"What?"
"Your answer?"
"Yeah, okay, sure. That's fine."
"Oh? The cat has taken notice of the smoked fish."
The cat was running to the right one. As soon as it got near it the cat jumped to the left and grabbed the left one first then the right one. It the soon ran away with both fish.
"You saw it. It took the left, then the right, and then ran. I win."
"Hey, you lost, Polnareff. What are you going to do now? I'm getting sick of asking around that building.," Mr. Joestar scolded.
"Now, then. As per our agreement, let's have you pay up."
"Huh? Pay? Pay what?"
"Your soul."
Polnareff gasped.
"That is indeed what you just wagered. Your soul! I'm a Stand user that steals souls! Gambling makes it easier for the human soul to leave its vessel. It's my Stand's power to steal it at that moment!"
Suddenly Polnareff's soul was pulled out of his body.
"What?! What's going on?!" Mr. Joestar shouted.
"Polnareff!" Jotaro growled then turned to the Stand user.
"Hold it! Don't kill me. It's too late! If I die, Polnareff's soul, which is in my Stand's grasp, will also die."
Polnareff started to fall backwards. Avdol caught his unconscious body before falling down.
"H- he has no pulse. He's dead! Polnareff is dead!"
The Stand started to manifest Polnareff's soul, then turned it into a token.
"This is Polnareff's soul. This means I've already gotten rid of one of the people trying to get in Lord DIO's way. Even if he was just a fool," the man held the coin up.
"It's a little overdue, but allow me to introduce myself. My name is D'Arby. D-A-R-B-Y. There's an apostrophe after the D."
The same cat that caught the fish jumped onto D'Arby's arm.
"By the way, this is my cat."
"Y- you bastard!" Avdol clenched D'Arby by his collar.
"Don't screw with us! A bet? It wad just a scam!"
"A scam? Listen. If you've been scammed, the one who failed to see through it is the loser. I believe gambling is just like relationships. It's all about fooling the other. The one who cries loses."
Jotaro stomped over to D'Arby. He was most definitely mad about the relationship talking.
"Jotaro! Hold it!" you grabbed his arm before he could do anything rash.
"Are you going to kill me with your bare hands? Very well. Do it. If you want this soul to die, as well."
"Listen here. You will not walk away from this in one piece."
"Do you remember what you were doing the night of September 22nd, 1984 at 11:15 PM?"
"What are you talking about?"
"I remember," D'Arby got out of Avdol grip and cleaned his clothes.
"Around that time in California, I was gambling with an American man named Stephen Moor and he said the same thing you just did," D'Arby said as he got a book out. He flipped the page, there were a lot of tokens made out of people's soul.
"This is him," he pointed a token. Under it wrote 'Stephen Moor'.
"The one below is Moor's father and his wife right next to him. If you want to get Polnareff's soul back, you have no choice but to continue gambling with me. What will you do? Of you're scared, you can go home... and leave Polnareff behind."
"Heh, okay. Let's do a fucking gamble. Let's see how many body parts I can fucking cut off of you in just ten seconds," you hissed.
"(Y/n), don't," Jotaro held you.
"Don't do anything rash (Y/n), we don't need to lose more allies."
"Gramps, aren't you more worried about losing Polnareff? (She/He/They) can literally slaughter one person in a split second," Jotaro clenched your arm tighter.
"Ignore (her/him/them)., (she/he/they) didn't mean that," Mr. Joestar sighed.
"Eleven," you said.
"Hah?"
"Eleven parts. I can cut eleven parts from you in ten seconds. I'll give you two choices. Is it the dick or the eye?" you smirked.
"(Y/n), don't. You're gonna kill them."
"Don't worry. Losing a dick won't kill someone. But the eye might. But don't worry, I won't cut through the vital vessels if I can. So it'll be a very low chance he'll die. So choose. How many parts do you think I can cut off of you? And don't take this as a silly joke. It's pretty easy to cut off human bodies."
"(Y/n), use that when we're all down. I don't want to lose you second," Jotaro held you tighter than ever.
"Jeez. Fine, alright. I'll wait," you grumbled.
"W-well... have a drink and think about it long and hard. How about some chocolate?"

Mr. Joestar walked up to the table. He then placed a cup then filled it with a drink.
"M- Mr. Joestar what are you trying to do?" Avdol sweat dropped.
"Have you heard of surface tension, Barbie?"
"It's D'Arby. My name is D'Arby. It's the force that's keeping that drink from breaking the surface, correct? What do you plan to do?"
"The rules are simple. We'll take turns putting coins in this glass. The one who makes it overflow loses."
"Hey, Gramps have you gone insane like (Y/n)?" Jotaro said. You hissed at him for saying that.
