Just another day of working and being reminded of the same thing being said by Rin on that night.

Did he actually mean it or did he also accidently had taken a bit much too drink?

The Rin I knew wouldn't say such words, only if he was the younger Rin I knew.

Anyhow, I continued doing my own business.

We had a drama episode that we had to finish acting on before the last episode gets published.

And by some lucky chance, we both caught up on eachother.

I didn't especially wanted to meet up with him, not with what had happen the night before. But I guess he had to just be there.

I was about to smile and stop him to talk about something, but he bowed his head with a serious look on his face and walked away.

Well, I guess that night really meant nothing.

We somehow never link with eachother. It just seems like there is no spark between us like we had before.

Even if I think long and hard about how to get him to have genuine feelings for me, it always comes up with the answer of :

He will be the one to make the first move.

Because in every romance story, the male lead always makes the first move; or even when the female lead accidentally makes a move on the male lead that somehow causes the male lead to fall in love with her.

I guess that's not the case in my story.

I sighed as I watch him walk away.

I almost wanted to invite him over for some coffee, but I guess not.

I went on over to the food truck that sold pastries and other sorts. One of the staff there was a childhood friend of Rin and I. I guess he already knew everything behind our one-sided marriage.

" Bachira. " I called out his name as he brews another cup of hot coffee.

" Y/N! " He joyfully exclaims as his golden eyes shined under the sun rays.

I might be over exaggerating but I like to be too specific sometimes.

The corners of my mouth perked up as I see his displayed reaction.

He was like this ever since our younger days too; joyful and never took a care in the world. I guess that changed after entering adulthood.

" How's your life been? I haven't seen you after graduation. " Of course, Bachira and I were also good friends. We were once a couple too.

But after a few months and realising that we both didn't suit eachothers taste or personalities, we agreed to just break up and call it a day.

I can't complain, being in a relationship with him was a struggle sometimes. In some of the times, he would become a bit confusing and mean. Other times, we would just act like we're the best of friends.

And people around us said that we looked more like buddies instead of a cute pair of couples.

I'm glad he didn't argue much when I wanted to sorted it out.

Like I expected, he's just the same as he was before.

" Life is good; even with how I'm managing things my own way now, I could say it's doing great so far. " He mentioned as he pours the coffee in the mug.

Bachira had always been bad at maths.

Even though he took on finance in his college major, he still couldn't fix his financial problems.

I smiled at the thought of it.

Even if he had a few problems of his own, he still talked about it.

Where me myself, couldn't even talk about my own marriage problems.

I turned my head down and sighed annoyingly before placing my focus back on him.

He looks at me; confused as he wipes the mugs with a clean cloth.

" I'm still jealous of you though. " He focuses on the mug.

" Why? "

" You're living your best life now. A married life at that. " He sighs.

" And not to forget, you're an actor that makes jaw-dropping movies too. " He pouts.

" Thank you for the compliment but- "

" And you don't have to deal with any debt! " He blurts.

You widened your eyes.

Now, you both are in an awkward situation.

First, he would almost blurt everything out without thinking a second time.

Second, you don't know how to react to his information. Offended could and couldn't be the right word to explain the sudden wave of emotions.

Third, what?
