Amelia looked in the mirror as Lunella was doing the finishing touches on her dress. Amelia had a monotone expression, she felt she would have that expression for the rest of her life.

"You don't seem happy, Miss Amelia." Lunella said,

"I'm afraid I'm not, I was taken away from my life, my friends, my-"

"Love?"

"Yeah..."

"You seem to be very fond of Mr. Dangervest."

"He's my best friend, he's been with me all my life, well, basically."

"I can't blame you for wanting to be with Mr. Dangervest, he's good-looking." Amelia blushed, "Yeah- He is."

"Although he isn't my type, I like the King more."

"Wait, you're in love with Firen?"

"Yes, I am. But he would never go for a lowly maid like me."

"Have you ever tried confessing to him, he might like you too."

"But you're the one he's marrying."

"Yes, I know. But maybe he just hasn't realized the woman he needs is you. I mean, you have all the qualities of a good queen. You're sweet and kind, and I'm not. Plus, you are very pretty."

"Oh, thank you, Miss Amelia. But I'm just too scared to ask."

Amelia then got an idea,

"Hey, if you can help me get out of this mess, then I can help you confess to Firen. What do you say."

Lunella thought about it, she did really love Firen, but she didn't wanna betray him. She made her decision,

"I'm in."

Rex tried his with all his strength to break out of the chains that held him,

"I need to get to her, I have to stop this!"

He kept trying and trying, but he couldn't break the chains.

"Cotton Candy!" He fell to his knees and hung his head,

"Amelia..."

He remembered when he first met her as Rex,

"Dangervest, Huh? That sounds totally made up."

He smiled, remembering what she said about his name. He thought of another memory with her when he was still Emmet,

"Em, don't listen to what those other guys said, you don't need to become fully tough, you just need a little attitude!"

"I don't trust you, Dangervest. But since Emmet trusts you, I'm gonna be nice."

"You're not the bad guy... You just have a broken heart."

That last memory was enough to make him try again, and this time it worked, he broke the chains. "Now, to stop the love of my life from marrying a demented king."

Amelia and Lunella ran through the halls of the castle to the throne room,

"I'm starting to have second thoughts!" Lunella yelled,

"Don't worry, you'll be fine!"

As they were running, they ran into Rex.

"Rex!"

"Cotton Candy!" He hugged her,

"Oh god, I thought I was gonna lose you!"

"I'm fine, I ain't giving up that easily."

He looked at Lunella,

"What's she doin' here?"

"Don't worry, she's with me. I'm helping her confess to Firen."

"Hold up, she's-"

"In love with him? Yes. But we gotta get to the throne room."

"Let's go, then!"

They all ran the way to the throne room, where they found King Firen.

"King Firen!" Amelia yelled, Firen was confused,

"Amelia, why aren't you-"

Then he saw Rex.

"Dangervest, how did you escape? Y'know what, it doesn't matter. Guards!"

Rex prepared to do the Master Breaker Punch, but Amelia stopped him before he could,

"Okay, before you destroy this entire place, let me talk to him."

"Alright, fine."

"King Firen, hear me out. You don't have to be this way."

"Whatever do you mean, my dear?"

"You don't have to be... The bad guy."

Rex smiled, knowing where she got that line from.

"Huh? What are you-"

"Is this really want you want? To be with someone who isn't a perfect fit for you, and take over innocent planets?"

"I- Um-"

"You can still find love, you just can't take over other galaxies. In fact, I know someone who wants to tell you something. Lunella?"

Lunella walked over beside Amelia,

"King Firen- I...love you. I always have, I just thought you wouldn't want a maid like me..."

Everything was silent for a while, then Firen spoke up.

"Lunella, I love you too. I don't know what I was thinking-"

"You can start over as the good guy."

"Maybe I will do that, thank you, Amelia."

He walked closer to Lunella,

"And, Lunella. Would you do the honor of becoming my queen?"

Lunella looked back at Amelia, who gave two thumbs up signs.

"Yes, absolutely!" They both kissed each other.

Rex walked up beside Amelia,

"Um- I've got something I need to tell you too."

"Oh, and what is that, Mr. Dangervest?" Amelia asked,

"I am madly in love with you-"

"Oh- Um..."

"I get if you don't wanna be with me, I just-"

"Hey, you didn't let me finish. I was gonna say I'm madly in love with you too."

Rex smiled then without warning kissed her, she returned the kiss. When they parted,

"You're a surprisingly really good kisser."

"Surprisingly?"

"Don't think on it too much."