"Y- you can't mean... Mr. Joestar!"
"I wager my soul on it!"
"Good."
"What?!"
"Impossible! P- please don't! He's a cheater!"
"I won't let him cheat! I'm the one who chose the method of this wager! Jotaro, make sure he doesn't cheat."
"Okay! That's fine. I shall take this bet. But first... do you kind if I inspect the glass and coins?"
"Of course., you have that right. You also have the right to make sure I'm not cheating. First, will you guarantee that if you lose, you will return Polnareff's soul, no matter what."
"I'm a gambler. I do have my pride. If you lose, I always pay up. I won't lose, though."
"Very well. You can go first. Put in a coin."
"Mr. Joestar!"
"Just leave this to me."
"May I put more than one coin at a time?"
"If you can do it all at once," Mr. Joestar took his glove off.
"Well then.." D'Arby tried to put five coins in the glass.
"Hey, I think I saw a little wave there."
"Quiet. Don't touch the table."
As D'Arby letted go of the coins, it went in without spilling even a drop of the drink.
"It'a your turn."
"Your guts are quite impressive, to put in five at once. I'll go with one. That was too close."
Mr. Joestar successfully putted the coin in the drink.
"This is bad for my heart. I thought it was going to spill... now, it's your turn, Obie."
D'Arby grabbed Mr. Joestar's wrist.
"It's D'Arby! Don't mistake my name again! My name is D'Arby! It's not Obie or Barbie!"
"My apologies."
"Let's continue your wager. It's your turn to put in a coin, D'Arby."
"There's a shadow, so this angle is difficult. I'll put it in from the side of the table."
"You may put it in from wherever you like."
"You're thinking that this glass's surface tension is at it's limit. That it's impossible, right? But that's not true.." D'Arby putted the coin in perfectly.
"I- Impossible! It can't be! There's no way it wouldn't overflow!" Mr. Joestar suddenly stood up from the seat.
"What do you mean, there's no way it wouldn't overflow? As you can see, it went in."
"He made no suspicious moves that could've been cheating. I was watching with Star Platinum. He put the coin in fairly. There's no doubt about it."
"Go ahead, Mr. Joestar. Hurry it up. Or are you trying to wait until it evaporates?"
Mr. Joestar sat down then grabbed a coin. As he putted the coin in, the Stand took out Mr. Joestar's soul.
"Mr. Joestar!" Avdol shouted.
"Joestar acknowledged his mind that he'd already lost the bet! That's why his soul emerged! I, D'Arby, have win this bet!"
"Mr. Joestar!"
"Gramps!"
The Stand made Mr. Joestar into a token, just like Polnareff.
"That's two. Now then. Let us continue gambling. As long as you three don't abandon these two away with your tails between your legs, that is."
"You bastard!" Avdol grabbed D'Arby by his collar again. This time, he slammed D'Arby to the floor.
"You don't understand, do you? If you kill me, these two souls will die, as well."
"Damn it!"
"Avdol, stop!" Jotaro shouted.
"Hey! If you're going to make trouble, I'll have to ask you to leave!"
"Shut it. Stay out of this," Jotaro growled.
"Yes, sir!"
Jotaro walked over to the table and grabbed the glass. He then poured the liquid out.
"You realized it too late, Jotaro."
"Is there something wrong with the glass?" Avdol looked behind to Jotaro.
"This is how one more coins went in. There was a tiny but of chocolate on the bottom of the glass's outside. Before he started the game, he asked to inspect the glass and coins, and that's when he stuck it on."
"I believe you were aware of that if it's not discovered in time, you can't call it cheating," D'Arby said as he pushed Avdol away.
"Wh- what do you mean? How is a bit of chocolate the reason the coin fit?"
"It's melted now, but until a moment ago, it was solid at the bottom of the glass. He used just enough so we wouldn't notice but the glass was propped up so it would tilt. Once it melted, the surface became level. Even though the surface tension was at it's limit, he made it so at least one more coin would fit."
"Wh- what?! B- but... could chocolate actually melt with such convenient timing?"
"He melted it using the sun's heat. I didn't notice. He went to the right side of the table so the sun's rays would directly hit the glass and melt the chocolate."
"What a cheater," you hissed at D'Arby.
"As I said, the one who doesn't notices it is the loser."
"You fucking brat!" you shouted. Jotaro held your arm before you could possibly break D'Arby's skull.

"Fine. D'Arby, get your trump card ready. We'll finish this with poker."
"How fun. Poker is one of the games I'm best at!"
"Poker? This man just beat Mr. Joestar! I- it's too dangerous!" Avdol said.
