Talon's POV

"I'm telling you Dante, she think it's her fault we have to help her!" I hear my mom exclaim and I decide to stay behind the kitchen door.

"Aspen it doesn't seem like she wants any help okay? Besides we don't have any space." He concludes.

"Which abused person would want help idiot! And we can make space, the- there's Elizabeth's bedro-."

"No!" He booms and even I flinch. "That room is forbidden, I don't even know why you let her in today. Now stop complaining and leave the girl alone."

Silence.

I've never heard dad get so...angry.

"Yell at me again, and I will slit your throat." Is all mom says calmly before her heels started clicking on the floor, suggesting that she was leaving, the front door slams shut and I hear my dad sigh.

I decide it's time to step out from the door, slowly pushing it open.

"How much did you hear?"

"Don't yell at mom like that again." I demand looking at him confused.

Who's Elizabeth?

"I know, I know." He says.

"Who's Elizabeth?" I voice out.

"Your sister."

"My sister?" The fudge.

"Yup." He says popping the "p" while sipping whatever was in his drink. "She died during birth, affected me more than it did your mom."

I had a sister.

"And you're telling me this now?"

Why haven't I questioned that pink room before?

 And just like that?

"Had to know sooner or later, I don't know why your mom was so keen on keeping it away from you for so long."

"Um...Okay..." I trail off overwhelmed.

"Why don't you spend the night at you friends? It'll give me some time to fix things.'

"Uh...okay.." I say slowly walking backwards into my room and my dad smiles shaking his head.

That's his reaction to all this?

----------
Talon's POV

"So you're telling us...you have a sister?" Rider asks raising an eyebrow.

"Had. She died during birth dad said."

"Oh wow dude. I'm sorry." Landon says and I shrug.

"I don't really feel anything. I guess it's because I didn't even know she existed...you know?" I conclude picking at invisible lint on my pants.

"Yeah....How's Folly though?"

Oh yea..

"She's...I don't know."

"I mean after last night...."

Yes I told them.

And Folly's gonna hate me even more.

"She didn't even talk to me when she left my car."

"Ungrateful." Ryder muttered and I smacked him behind his head.

"She traumatized. Give her a break."

"Sure she is." He says rolling his eyes while rubbing his head.

"Anyway guys, lets get loose. Boys night outt." Landon yells and I'm really not in the mood for a party but, what the hell.

-------

Folly's POV

Siting in Dory's spare bedroom I limply stare out the window. I'm mortified. As soon as I got home he wasn't even there so I decided to grab some stuff and run off as fast I could. Everything dawned on me then, Talon saw what happened. He saw.

Sighing I close my eyes leaning back into the window bed enjoying the feel of a world of darkness swallowing me.

"Folly...I can't provide for this family...And I think you'll have a better life if I just disappear, there would be more money for two of you." My mom whispers to my 12 year old self, thinking I was asleep. I furrowed my eyes, feeling her stroke my hair softly. "I love you princess, I really do, and I'm doing this for you. I thought about just going away but where will I go? Where will I work? Its a  better life this way."

"What? What do you mean by disappear?" I speak up and she freezes for a moment before sighing.

"Why sugar coat it right?" She half sobs, half laughs. "I-I'm going to take some pills okay? A-and I'm gonna be alright. I-I'll always b-be with you, just not like before...but I'm always here okay?"

She says placing a palm in the area where my heart is and I find myself crying.

I'm not dumb.

I know she was going to kill herself.

And it was all because of me.

I had to stop her.

I-I had to.

"No, I-I you can't do this, how will we live without you? We were doing fine. I don't need new shoes or, or I don't get hungry often, who says I need recess, Mom please don't do this." I plead twirling her golden locks as she smiles.

"It's for the best." Is all she says before getting up and I decide to follow her.

"Folly get back in bed." She demands and I shake my head grabbing her gown.

"Please? I need you...please."

"Get back in bed." She repeats.

"Take me instead. Kill me. Wait no i'll do it myself! Just don't go mommy." I yell tears streaming down my face.

