"What? I don't even know what to fucking do!" Theo yelled

I sighed and rubbed my temple, "Dude, just be yourself. Plus you're gonna dance with her tomorrow anyways!"

Realisation hits me like a truck— tomorrow is the Yule ball. I need to ask Y/N soon.

Fuck.

"Theo please. I really need to do this," I plead. He hesitates and then sighs, nodding.

"Yes! You're the best dude!" I gave him a bro (?) hug.

"I know, I know," he pulls out, "But where am I going to take her?"

I place my hands on his shoulders, "Just go with the flow and take her to one of your favourite place, if she doesn't like it, then she's missing out," I lean a little close, "You got this mate."

I needed to apologise to Y/N privately and I had to get her alone for this which means Nyx had to leav her side.

POV SWITCH

Me and Onyx were sitting in the library with Hermione. She was helping us study for our charms homework.

"Thanks again Hermione," I say gratefully.

She shakes her head, "No problem, the boys always asks me the same thing it's really no biggie."

We continued to study until Theo came up to us.

"Hey, can I steal Onyx for a second?" He sheepishly rubed his head and we all look towards Nyx who had pink cheeks.

"Um, yeah," I say giving her a side look.

She stood up and flipped me behind her back as she went over to him with her study books, leaving me with Hermione.

I was packing my books as I have just finished studying when I felt someone's presence lurking between the bookshelves.

I saw the shadow become bigger, walking towards me—it was Lorenzo. I packed faster avoiding him.

I was about to take my leave when he stood in my way.

"Y/N, can I talk to you?"

I sighed and clench my jaw, "Look, I really don't want to do anything that involves you Lorenzo and I have something better to do, so goodbye."

He stood in front of me. "Please, Y/N, I—"

"Save it, Enzo. I don't care." I head my way over to the exit leaving Enzo standing there by himself while I head out the door into the common room.

POV SWITCH

Night was beginning to fall and I had tried endlessly for Y/N to even look my way.

It was impossible. There was no way I could ask her to the Yule Ball now.

Draco. Blaise, Mattheo and I were in our dorms talking about tomorrow. I had asked Luna Lovegood as my Yule date and she replied with a yes.

It felt weird asking another girl to go as my date when I've always seen that 'girl' as Y/N but I knew she hated me and I don't blame her for it.

The door burst open revealing Theo. He seemed happy and tired at the same time, his uniform well outfit? A little messy.

I give him a smirk and raise a brow.

"Fuck off mate," he flips. I gave out a light chuckle and shook my head.

"Enzo, mother sent us this package this evening." Draco comes up to me and hands me a small boxed package wrapped with a red ribbon.

I gently unwrap the ribbon and open the gift—it was a nice soft black tux with a neck tie.

I smiled as I saw a card sitting on top.

For my dear nephew,

Enjoy this little gift from your aunt and uncle and have fun at the ball

Even though I hated Lucius, I loved Aunt Narcissa. I was always pissed at the thought of Aunt Narcissa being forced to marry a male barbie to keep her bloodline in place. It was so sick.

I neatly place the card back in the envelope and closed the box.

The present warmed my heart and made me have something to look forward to at the Yule ball.
