On my break off from Crystal Clear Coffee, I head to the grocery shop to pick up things for the apartment. I glance over at the Peridot's text of what we gotta get. First, I head for things I want to get. Bananas is the closest  I think. I bump into a tall figure. "Hey! watch where ya go-" she stops. I realize who it is and try to walk away. But then she catches on. "Hey Lapis, does Jasper ring a bell! College?" She exhorts as if I really want to remember who she is. I grab my bananas and steer away. I sigh and run my fingers through my hair, remembering my four years of giving into Jasper. I close my eyes hoping to forget. Then, a sudden memory drops into my head.

"I have to forget. It's over..." I mumble. "Ma'am, it will be $47.22. Ma'am!" says an unfamiliar voice says to me. I snap out of it and pay the cashier. "Thank you.." I coaxed then look at her name tag. "Aquamarine" I end the sentence more quietly that it was more silence than a thanks. I nod and head for the exit. I get in the car and drive back to Crystal Clear Coffee.
