"Are you sick?" Marinette asked, walking toward him and placing her hand under his bangs to feel his forehead.

"No... we have a lot to talk about milady. Please, come with me." He asked, extending his hand for her to take.

"Talk about? What do we need to talk about?" She asked.

"Just take my hand. I'll show you." He smiled.

Marinette sighed and took his hand as he picked her up in his arms. As he jumped from building to building the realization hit her.

"Wait... Chat... wha-what did you call me?" She asked, slowly turning her head up to look at him.

He looked down at her, his eyes sparkling in the glistening moonlight.

"Hello.. Milady." He smiled.

Marinette's face turned bright red as she struggled to get out of his arms.

"Princess, stop, you're going to make me drop-Ahh!"

Marinette felt herself falling. She accidentally kicked herself out of his grasp from being too surprised and found herself falling. Chat noir was about to use his staff to catch her but saw a flash of light and saw her zip her way up. Ladybug zipped her way over to their usual meeting spot.

Chat noir walked over and sat down on the ledge, seeing her already sitting down waiting for him. As he sat down he rested his head on her shoulder, exhausted. She wanted to argue about personal space but knew something happened.

"Chat... are you going to tell me what happened? Also how do you know who I am... It's against the rules..." Ladybug said, leaning her head against his.

"Always rushing to business. Can't we just stay like this for a few more minutes?" Chat asked, looking up at her.

"I'm going to leave." She rolled her eyes.

"Ok, ok." He gave in.

Ladybug smiled and relaxed, closing her eyes as she waited for her partner to explain.

"I came from the future. A... not so good future." He explained.

Instead of letting him explain it, he felt Ladybug shoot up from her spot. The sudden movement knocked him off of her shoulder, causing him to look at her.

"What?! What happened exactly?!" Ladybug cried out.

"Well... I... don't want to say too much. Things... didn't go as planned. Let's just say... I know who Hawkmoth is and I know who you are. Let's just leave it at that." Chat sighed.

"Hawkmoth? W-what about Mayura?" Ladybug asked.

"I know who she is as well." Chat explained.

"Can I ask you about someone? Since I know your civilian self now." Chat asked.

"Chat..." Ladybug said, turning away.

"Nevermind... Forget I asked."

"One question." She said, giving in.

"How do you feel about Adrien Agreste?" Chat asked.

"A-Adrien? U-Uh... well... He's a really good friend!" She said with a blush.

"Like Luka?" Chat asked.

"I said one question." Ladybug said, crossing her arms.

"I wanted you to answer honestly to my question." Chat said, causing Ladybug to turn to him.

"Why... are you bringing Adrien into the conversation? Why does he matter right now?" Ladybug asked.

Chat frowned and thought for a second.

"If we defeat Hawkmoth... You probably won't ever see him again." Chat frowned.

"Wh-what?!" Ladybug's eyes widened.

"I'm sorry. It's the truth."

Chat stood up seeing Ladybug's eyes follow him, unable to comprehend what he just said.

He knew she always liked Adrien, regardless if she wanted to admit it right now or not. She admitted it to him before. He knows how she truly feels. That was good enough for him. Chat took out his staff and was about to leave when he felt Ladybug grab his arm.

"How do you know?" She said,

"What do you mean? It's obvious." Chat turned away.

"It can't be that obvious... or I would have thought of it." Ladybug glared.

"His father is Hawkmoth. Gabriel Agreste... is Hawkmoth, ok? Nathalie is Mayura. Who do you think is going to be his family? Who is going to be there for him? His mother? He has no one." Chat turned back around, clenching his fists, narrowing his eyes at Ladybug.

Ladybug frowned and turned away from Chat. Chat blinked and realized what he had said and took a step back.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean..." He said.

"I should go. We will take him down tomorrow night." Chat said, disappearing after a few seconds.

Ladybug zipped back home and collapsed onto her bed in tears.

"Chat noir just came from the future Marinette. I'm sure he is just dealing with a lot of stress." Tikki tried to reassure her.

"I know Tikki. I remember Chat blanc... We're partners. We're friends... At one point.. I thought we were going to... be more... Why would he yell at me? Why wouldn't he just talk to me instead?" Marinette cried into her pillow.

Tikki frowned and tried to comfort her friend the best she could. Hours went by and after a while Marinette finally got the energy to turn her lights out to go to sleep. As she turned the lights out, she almost screamed when she saw a big dark shadow outside reflecting inside on her window. She followed it to her window and saw Chat noir asleep on the roof of a nearby building.

Does he not have a home to go to? Does he just sleep on the roof of places?

"Chat!" Marinette yelled.

"Chat noir!" She yelled again.

Nothing.

Marinette sighed and transformed.

"Chat..." Ladybug said.

"Hmm..." Chat said, turning on his side.

"Chat, wake up. Come sleep over at my place." Ladybug sighed.

She looked down at Chat and noticed how tired he was. There was no waking him up. Ladybug picked him up around her shoulder and jumped toward her home. She gently made her way into her home and tried to be as quiet as possible. She technically wasn't dating Chat noir yet. She and Chat noir knew they had feelings for each other... and he was supposed to come ask her a big question that night supposedly. She assumed it was to ask her to be his girlfriend... not... to say he was from the future.

Ugh... a let down... but she would be there for her partner. They would focus on the bigger matters and then focus on their relationship later. That's what being superheroes was all about.

She laid him down on her bed and pulled the blankets over him and detransformed, pulling some of the blankets over her as well. As she got comfortable and finally shut her eyes, she felt something warm hold her tight. She looked down and saw Chat noir's arm holding her around the waist. She turned her head and saw him looking at her. Her face turned a bright pink blush and before she could scream, her hands shot to her mouth.

"Just like the old days huh princess." Chat smiled.

Marinette took a slight breath in to collect her thoughts and let it out. She turned her attention back to him.

"What exactly were we?" Marinette asked.

"We were dating." He replied.

"What about future me? The future you came from." Marinette asked.
