(A/N- Hi! This is my first story on here, obviously. Thank you very much to crazyanimalover for requesting! Also, if you have Google Chrome I recommend getting an extension called 'InteractiveFics,' it's a free tool that replaces (Y/N) with your name and things like (h/c), (e/c), etc. with your features. I'm not sure if it works outside of Chrome, though, sorry about that. It also doesn't work on mobile at all, as far as I know. Anyways, I really hope you enjoy this! P.S, sorry if this is bad and stuff. -Astraea x)

Waking up stranded on a rainy, foreign island isn't exactly how you intended to spend your first day of summer vacation. With no recollection of how you ended up there, the only thing you really could do was sit and ponder. But that was pretty useless in this situation. So, you stood up from the damp sand and decided to observe your surroundings, as you would more than likely be there for quite some time.

You were surrounded by beautiful flowers of every colour, blue, purple, pink, and more. It was a lovely area, but you were still confused and rather frightened, as anyone would be. Though it was uncomfortable due to your wet clothing, you wandered a bit further ahead to try and get some knowledge as to where you were, and what was happening. As expected, many more flowers and puddles were all that was up ahead. What you didn't expect, though, was a large ship to arrive at the dock.

Even more surprising, four people got off, each looking more peculiar than before. A young brunette dressed in a white and blue sailor suit, a tiny girl with solid black eyes and a gray dorsal fin on her head who was dressed in a similar outfit, and another girl the same height with a bright yellow streak in her short snow-white hair, along with seagull-like wings. Lastly, a tall boy with pale blue hair, and eight long, pinkish tentacles, dressed in a long, white and blue robe. Needless to say, you were even more disturbed than before.

"C'mon, Wadda! Hurry up!" The seagull-looking girl cheered happily, jumping around on the sand. You quickly ran over to a tall bushel of flowers and hid. You had no idea who these people (if they could even be considered people, that is) were, and you didn't know what their intentions could be.

The sailor uniform-clad girl laughed, "alright, alright, calm down, Memoca."

"Ugh, is it always raining here?" Memoca, presumably, grumbled.

"I think so," Wadda replied, sighing. "The flowers are beautiful, though."

"Yeah, they are," the other girl added softly. The octopus boy remained silent, looking around the area.

"We should head to the cave to repair the stone, then," Wadda said, walking to north to a trail.

'Should I follow them?' You thought to yourself. 'They might not want to hurt me... They seem pretty nice...' You thought about it for a few minutes, watching the quartet walk off before deciding to follow not too close behind.

After seeing them enter the large, stone cave, you stood around the corner and waited for a minute. Little did you know, a certain blue-haired boy knew about your presence, and he didn't like it.

When you felt a tentacle wrap around your leg and pull you into the cave, it nearly scared you to death. Then, you realized you were caught. You stared up at the four people, three of four of them looking terrified.

"Who are you?" The tall boy demanded harshly. Though, he couldn't help but admire your features that were uncommon around here. (H/L), (H/C) hair, entrancing (E/C) eyes, and the scared expression on your face was adorable. Also, the fact that you seemed to be completely human with no animalistic features was strange. 'Snap out of it! They could be dangerous, and want to hurt Wadanohara.' He thought to himself, still giving you his cold glare.

"I-I'm (Y/N)..." You stammered nervously, sitting up and shuffling back as his grip released you.

"Where did you come from? How did you get here?" He asked in the same cold tone, pushing his previous thoughts in the back of his mind.

"Fukami, calm down, I'm sure they're harmless," the girl with the brown braids intervened, stepping towards you and bending down. "Are you okay, (Y/N)?" She asked kindly, examining you to see if you had any wounds.

"Yeah, I, uh, I think so," you murmured. "I just don't know how I got here..."

"Well, you're in Hydrangea Isle, that I can tell you," she said with a pretty smile. "I don't know how you got here either, though..."

"I went to sleep, then I woke up here," you explained with a frown.

"Well, I'm sure we can help you out. I'm Wadanohara, the sea witch. These are my familiars, Fukami, Memoca, and Dolphi."

Your (E/C) eyes grew wide. "Witch? Familiars?" You stammered, not comprehending at all.

"Oh, boy. We have a lot of things to talk about, and you'll catch a cold in those wet clothes! C'mon, we can talk on the boat after I repair the stone!" You were certainly in for a long day.

Over the next few weeks, you became well-known and pretty accepted in the large, wonderful Sea Kingdom. After Wadanohara explained everything and anything about it to you, you sort of got it. You were introduced to Tatsumiya, who welcomed you quickly and was one of the nicest people you'd ever come across, Princess Uomi, who was quite creepy, in your opinion, and everyone else in the Sea Kingdom. Albeit, you still had no idea as to how or why you were there in the first place. Nonetheless, it was nice to have a change in your life, as drastic and sudden as it all was.

Wadanohara and her familiars allowed you to stay with them in their cute little house, and on their boat when they travelled around the sea. Since you didn't have all that much strength as a human in this world, you usually cleaned and cooked for the most part, and helped in any other way you could. Still, it was fun to talk with everyone and get to know them. But, there was still one person who was very wary of you, the poor, harmless human...

"Hey, (Y/N)! Do you mind going out with Fukami to get some groceries?" Memoca called to you as she walked to the living room.

Fukami. The tall, silent humanoid octopus never got used to your presence. You weren't quite sure as to why he didn't trust you, though. You were nothing but kind to him. For the most part, due to this, you left him alone. But now, you had to go shopping with him. Just the two of you...

