Footsteps were heard as Amelia walked the streets of Syspocalypsestar, she couldn't even hear her own thoughts over the busy clamoring of the people along the streets. Being out here wasn't exactly her brightest idea, she didn't think it would be this busy. She just wanted some fresh air, but that wasn't the only reason she was on the streets.
She was walking to the coffee shop to get her usual coffee, and also to chat with her best friend: Emmet. When she arrived at the coffee shop, she saw Emmet had got both their coffees.
"Hi, Amelia!" Emmet greeted,
"Hey, Em. You didn't have to get me mine, y'know?" "I know, I didn't want you to spend your money."
"Emmet, I'm a police officer. That job actually pays really well."
"Oh, well - Um-"
"It's okay, Em. Just remember that next time." Amelia told him, he handed Amelia her coffee.
"Thanks." Amelia said as she took a sip from her coffee.
"So, how's your guitar playing - thing going?"
"Um- Good, I think I've got a song perfectly down. The best part is the riff."
Amelia wanted more hobbies, so she tried becoming a guitarist. So far it was working out really well.
"Maybe you could become a rock star!" Emmet exclaimed,
"I don't think that's gonna happen, Em. I better just stick to being a police officer." Amelia said.
Even though it was possible for her to become a rock star, she didn't want to take the risk of being embarrassed by messing something up.
"You never know, it could happen. The universe works in mysterious ways."
"Yep, it definitely does. Anyway, I'd better go."
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I'm planning to propose to Lucy."
"Emmet, you old son of a gun. That's great!" Amelia said,
"Yeah, but I'm kinda nervous - What if she says no?!"
"Hey, man. She won't, I mean - You've been together for five years, plus you're a great guy."
"Thanks, Amelia. And y'know what, for the wedding I'm going to make you my best man!"
"You do know I'm a woman?" "Yes, but you've been by my side for years! So I'm doing something for you." "Thanks, dude. I appreciate that. And hey, if you need my help, just call me."
"Got it, thanks." "Bye, dude." "Bye!"
Amelia walked out of the coffee shop, only to be greeted by the busy streets once again.
"Huh, Emmet getting married. That's definitely a big change."
She said to herself, but her best friend getting married made her wonder if she'll ever find someone to marry. She thought she found her special someone, but he ended up being a fairy tale. She decided to stop thinking about - Him, and continue on with her day.
The rest of the day was pretty normal, nothing happened. So she decided to go home, when she got home she practiced her guitar playing a little.
While she was practicing, Emmet called her. She picked it up,
"Hey, Em. What's up?"
"She said yes!"
"That's amazing, dude!"
"The wedding is in two months, but I don't have a party planner yet."
"Ask Unikitty, she's great at planning parties." Amelia suggested,
"You're right, I'll give her a call. Bye, Amelia!"
"Bye, Em."
She ended the call, and got up to go to bed. Amelia could never sleep well, so she has to take Melatonin - Otherwise she'll stay up all night.
After a while, she finally fell asleep.
