling a bit overwhelmed and his brow furrows slightly because he knows he may not remember all their names. Marjorie reassures him and tucks into her waffles and bacon.

During the meal Oliver realizes that Marjorie might just be a kindred spirit. They were both loud, boisterous, and loved to dish the gossip. He found himself laughing uproariously at her tales of the family she was imparting. He now knew that Reece and Grandmother Autumn were brother and sister, and that when they were young they had fallen out. He never would have guessed it watching them talk to each other at the table. He found himself focusing in on them as Marjorie told him of the prom and how that nearly tore them apart forever. His heart broke for them both, but he was happy to see them as they are now.

"I am sorry to interrupt, Marjorie, but did she just kick him under the table?" Oliver asked. Marjorie left out a bellow and said that she probably had.

"You know," she said " their father owned the nursery we all worked at"

"The Knight Nursery?," he asked.

"Yup" she replied "Autumn came to work at our nursery first, and then Reece followed and managed the sister nursery."

"There were two nurseries?", he asked.

"Yup, and everything changed after they came to work for their father."