"Oh, uh, no, of course not!" You smiled at the hyper seagull girl and stood up from the comfy couch.

"Sweet! And hey, I know he's not super comfortable 'round you or whatever, so that's why Wadda wanted you two to go!" Memoca grinned, winking slyly at you. You just laughed nervously and nodded your head quickly.

"Well, I guess I can't really blame him. He's not used to humans." You shrugged your shoulders, sighing softly.

"Alright then! Oh, and Fukami's outside waiting!" She announced in her usual happy tone and plopped down onto the sofa. You waved goodbye to Memoca, then went off outside where Fukami was waiting. When you saw him, you nervously chewed your bottom lip. He was rather intimidating.

"Hi, Fukami." You greeted in a quiet, shy mumble. Fukami's usual blank expression never changed as he nodded.

"Hello," he said back in a monotone voice, "shall we go, then?"

"Yeah," you simply sighed, walking along with Fukami down the path.

You had to admit he was attractive. Despite his harsh glare, he was kind and protective, especially towards Wadanohara and his fellow familiars of hers. You found it quite sweet. Maybe, just maybe, you had a tiny little crush on Fukami, even though he probably felt the opposite towards you.

"The store is just up ahead." He muttered, not looking at you as he walked briskly. You just nodded and followed him along, trying to keep up with his long strides. As the two walked, you thought.

'Why doesn't he like me?' It was stuck in your mind now. What did you do to deserve it? Was it just because you were a human? The thoughts were whirling around in your head.

On the other hand, Fukami was angry. He was so angry at the thought of you. He hated that he was starting to like them more and more ever since he saw you, he hated what you were doing to him. He loved Wadanohara, and her only. He lived to assist and protect her. Right? But, for whatever reason, your cute face, and the cute things you do wouldn't leave his brain. He had to talk to someone about it, so, he chose Memoca. And she made a huge deal about it, of course.

After speaking to Memoca, she excitedly told him to take you to a pretty place, and 'confess' his 'undying, true love' to you. How melodramatic.

Fukami didn't know what to do since he never done anything like it before, so here he was, taking both Memoca's advice and you to the Sea of Stars, to try and do... Something about it. He just hoped that you didn't acknowledge that the grocery store was in the Coral Sea.

"Uh, Fukami? Are you sure the grocery store is this far ahead?" You asked, looking around at your surroundings. Fukami didn't respond to your question and continued to approach the Sea of Stars quickly.

Considering you were a new citizen to the Sea Kingdom, you luckily didn't know where many things were. Soon enough, you two arrived at the pretty star-filled portion of the sea.

"(Y/N)," Fukami began. "I need to tell you something."

"W-what is it, Fukami?" You asked, growing slightly nervous at his words. Despite him being serious and well-spoken all the time, it still made you a tad fearful.

Sighing heavily, his steel gray eyes bored into your (E/C) ones, "you make me angry." You furrowed your eyebrows.

"What? Angry? What do you mean by-" you were cut off by Fukami speaking again.

"You make me so angry. I don't understand." He said again, still keeping his tone calm and quiet.

"I-I'm sorry about that, but can you elaborate?" You requested, playing with your fingers. Fukami frowned and looked at you.

"I'm angry, at you, (Y/N)," he breathed heavily. "Very angry."

You were so confused now. Why wouldn't he tell you? "Look, I'm sorry, but if you want me to stop doing something, you gotta tell me about it."

"I'm angry," he began slowly. "Because I love you."

"What?" You stammered, taken aback by the sudden statement. Loved you? No way. You were sure Fukami disliked you quite a lot.

"It makes me angry, (Y/N). Why do I love you? You're a human, I love Wadanohara, why? You're so beautiful and gentle, and I just don't get why I feel this way..." He kept the same low, quiet tone as he confessed, his frown deepening.

"F-Fukami, I-I," you stuttered, your cheeks turning a faint shade of pink at his words. You couldn't believe what you were hearing.

Fukami just looked down at the ground. "I'm sorry. I... I shouldn't have said anything." He whispered. He felt ashamed now. He'd never done something like this before.

You just stood, dumbfounded at what Fukami had just told you. Then, you thought. Was the only reason Fukami didn't seem to like you, was that he loved you? You were quite flattered, considering Wadanohara was the only other person he'd felt that way about. Also, he was quite cute. And handsome...

Slowly and carefully, you approached the flustered humanoid octopus and brought your arms around him in a tight embrace, "don't be sorry." You mumbled.

Fukami was a bit shocked at your actions but wrapped both his arms and tentacles around you and held you close. It felt nice.

"Hey," you said softly, pulling away from your hug. "Sorry for making you angry..." You whispered.

Fukami just smiled faintly. "No worries. I should not have had an outburst like that. And I also shouldn't have been so cold to you in the first place."

You giggled happily and shook your head, "it's not your fault." You insisted, leaning up and standing on your toes to press a soft kiss to his cheek, causing his pale face to turn a little red. You sighed softly. "You're too cute."

"Thank you, I think?" He responded, not used to those type of compliments. You just laughed.

"You're very welcome." You replied to him.

"But I do have a question..."

"Yeah?" You encouraged, smiling at him warmly and still having your arms around him.

"Do you really like me like that?"

You rolled your eyes playfully, leaning in again, only this time giving him a gentle kiss on the lips. "That good enough of an answer for you?" Needless to say, it was.