"I know. He's not violent, but he's still more dangerous than any other Stand user we've met so far. But... I can't afford not to do this," Jotaro was serious.
"Jotaro?! The hell? You're telling me to not do a bet but you are? This is totally unfair."
"(Y/n), you are literally trying to kill him. Don't get me wrong," Jotaro ruffled your hair as he sat down.
"Hey, I said I won't do that much damage to him," you hissed.
"Before we get started, there's something I want to try," Jotaro turned to face D'Arby.
"Shuffle those cards," Jotaro pointed the deck of cards in front of D'Arby. D'Arby took the deck and shuffled it quickly.
"They're shuffled. What now?" he said as he placed the cards back on the table.
"It doesn't matter which one, but pick a card from anywhere near the deck's top and flip it. Only show yourself the card," Jotaro demanded.
"Okay, I've looked," D'Arby said after checking a card in the middle.
"I'll tell you which card it is: the six of hearts. I'll name the cards kn order from the top. Five of spades, queen of diamonds, jack of spades, ace of hearts, seven of diamonds, six of clubs, king of clubs, two of diamonds."
D'Arby carefully spread the cards, it was the same as Jotaro said.
"How did you..?" Avdol sweat dropped.
"I can name all of the cards, in order, from top to bottom. My Star Platinum was able to see the order of cards as they were being shuffled."
"That's very interesting. But that just means I have to make sure you don't see me shuffling the cards."
"Don't you get it? This means you won't be able to cheat. I just wanted to let you know that."
"Good."

D'Arby took out an unbroken security seal, which meant it was new and no one has touched it. He handed it over to Jotaro. Jotaro opened it and spread the cards on the table.
"There's one joker. I don't see anything unusual. They're ordinary playing cards."
Jotaro collected the cards again and made it into a deck. He placed the deck on the table.
"Okay! Open the game!"
D'Arby reached for the cards. He got the middle one and showed it.
"Ten of hearts."
Jotaro did the same.
"Seven of clubs."
"Looks like I'm the dealer," D'Arby said. He reached for the deck and started shuffling it.
"Cut, if you please," D'Arby placed the shuffled cards on the table. Jotaro did a cut then placed the lower ones on the top.
"And now, I shall deal. To Jotaro, to me, to Jotaro, to me..."
Jotaro suddenly summoned Star platinum and broke D'Arby's finger.
"Jotaro, his finger! Star Platinum just broke D'Arby's finger out of the blue!" Avdol shouted.
"I told you. I won't let you get away with cheating."
"What? Cheating? When? He was just dealing the cards... he didn't make any suspicious moves."
"No. Take a good look at the cards in his left hand."
"The second card is sticking out..."
"That's the card he just tried to give me. He made it look like he was dealing in order from the top, but he was trying to give me the second card from the top. That means..." Jotaro used Star Platinum to take the card on the top.
"The card on top would've gone to him. He would've had three tens with that card. No, I'm being forgiving. I could've just cut off your finger or let that bloodthirsty monster cut your guts up. Good grief. I can't trust you to shuffle the cards. Let's have someone who's not playing deal. Let's ask that boy on top of that hill," Jotaro said as Star placed the card back on the table. You bit your tongue to not say anything about that 'bloodthirsty monster' part.
"Good."
"Avdol, could you bring him here?"
"All right," Avdol walked over to the boy.
"Impressive... to cheat, one must take advantage of psychological blind spots. You need more than sharp eyes to see through cheating. It seems I underestimated you, since you saw through my second dealing. I shall accept what happened to my finger as punishment for that. And now, I shall dedicate all I have to playing this game with you, Jotaro," D'Arby wrapped a handkerchief around his hand and broken finger.
"This is my biggest game since May 17th, 1986. At that time, I won eight properties from Japan named Shozo Mayama, along with his soul. He was a rich man, and a very strong man. You see, I'm not facing you for Lord DIO's sake. I'm facing you because I'm a born gambler," D'Arby said as he threw Mr. Joestar and Polnareff token to the mid air.
"Wh- what are you planning to do with Mr. Joestar and Polnareff's souls?!" Avdol shouted out.
The Stand slashed the token, doubling the token. It slashed the tokens until there were six of them each.
"I have split their souls into six chips each. In poker, if you believe that your cards are no match for your opponent's, you're allowed to fold. But you must ante up to participate in each hand, so two will not be enough. When you're able to collect all six chips, you'll have acquired one complete soul. Understood? Now, then, Jotaro. I'd like to give you some chips to bet, as well, but I haven't heard you say a certain line yet."
"Fine. I'll bet my soul," Jotaro said. He was confident, as usual, but it made you worry this time.
"Good!"
"The chips that are white as snow represent your soul."
