ROSETTA'S POV:
I wake up in the hospital not quite remembering how I got here. Rosalio told me I got into a car accident and the Oswald guy rushed me here. He seems like a caring friend and I'm glad he looks out for me, even though I don't remember him.

"You didn't answer my first question. Who's he to me?" I ask Rosalio after Oswald leaves

"He's your boyfriend."

"Boy- How did that happen?" I ask and he explains it to me.

"Is that not how Levi and I got together?" I ask

I seem to have gotten events and dates jumbled up.

"No." Rosalio says and takes out his phone out.

"See?" There was of photo of the Oswald guy and I sharing an intimate moment. We were so close. Why can't I remember then?

The harder I try the more my head hurts.

The room starts to spin and I my head feels light, making it fall back on the pillow. Rosalio walks out 0perhaps in search of a nurse while I shut my eyes tightly, fearful of what might happen.

ROSALIO'S POV:
I call the nurse and we are asked to stay out. We wait in anticipation. A few minutes later, the doctor walks out with the nurse and she approaches us.

"Have you tried to help her remember some things she might have forgotten?" She asks and I nod

"Apparently, it was too much information for her to take in and she forcing to remember caused her lightheadedness. She was working her brain beyond it's limits. I'll advice you don't try to bring her memory back until she's in a more stable condition to comprehend much information." She says and walks back into Rosetta's room.

Bennie turns to me."I have to go Rosalio. I don't think I'll be allowed in there now but please let her know that I left because it was urgent."

She hugs me and whispers,"Things will get back to normal pretty soon and yeah, don't forget to talk to Daniella."

She knows too. Ugh.  She lets go of me and leaves.

Daniella returns shortly after with a snack in hand. I still wonder how that girl remains slim despite all the junk food she takes.

"Where's Bennie?" She asks.

"You just missed her. Said it was something important and had to rush home."

"But she's my ride." Ella whines.

"I could take you home." I offer and she nods thankfully.

"Let me just say goodbye to Rosetta." We walk towards the room and they tell us she's asleep.

We walk back to where mom and dad are now seated.

"Please let her know I left." Ella tells mom and she smiles back at her.

I walk her to my car and open the door for her.

"Ooo. Quite gentlemanly." She gushes. I just chuckle and walk over to my side. The car ride is silent but I really want to talk and I can see she does too.

"I want-"
"I shouldn't-"
We say simultaneously.

"You go first." She nods and says, "I want to apologise for leaving you hanging the other day."

"It's not your fault. I shouldn't have just popped it up like that. I'm sorry." I say and look at her for a brief second before looking back at the road.

We get to her house sooner than expected and she hesitates in alighting. Seems like she's not done talking.

I stare at her and she looks away. I turn her head to face me but she avoids eye contact. I just sigh and look in front of me.

"I like you Rosalio but I don't want to be used. Judging by your reputation, I might be left brokenhearted and I don't want that to happen."

"I know the picture my reputation paints of me but I'm willing to change that. I've got to start somewhere. If only you'll give me a chance, I'll show you that I really mean my words when I say I like you and I'm changing because of you." I look back at her to see her staring up at me.

She looks back at her house but doesn't make a move to step out. It looks like she's thinking of something. "I'm going to take the risk, give the player a chance to prove that he's actually changing for me." She pauses. "Why though?" I furrow my eyebrows in confusion and she continues, "Why me?"

"Because you're an amazing person Daniella. You do you no matter what people think. You're caring, funny, fun loving, smart and beautiful. You're a whole package of awesomeness wrapped up in a bubbly nature." I say and she giggles at the last part.

"I'm glad you think that." She says, "I'll see you tomorrow Ross. Goodnight." She wishes me and walk out of my car.

I drive back to the hospital and find mom asleep in dad's arms while Josh has his attention on his tablet.

Dad signals me over. "Take your mom and Josh home. I'll stay here with your sister."

"But you need to rest too. You go home and I'll stay here." I suggest but he refuses to comply.

"The both of you should go home. I'm fine here on my own. I don't need 24/7 care."

"We can't leave you here alone." I say

"I insist. Y'all should go rest and come back livelier tomorrow." She says. "It's an order."

"Ma'am!, Yes ma'am!" I salute her and she chuckles.

I take Josh in my car and dad takes mom in his. Josh drifts off to sleep a few minutes into the drive.

I carry him to his bedroom when I arrive home and tuck him in, just like mom would do.

I walk to my own bedroom and prepare for bed, so many thoughts running through my head. I don't forget to say my usual night prayer before I finally fall asleep.

OSWALD'S POV:
After the wretched family dinner, which was actually very quiet and tensed up, I walk back to my room and text Rosalio. He doesn't reply so I presume he's asleep. I pick up my headphones and put some music on, the volume at it's max to drown out all negative emotions. With my eyes closed and head facing upwards, I don't realise the time mom and Emma walked into my room until I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I take the headphones off and sit up with mom on my right and Emma on my left.

"Mind telling us what happened when you got there? You've been quiet ever since."

I look at mom and my eyes water. "She doesn't remember me mom; Rosetta doesn't remember me." She pulls me in for a hug as Emma rubs my back.

I retreat and wipe my eyes like nothing happened.

"I know it's going to be hard but you'll have to live with it for sometime. It's just temporary. She'll have her memories rushing back soon." Mom reassures.

"How soon mom?" I ask still uncertain.

"I can't tell that Nicholas." She says

"What if she never remembers me? What'll happen then?"

"If it happens that those memories do not return to her, it'll give you an opportunity to create new ones." She makes a point but will she be safe with me?

"I think I should let her go for her own safety. Maybe she not recalling our memories is nature's way of telling me to let go of her."

"Don't speak rubbish brother." Emma reprimands. "This is the time she needs you most. Don't let her down. Don't let dad's heartless deeds lead you into losing a treasure you've worked hard on winning over."

"But if I stay with her am I not being selfish? Knowing the risk and all."

"That's not being selfish Oswald. That's called claiming what's yours or in this case, who. You tried to let her go the first time when she was with whomever, she ended up coming back. Isn't that enough proof that you shouldn't let her go?" Emma reasons.

I ponder over her suggestion. She's right. Rosetta's mine and I shouldn't let that monster's devilish deeds ruin the best relationship I've ever had.

She hugs me and I reciprocate. Mom joins in the hug and Liam walks in at that moment.

"There was a family meeting and I wasn't informed?" He says childishly, stumping his foot on the ground.

"Come here son. Join the group hug." Liam joins us and we stay together for who knows how long.

When we break apart, everyone goes back to their activities and I get ready for bed. Taking a warm, refreshing shower, I end my day with a prayer, still thankful even in these hard times.
