After Sunday the next few days at school are a big change. During class Jake and I have actually been talking and getting along and he even invited me to sit with him and the others at lunch. I can't help but to think back of that girl who threatened me and it's got me wary about what she's planning but by Wednesday I'm more focused on a test that I have in literature than anything else. Jake and surprisingly Sunghoon helps me study before class and once I'm finished with the test it's the end of the day so I head to my locker to put my books away. Once I open my locker though I spot a small wrapped box with a note on it and grab it cautiously reading the note that says it's a present from a secret admirer. Blinking in surprise I warily unwrap and open the box gaping in awe when I see a pretty silver crescent moon and sun pendant. Smiling I immediately put it on throwing the note, wrapping paper and box away then go to meet Jake and the others. Once Jake spots me he smiles only to frown slightly when he spots the necklace. "Who gave you that?" I shrug. "Apparently a secret admirer. It's pretty though." His frown deepens and my attention is grabbed by Teddy and Cedar who are fussing over the necklace with me. "Ooo it's so pretty!" Cedar bounces on his heels in excitement as Teddy gently runs his fingers over it. "I wonder who gave it to you. It looks like it was professionally made." I nod in agreement and I turn to give Jake a quick goodbye before heading home Teddy and Cedar walking with me. Once we reach my house I give my friends a quick hug and a goodbye then head inside smiling when I see my papa. "Hey papa!" He looks up smiling and looks at the new necklace curiously. "Who gave you that?" I immediately shrug. "A secret admirer apparently. It was left in my locker." He hums thoughtfully before grinning at me teasingly. "Maybe Jake left it." I shake my head blushing. "Nah I doubt it. He saw me wearing it and was frowning so it probably wasn't him." My papa nods and I go to change into some comfortable clothes before helping my papa with dinner and we sit down to do my homework before I head to bed not noticing the strange feeling starting to appear in my body.

(The next morning)

I groggily wake up to my alarm and I groan at my pounding head clutching it with one hand before grabbing my phone with the other. I quickly turn my alarm off and just lay there feeling chills all through my body and my head hurting like there's a million knives stabbing it. Before I know it my papa comes into my room looking worried. "You alright Skye? Your usually out of bed and dressed by now." I just groan and lower my blankets to peek at him. "I feel like crap." He frowns and steps forward putting a hand on my forehead before quickly pulling it away. "Your burning up. No school for you today young man." I grumble in agreement I quickly sending Teddy and Cedar a text then put my phone aside immediately going back to sleep.