"W- wait," you said. D'Arby looked over at you.
"Why the hell is it white isn't it supposed to be bl-," you were cut off by Jotaro pinching you really hard.
"Ow! Okay fine. I'll stay behind," you hissed in pain.
"Anyways, as I was saying. Once I take six of those from you, you will lose your soul," D'Arby finished.

The boy started to deal the cards to Jotaro and D'Arby.
"I will use one of Polnareff's chips as my opening ante," D'Arby threw the chip. Jotaro placed one chip on the table as well.
"Let us begin!" D'Arby said.
"Now, I shall discard two cards," D'Arby said as he placed one more Polnareff's chip and two cards on the table.
"Jotaro, your soul is represented by a mere six chips. Make sure you consider your moves carefully."
The boy seemed uneasy, Avdol walked next to the boy.
"Boy, you don't need to understand what's going on. Don't worry about a thing. Just shuffle and deal the cards normally," Avdol assured the boy.
"O- okay.."
"I'll take three cards," Jotaro said as he placed a chip and three cards.
"My, my. What a frightening expression. You must have a very good hand. Maybe I should play it safe and bet just one Polnareff," D'Arby said, he was being sarcastic.
"Call," Jotaro placed a chip like D'Arby did.
"All right! It's show time, Jotaro!"
They both placed their cards on the table.
"Two pair, nine over eights," Jotaro said.
"I'm so sorry. Two pair, queen over jacks," D'Arby said.
"That was close. I almost lost. So then.." D'Arby chuckled evilly as he took the chips.
"Next hand. Deal," Jotaro said as he flicked one chip to the table.
"It might not just be the next hand, but your last. I'll draw one card," D'Arby said as he placed one token and a card on the table.
Jotaro didn't even pick up his card. He was just sitting there, he was confident of his behavior right now.
"What's the matter, Jotaro? Hurry and look at your cards, and decide whether you'll bet or fold."
"I'll... keep my cards as they are," Jotaro said with his voice full of confidence.
"Ah, forgive me but... what did you say? Did I hear you wrong? I thought I heard you say that you would keep your cards."
"You heard me right. I'm keeping my cards. I'll play with these five cards."
"I understand that!" D'Arby punched the table.
"I'm asking if you intend to play those cards without looking at them," D'Arby started shouting.
"These cards are fine."
"You can't be serious! Answer me! How can you play cards you haven't even seen?!"
"By the way, Avdol, I have a request," Jotaro looked over at Avdol.
"A request? R- right. Of course, but why aren't you looking at your cards?"
"I told you to answer me, Jotaro!"
"In addition to my last three chips... I'll wager Avdol's soul," Jotaro said as he reached for another stack of chips and placed in total of nine chips on the table.
"Wh- what?!"
"D'Arby, you're a calm man. Every move you make is calculated. You may not be powerful, but you are truly strong. I'm not a man suited to gambling, as I easily become emotional. If I played you, I would most likely lose. But I believe in Jotaro. I'm not sure what his unseen cards mean, but if Jotaro has asked me to wager I shall do so in total faith. Even if that wager is for my soul," Avdol said.
"Well, this is... you've both been overwhelmed by excitement. You aren't thinking straight. Boy! I said I was changing one card. Hurry it up."
"O- okay.." the boy handed D'Arby a card.
"Hmph. Fine. In addition to your three, I'll call with all Polnareff's chips. Hut on top of that... I shall raise you all six of Joestar's chips. That brings to total to fifteen."
"Wh- what?!"
"Why don't you wager (Y/n)'s soul like what you did with Avdol, Jotaro," D'Arby smirked.
"I'm not gonna wager (Y/n)'s soul. Instead I'll wager Kakyoin's soul," Jotaro said as he placed one more stack on the table.
"The fuck Jotaro?! Kakyoin's not even with us!" you shouted.
"What? I'm not letting someone take you away in such a shitty way," Jotaro said calmly.
"Well then.. for proof I'll need you to write this down. Then my Stand will be able to work," D'Arby handed a pen and a paper over to Jotaro. Jotaro wrote on the paper. Jotaro took out a cig. You growled and took it away as he was just about to take it to his mouth.
"Where the hell did you get this?! You'd better explain yourself!" you hissed.
"I got it from Polnareff. He handed me one at the train station."
"Ugh, it was a fool of me to believe that you won't smoke," you growled as you broke the cig into two.
You scowled and threw the cig away. You grumbled about Jotaro being an asshole again.
"(Y/n).."
"What?!"
"Can you get me a drink?... please?"
"Fine. Feel lucky I'm doing it for you. Avdol, keep an eye on him so he doesn't smoke," you growled as you walked over to the counter.
"One drink please."
"Which
