Caitlyn's POV:

I couldn't tell by the look on his face but when I heard his voice, it caused me to cry. Sister, you are influenced by the vampires. That's disgusting. He said in disgust.

I felt myself falling into a void, everything around me fading and going in circles.

And the image of my brother had started to fade...

-----------------------------------------------------

"Brother!" I screamed as I woke up, remembering the disappointing words from my brother. I realized that I was back in Kaden's place.

The room in which I had escaped.

I'm back.

Wonderful.

I looked at the windows. They were covered with wood.

The windows were sealed.

There is no way out.

I remembered what happened yesterday since it was now daylight...

I got out of here yesterday...

Except I'm not home.

I'm at Kaden's place...

..wait...KADEN'S PLACE!?

I suddenly ran to the door and tried to open it but it was locked.

Locked.

I banged on the door. "Hello! Anyone there?! Let me out!" I yelled.

"What's all this noise early in the morning?"

I heard Kaden's voice on the side of the door as well as his footsteps.

I continued to bang on the door. "LET ME OUT!"

Kaden sighed. "Open the door."

I knew this might be a chance and I could attempt to run out of there. As soon as the doors banged open I tried to barge out of the room.

Kaden grabbed my arm and dragged me back to the room. I tried to make him let me go. "LET ME GO!" I screamed.

He ignored me and then walked to the bed. He then throws me on the bed. "Still can't believe you are trying to escape."

He climbed on top of me. "Weren't you the one who offered to give me your blood yesterday?"

My eyes widened as I realized what had happened other than trying to escape.

Surely I not only escape but was attacked by crows...

Saved by Kaden...

Went into that forest with him...

I groaned. "I don't remember anything after we went into the forest."

"Idiot," Kaden called me.

I narrowed my eyebrows. "The fuck did you just-"

"People who entered the forest, specifically humans experience hallucinations. And then unconsciousness. Then die there." Kaden explained.

He smirked. "That was your punishment for letting go of my hand, you know?"

I felt my face turning red for some reason and I turned away. "I don't see how letting go of your hand was a problem," -I looked back at him with a sneer- "Your hand was sweaty."

Now it was Kaden's turn to turn red. "What the fuck!? I do not sweat. And you might end up staying in here."

My teasing stopped and I felt my heart sinking. "Just let me go home. Please." I begged him.

Kaden got off of me and sat on the side of the bed. "I told you to be my blood servant...or your brother can take your place until I had enough of it."

I glared at him. "Leave my brother out of it."

He shrugged. "The choice is yours." And he started to walk away and I heard him mutter something to the maids who seemed more like bodyguards at this point.

"Watch her for me."

And he was gone.

But I didn't pay much attention to it as I cried and let tears fall down my cheeks.

I covered my eyes with my arm on top of it.

God, why does this have to happen to me?

Third Person:

In the town of Celibac, it looks peaceful with the bright sunlight shimmering on roofs and making the roofs look shiny.

The town looks peaceful but like many other towns, this one as well as vampires lurking along with them.

The main center is connected to one street with women wearing dresses or covered with aprons and men wearing suits and hats.

Standing outside of the door of his house, stood a boy with light cream and blond hair. Unlike his older sister, who has dark purple eyes, he has green eyes that are bright like a gem.

Though his eyes did not spark bright as usual when his sister is around. She had been gone for a day since he saw her before she left to go to school the day before.

He seemed rather...sad.

Weak and vulnerable to vampires who enjoy such prey.

He approached two female adults. One had a light lavender and is taller than the other woman. The shorter woman has brown hair and is short.

The shorter woman spoke first. "Oh, it's so early today, isn't it?" She asked the boy.

The boy smiled. "Ah, today is the day that my sister should come back from school." I hope he added silently.

The taller woman joined in. "Oh, that's right! Isn't your sister a student at Capital Academy?"

The boy nervously smiled knowing very well that the only reason the school was named Capital was named after the King's younger brother, Kaden. "Yes, she is. My sister is almost here. I'll go get her." And the boy waved goodbye at them and walked away.

But he couldn't stop hearing the two women talk about him.

"That child had a serious heart condition at such a young age."

"Poor child, I wonder how much pain he had to suffer, mostly how hard it must be for his older sister."

"With that look on his face, it might catch the vampire's attention. Vampire nobles especially love to feed on the weak."

The boy all of a sudden led to the wall. He could feel his heart beating slowly. And he felt cold sweat dripping down his face. "If it wasn't for the scholarship they offer to help pay for my treatment...my sister would never have gone to a school full of vampires in the first place." The boy said through gritted teeth.

"Excuse me, you are Caitlyn's brother, Colton, right?"

The boy turned to see a student wearing the uniform that his sister goes to and recognizes the student to be a part of the academy.

She has blue hair along with a row of freckles across her nose.

"Yes, I am." The boy told the girl. "Is something the matter?"

The girl spoke. "I'm a classmate of your sister and..."

The look on the girl's face told him that something is wrong and he tried to wait patiently for her to finish.

"Something happened to your sister. She was taken away by Lord Kaden."

And the boy's eyes widened in terror.

Kaden's POV:

Should probably check on the brat.

Hush, Kaden. Ian scolded. You shouldn't be so rude to her especially since she is your mate.

I groaned. Shut up and don't mention it.

Very moody today are we, huh? Ian mumbled.

I glared at him. You might as well want to shut up or I'll make you shut up. I warned him.

Hmph, whatever.

I walked down the hallway that leads to Caitlyn's room.

The last time I saw her was when I offered her to be my blood servant or her brother will take her place.