"Folly get back-!" She was going to scream but stopped herself. "Flower, please get into bed for mommy okay?"

And all hope was lost.

She turned her back on me that day and I know I should hold her responsible, but the guilt from knowing this was my fault...

"Flower?"

"Mom?" I call out.

"No its me...Dory."

Dory?

Oh..

Waking up I don't even lift my head.

"You okay? You've been crying." She says calmly sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I'm fine." I murmur staring at the ceiling and she sighs.

"Trace is here to see you."

"Okay." I whisper sniffing and she kisses my cheek before leaving.

"You'll be okay Flower, you'll be okay."

-----------

"I don't want to be here." I whine to Trace for the 100th time.

"And I don't care. You need to loosen up."

"Leave me alone." I sigh exasperatedly and he bites me.

Bites.

Me.

"Dude. Please stop your bullshi^t." I deadpan and he sighs.

We walk into the party and I am immediately over whelmed by the smell of booze and sweat.

"Fudge." Andd Trace was gone.

Life.

I walk to a near by crusty looking couch, eyeing the users of it.

A lip locked crazed couple, a creepy looking teenage boy who was gazing at the little gasp of skin that my v-neck exposed and a scared looking cat.

I sighed before continuing my adventure, entering the kitchen.

It looked quiet enough, so I hopped on the counter and folded my arms as "Run up by Major Lazer" started playing and the remaining people who was in the kitchen ran out with excitement.

This is going to be a long night.

"Need a drink?" A nice looking boy asks me and I blatantly ignore him. "Okay...Don't need to be a b-tch about it."

And then a drink was thrown on me.

I only gasp watching him smirk and walk away, while tequila dripped down my shirt.

Sighing I just sit there waiting the night off, very uncomfortable may I add.

"Um excuse me but that doesn't look very.... enjoyable." A girl nearby states and I sigh looking at her.

She reaches into her back pack and removes a plain black long sleeved V- neck and hands it to me.

"Looks about your size... I brought it just in case a drink fell on me but seems you need it more." She smiles kindly and I nod giving her a grateful glance.

"Thanks." I say quickly removing my shirt and I catch her eyes widen.

Probably the bruises.

I don't say anything, just slip the shirt on and stare at her ready for her to say something but she only smiles.

"I'm Wendy." She says outstretching her hand and I nod grabbing it."Want to go somewhere more quiet?"

"Yes please." I look at her with what I hope were happy eyes.

She grabs my hand and I flinch but she doesn't even look back, I know she felt it.

She leads us through this disgusting, sweaty ground and out the back door.

It was dark, really dark and I was seriously considering walking back into that horrible place but we stopped.

I was about to ask her why were were in the middle of a horror scene but found my self silenced by beauty.

The moonlight fell over the lake like a curtain to a window. The breeze was heavy, but not in an over-bearing way. It was beautiful while the grass flowed along with it. Sighing, I sit on the grass bringing my knees to my chest.

"Its beautiful." I murmur. "How did you find it?"

Wendy sits next to me Indian style and just stares out at the lake.

"I found it when I needed to get away, believe it or not that used to be my house."

"Used to be?"

"I ran away." She stated.

Huh?

That doesn't make any sense.

She then lifted the side of her shirt to reveal fading purple marks.

"Woah." I whisper eyeing them, now I'm really confused.

"My dad is an abuser. He's a lawyer, rich, can't really report him. So I ran away, my boyfriend had to come to this party so he could celebrate the football win. Only reason I'm here."

Oh.

I wanted to ask why but...

That's why she didn't say anything when I flinched...or when she saw the scars.

She's been through the same.

"You're not the only one." She speaks up after a while. "And it does get better. It may take some time, but the hurting does stop. You see, sometimes the lord sends someone just for us, someone to save us, it's up to us to recognize that person. Most of us have met him or her, but let them go. If you find them, or if anyone is genuinely willing to help you...don't let them go. You'll regret it."

I meditate on her words while enjoying the silence surrounding us.

But was it really silence if the whole time Talon was the one floating in my mind?
