(Jake's Pov)

By the next day Skye seems to have gotten worse. I refuse to leave his side even though his father keeps trying to get me to go home to at least eat but I just kindly decline. I hold firmly onto Skye's hand and stare at the silver necklace around his neck that makes me feel so jealous it kills me inside. But it's then as I'm staring at the necklace that I see the red irritation of the skin around his neck. Frowning I get up and move closer gently touching the necklace and look more closely at the chain to see the silver has rubbed off. My eyes narrow and I gently lift the chain to observe the back my eyes widening when I see that instead of real silver it's painted that way and that the necklace is really bronze. Gasping I quickly undo the chain and take it off seeing that the chain left behind a little burn where it was on Skye's skin. Just as mr Park comes back in I look at him in excitement. "Mr Park I know what's wrong! The necklace was made out of bronze not silver." His eyes widen and he rushes over examining the necklace. "Someone must not have known that bronze hurts sirens." I immediately frown. "No sir I think he was purposely poisoned. And I know exactly who it could have been. I'll take care of it later." He gives a curious look but decides not to question it for now. Instead he rushes off to tell the doctors who come back and immediately relook Skye over. "His immune system is very weak. I don't know if he'll have the strength to fight off the toxins of the bronze." I stay quiet for a moment before offering. "I could give him some of my blood. It has healing properties." They all look at each other before nodding and I step forward gently biting into my wrist making a cut then gently tilt it having a few drops of blood land in Skye's mouth. I then bandage my wrist up and take a seat beside the bed waiting patiently. It takes a few hours but I can see Skye's skin turning back to normal and he no longer needs the oxygen mask. I bounce my leg in anticipation as he starts to move around until finally his chocolate brown eyes pop open and I immediately smile. "Hey there sleepy head. You had us all worried." He gives me a groggy look of confusion. "Jake? What happened?" My expression immediately darkens a little. "Someone tried to kill you with a bronze necklace painted silver." His eyes widen a little in surprise and fear. "How'd I get better? Bronze makes it impossible for sirens to heal." I give him a small smile. "My blood has healing factors so I gave you some." His nose scrunches up slightly but he says softly. "Thank you Jake. You saved my life." I smile softly and wave it off. "We can discuss that later. I'm just glad your better." He smiles then sits up I quickly getting up to help him. Once he's fully sitting up I sit back down and take ahold of his hand again he looking down at our intertwined hands with a blush. I smile then look up when I hear footsteps and next thing I know Teddy and Cedar are running into the room tackling Skye into a hug. I grumble pouting a little but move out of the way and decide to leave the room to head home. Once leaving the room I see Mr Park coming back from the cafeteria and give him a smile. "He's awake and his best friends kinda kidnapped him from me so I'm going home for a minute. I'll be back to talk to him later." He nods thanking me and I teleport home.