I heard rumors of her brother's condition, and he wasn't doing so well.

I saw the maids recently coming out of Caitlyn's room when the cups and plates were. Wonder if she has eaten. "Is she still causing trouble?" I asked the maids.

The maids bowed their heads as one of them spoke. "Lord Kaden, Miss Caitlyn has not eaten and refuses to eat."

As soon as I heard that I gritted my teeth. She refused to eat and it had been nearly two days!

"Such a troublemaker." I signaled the maids to move aside. "I shall take of it." I walked when the door opened and it didn't even make the girl flinch.

The girl was covered inside the covers, refusing to even look at me. I growled. "Hey! Don't think I'll let you go if you refuse to eat."

I reached and pulled the covers off for her. I heard Caitlyn wince and realized that she was crying.

She sniffed. "I want to go home," She finally turned her face at me, "I don't care if it is just for today."

I made eye contact with her. "Why today?" I asked.

"Because-"

And before she could finish, she was interrupted by a man's voice. "Lord Kaden."

"What is it?" I asked without looking away from the girl.

"Miss Caitlyn's brother has come to visit."

I looked at the man in shock.

"What?"

Caitlyn's POV:

"Miss Caitlyn's brother has come to visit."

Both me and Kaden looked at the man in shock.

"What?" Kaden asked again as if he couldn't believe what he just heard.

"The boy asked to see the young master."

I looked at the man in surprise. "How did Colton manage to come all the way here?!" I started to get up when Kaden grabbed my arm.

He pulled me close so I am facing him. "It's just as you wanted huh? Did you want to go home? Now that your brother is visiting you, you should at least be happy."

I want to go see my brother, I hadn't seen him for nearly two days but...

I can't let him see me with a vampire either!

The hallucination echoed the image of my brother.

"Sister, you're disgusting, hanging out with vampires." My brother said back in that cursed forest.

I pulled my arm away from him and let it drop on my side.

Kaden's mood dropped, and he looked upset. "What's wrong?"

He could see the worry that is shown on my face. "Don't want your brother to see how you look with a vampire, huh?"

And he grabbed my arm and dragged me with him.

"OI! LET ME GO!" I yelled.

"You are afraid that your brother will you with me?" Kaden asked in disgust.

I looked away. "You wouldn't understand," I said through clenched teeth.

Kaden rose a brow at me. "You sure 'bout that?"

I didn't respond to him but looked anywhere other than meeting his cat-like eyes.

He slammed me against a curtain and covered only where I was with the curtain.

"Stay behind this curtain, and shut up and watch," Kaden ordered me.

I looked at him in horror, he is going to let my brother inside!

I must warn my brother to get out of this place!

I felt my hands trembling while I tried to calm myself.

Kaden walked and sat on the couch with his arms crossed across his chest. "Bring him in." He said.

I heard footsteps and peeked and saw a man holding his hand on my brother's shoulder.

My brother didn't look that different than me, we look alike. He has the same hair color as I do with a light cream blond complex.

But our eye colors are different. I have my strange purple eyes while he has our mother's beautiful green eyes.

"COLT-"

A bodyguard of Kaden covered my mouth before I could call out my brother's name. He whispered to me a warning. "Miss Caitlyn, don't forget what Kaden told you to do."

I hopelessly remain quiet, and uselessly watch my brother talk to Kaden.

I watched the two boys talk.

Kaden's POV:

"You are Caitlyn's brother?" I asked the boy who strangely looked a lot like his older sister.

"Yes." The boy responds.

I kept my amusement to myself, showing not a single bit of emotion. "Why did you come to see me?"

He kneeled on his knees, which froze me still and I widened my eyes in surprise.

"I beg you, Lord Kaden," The boy begged. "Please, please, please spare my sister."

I stood there amazed but as well shocked by his sudden actions. This boy cared for his sister just as she cared for her brother.

Whoa...

Guess she does a heart for-

Wait what am I thinking!?

I groaned in frustration.

You should give pity to the poor boy and girl, Kaden. Ian suggested. The poor boy looks like he is in pain.

Shut up and let me do this myself. I said.

Don't say I didn't warn you. Ian warned me.

I saw the boy breathing heavily like he was dying but I paid less attention to that. "I thought you had the same sense as your sister," I smirked. "I guess I underestimated that."

The boy closed his eyes. "I'm sorry for my sister's actions. If she had done something to anger you, I would like to apologize to you for her."

"Sadly...I cannot do that. She and I have some personal matters to finish." I said. "She has to finish her part of the deal if she wants to leave."

The boy slammed his hand on his chest. "I'll do anything you want but let my sister go!"

Caitlyn's POV:

Colton slammed his hand on his chest. "I'll do anything you want but let my sister go!"

He then dipped his head low and breathed even harder.

I watched in panic as I realized what was happening that Kaden did not see.

Colton's illness.

Kaden didn't even notice that! "Hey, you can get up now," Kaden told him.

But my brother remain on his knees and I saw that he was starting to shake. I saw his face turn pale and sweat started to drip down. "As long as you p-promise to leave my s-sister alone...I-I..."

And he collapsed to the ground. "What-?" Kaden stood up but I pushed the man who was beside me, shocked by what just happened, and ran to my brother.

"Colton!" I called out his name in panic. "Colton! C-Colton!"

Kaden walked to a man. "Go bring the best doctor around here but fast." He ordered.

The man bowed. "As you wish."

I lifted Colton in my arms as I cried out his name. Colton's eyes were closed and he was still breathing heavily.

"P-Please...Colton...d-don't die..."
