CelebSpace: Fans question whether the youngest Martinez' glow up is natural or whether the thirteen year old has undergone some cosmetic treatments. People are pointing out how Valerie quickly lost her baby face and blossomed into somebody who resembles a sixteen year old.

Now that we're allowing Valerie to start her own career as an actress, we have been receiving a lot of scripts in the mail for her. I want to include my daughter in the decision process so while Nero's movie is waiting to wrap up the casting process and getting distributors, I sat down with Val to go over the scripts.

A Bratz revival is currently in the making and they are looking to cast Valerie as Sasha which is pretty huge but I sat down with the director to make sure that it's age appropriate. My youngest daughter has started wearing light makeup and I bought her some clip in extensions which we taught her how to safely install but now she is making headlines.

Her appearance has changed since our reality series was first teased so everybody now assumes that I have let my daughter go under the knife when she is really just going through puberty. People always seem to forget the way our bodies change when we are growing up so whenever they see somebody in public eye look slightly different, they assume that they have gone under the knife.

"Before we begin answering these, I want to talk to you about the recent headlines." I tell my daughter as I move the scripts to the side. "What are your thoughts?"

"On the things people are saying about me?" She asks and I nod my head. "It's interesting to see it happen to me since we always read about it with other people but it's not affecting me as much as I thought it would."

I don't react to her words because I don't want her to bottle anything up.

"Some of the things that they're writing is hurtful but you and dad have always told us to block people out. You were always honest about your experience with fame and let us read some of the comments so I almost anticipated it." I look at my strong daughter in awe over how intellectual she sounds. "It's going to take some getting used to but I know who I am and I know my truth."

"That you do." I wink at her and she smiles back in response. "If you ever feel like it's getting too much then you let us know no matter how busy or far away we are. The one thing your father and I want you guys to know that is just a job, it's a just a job but we are family and we will always value that first."

Once we have made our final decisions on the scripts that she will be going ahead with, I set all of that to the side so we can have some girl time together. Nero and I have been guiding our twins with their new careers with me directing Vinnie's movie and Nero helping Gen with her album.

I don't want Valerie feeling as if she does not have our attention because I know what's it like to have your sibling get all the attention by your parents. It's not something that is done intentionally but it can lead you to act out or feel unwanted especially in your early teen years.

My parents may have supported me through my teenage pregnancy but I did feel like a disappointment because I didn't follow the natural order of life. The youth that I was supposed to have was completely different because I had twins to care for so Maryse would be celebrated every time she did something.

"How do you deal with the constant comments coming from people that you don't know?"

"I don't." I give her a small smile as I start the car up. "People can say super hurtful things online but at the end of the day, they are block away. If you don't know these people personally then why let them affect my day when I have people here who know me and love me the same."

"Do you think you and dad would ever have more kids?" Valerie's question takes me by complete surprise. "You're not like my friends whose parents are older."

"Your father and I have spoken about having more children but I think that we are past that stage now. There would be too much of an age gap plus we have spent the last eighteen years raising you guys so I would like to start settling down with part of my life." I answer honestly since she's an intelligent girl. "Three was perfect for us and I was still young when I had you. Now let's go get some treats from the bakery, get our hair done and catch a movie."

Valerie smiles at me, "Let's do it."

"That's my baby." I hold out my hand and she places hers over mine before giving it a small squeeze. "You will always be my baby and I want you to know that you can talk to me about anything."

"I know." She softly responds. "It's so weird seeing everyone live their own lives."

"Yeah." I give her hand a squeeze. "It's going to be weird especially when the twins start flying out for work or just to live their lives but that is all about this life of ours. One day you're going to start doing the same then next thing you know, you're living in your own space."

"Are we going to do another season of the reality show?"

I smile widely as my nieces, Madison and Monroe cuddle up to me once I have gotten seated on the oversized bean bag that we have laid out in our yard. The weather was really nice out so Nero and Vinnie decided to have a BBQ which was everything that we needed to conclude this lovely day.

We obviously invited my family over for the BBQ but my stepfather and brother in law could not make it due to work obligations. I always live for these chill moments with the family so I made sure to document parts of it especially when the kids started jumping in the pool because these are the real moments that we will look back on.

Now the adults are sipping on wine as we watch the kids run around and enjoy eachother's company. One thing that I'm grateful for is how close my children are to Maryse' considering that there is a fairly large age gap between them, they embrace their cousins with open arms which makes me happy.

Maryse smiles as she snaps a picture of me cuddling my nieces while trying to hold onto my glass of wine.

"I can't get over you wearing dressing like a soviet underdressed spy when it's so hot out." My mom jokes as I adjust my sunglasses and I stick my tongue out at her. "Are you not overheating with that hat on?"

"What if I'm having a bad hair day?"

"You never have bad hair days." Valerie sweetly says and I hold up my glass to her before downing the rest of the contents. "Plus you got your hair done today."

"But baby..." I give her a look. "You're wearing a fur hat too and you got your hair done as well."

Genevieve lets out a loud laugh, "Well played."

"I'm just trying to be like my momma." Val winks at me and I blow her a kiss in return.

"And momma says that you're a slayer." I snap my fingers before moving the kids out of the way as I go to stand up. "Where are the men at?"

"They're probably working on that car." Maryse responds as she takes over the beanbag that I was previously sitting on and her children swarm to her. "Ma filles."

"We're over here." Nero responds as he makes his way over to us carrying a speaker while our son is holding a wooden box filled with microphones. My nieces run over to him once he has set the box down and he hands them the toy microphones which makes them light up in happiness.

"Now that our Gen is really getting into music, I thought that she wouldn't mind dueting with her old man." Nero wrinkles his nose at Gen who pulls a face. "If you want, of course."

"I would love to sing with you." She softly says while slipping her phone into her back pocket and everyone gets themselves comfortable on a bean bag as the duo get themselves prepped. I would normally like to be apart of this moment but I am learning to let my children and partner have their moments without my interference.

When you're down and troubled
And you need some lovin' care

I pout as I remember how much Nero used to sing this to our kids when they were toddlers so they never felt alone.

And nothin', nothin' is goin' right
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night

Nero stares at our daughter with loving eyes and she nods her head while fighting back tears like the rest of us are.

You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come runnin'
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call

And I'll be there
You've got a friend

Their harmonies sound like musical heaven so we will definitely be taking advantage of that and making a record happen.

You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come runnin', runnin', yeah, yeah
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes, I will
You've got a friend
You've got a friend

Vinnie wraps his arm around my shoulders which makes me smile warmly at him before resting my head in his shoulders.

"That's my girl." My mom claps her hands together as Genevieve hits a surprise high note that leaves me taken back.

Ain't it good to know you've got a friend
Ain't it good to know, ain't it good to know
Ain't it good to know
You've got a friend
Oh, yeah, now, you've got a friend
Yeah baby, you've got a friend
Oh, yeah, you've got a friend

Gen does a little nervous bow before she is pulled into her father's arms and everyone lets out a cheer as he lifts her off the ground.

"Bravo." Maryse sticks her fingers into her mouth to cheers which makes her daughters copy her. My eyes quickly fall on my youngest daughter to see her reaction towards this because I know that she is going through her own identity issues and I don't want her feeling less than especially with all the things being said online about her.

I stand up to embrace Gen who practically throws her arms around me.

"You're perfect." I cup her face with both hands once we have ended our embrace and she rests her hands on my waist. "You are so much better than we could ever dream of being and I am so proud of you."

Her smile falters, "Thank you."

"Whether you want us to be apart of your musical journey or not, we will always be there supporting you." I rub my nose against hers. "Always."
