AND I DO NOT OWN WINGS OF FIRE

(Y/n) pov

"Mom!" Moon's voice pulled your eyes from the canopy and to the clearing where a whole village of NightWings, although you did not entirely hate them the spines on your back still stood up in defense. Moon was hugging a dragon who looked almost identical to her minus the teardrop scales, a burning sensation traveled through your chest, 'What is that? Why am I feeling that?' You thought to yourself, had it been jealousy? But what were you jealous off, you had a mother sure she was not the best but she wasn't the worst either.

Once again you were pulled from your thoughts when you saw Moon's mother whisper something in her ear, 'They're probably judging you,' the voice said, you hadn't heard it in a while, you pushed your ears back and let out a low growl, 'Shut up you stupid voice you know nothing,' you said to it in your mind, thank the moons you had the sky fire so no dragon could hear your thoughts.

To stick in your thoughts you never even realized when a dark shadow loomed over you until it pushed you to the ground, your attacker had been much larger than you but they had to be inexperienced because they left your snout free, if they had know what they were doing they would have likely hold it down with their talons. A threatening hiss came from your mouth as you snapped you head back, your jaw wide open ready to freeze whoever dared to attack you. But when you looked back you saw a RainWing who's scales were bright red but had hints of green, 'He's afraid,' you thought, remembering all the times Kinkajou has turned the same shade of green while she was afraid.

"Deathbringer, could you get off of Winter please," Moon asked the dragon taking a couple of steps away from her mom. "You to Bromeliad," Kinkajou said to the dragon who quickly clambered off you, you stood up and shook your now dusty scales off while Winter was still pinned down by Deathbringer. Winter grew angrier by the second and began to hiss wildly at the NightWing, "Deathbringer get off of Prince Winter!" A voice shouted from the trees, the voice belonging to Queen Glory, she swept down from the trees landing in front of Deathbringer and Winter.

"But your majesty, you are in danger I'm protecting you," Deathbringer told the queen.

"By sitting on him," she replied raising her eyebrow at him.

"Yes, besides he's an IceWing," Deathbringer replied still not moving from his spot on top of Winter.

"He isn't the IceWing we're looking for, besides I can defend myself," Queen Glory said with a grim tone.

"Well how about that one," Deathbringer said squinting his eyes at you, "No Deathbringer. They are not the IceWing we are looking for," Glory said more firmly now glaring at Deathbringer who moved off of Winter.

"Thank you your majesty," Winter said lowering into a bow and glaring at Deathbringer.

"Why don't we go up to my royal pavilion where we can speak more privately?" Glory said to the 5 of you, Winter and the rest of the dragons nodded before you all took off.

You had completely forgotten about all the pain in your shoulders until you were in the air, a hiss fell from your mouth as you struggled to stay in the air leaning a bit to the side but still you followed the dragons to the large pavilion that was located between both of the villages. The wooden floor provided you with a soft landing, but you were still struggling to keep up with the rest of the dragons, the pain seemed to be all over your scales. The other dragons were already in the room when you were just a couple of steps away from the door way, "Where is (Y/n)?" The queen spoke her voice sounded more distant and muffled almost as if you had been underwater, "I'm right here your majesty."

You could have sworn you were about to collapse if you walked just a bit more, your scales felt hot and uncomfortable and the humidity of the rainforest didn't make you feel any better. "(Y/n) are you alright?" You heard Kinkajou's voice ask you but you felt to drowsy to answer her, your head drooped low and your wings rested against the floor, but all it took was another surge of pain to cause your vision to turn black, the last thing you heard and felt were muffled voices and the cool wooden floor.

—————————————————————————

There was a faint buzzing sound coming from what seemed to be outside along with dragon voices. Your scales felt damp and your limbs felt as if they had been nailed to the floor, you could feel something tight wrapped around your shoulders, leg, and head, there was also a numbed feeling all over your body similar to the one from the medicine Sunny gave you.

"Uhhhhggfm," you groaned out, trying to move your legs, who felt like they weighted a million pounds.

"Heyyyy, you're awake that's great, how are you feeling?" A voice said from what seemed to be in front of you, it was high pitched but had a flat tone to it. You tried lifting your head once again but it still stayed flat in the ground, despite not being able to move your limbs you had managed it open your eyes. The room you were in was large enough to fit at least 20 dragons, the walls were made of bamboo and forest leaves were laid on the floor as beds, similar to the one you were laying on. You spotted 2 dragons laying on some hammocks to the corner of the room near the entrance, the bigger dragon was a sky blue color similar to an IceWing, and the other dragon who had dark blue with dapples of a gold yellow.

'Did these dragons do something to me?' I asked in my mind until I recalled the agonizing pain I had been in before waking up, 'Nevermind this is definitely a medics hut,' I corrected my mind. I tired moving my claws once again and thankfully I had began to regain feeling in them and they wiggled around, I moved my arms and pushed myself up even though my wings and tail still felt heavy. But once i lifted off the ground I felt unstable and my body was ready to collapse, "Woah! Carful there, we gave you a strong tranquilizer for your pain so it's probably best you don't try to move much soon," the light blue RainWing said to me, he had ran over to catch me, he rested me against a wall so I could sit without falling over.

"Mm- where ar-hm my friends," I mumbled out hoping these dragons would understand my slurred words, "Oh they left with Queen Glory to investigate something but now there in the next hut over I think," the gold and blue dragon spoke almost in a bored tone.

"C-can I go see the-m," I said huffing angrily at my speech,

"Uhhhh- no," the sky blue RainWing said quickly, "Your far to injured to even be sitting up right now and by moving to much you'll just re-open all of our wounds," he said before taking a deep breath. I narrowed my (e/c) eyes at him for this, what was he going to say next that he had to stop and take a deep breath for?

"Queen Glory said we should hold you for at least 2 days- just to be sure your burns are healing correctly," he finished with a small sigh.

I stared blankly before yelling,

"WHAT?"
