[3rd person]
"You know, love is a funny game," Rue said calmly, "It hurts you, makes you happy, breaks you down, and bulids you all over again.Love is a wonderful version of pain that we all cling onto, no matter how stupid it may be to some of us." she spoke, her words having a hidden meaning to them, as always honestly.
Y/N looked at her and she let out a quiet soft sigh, giving a small nod as her reply to the wisdom of her immortal doppelganger. "How do I go back?" she whispered, staring around the endless white-ness of the room.
"Well, Riya Y/N (Queen Y/N)." she took a step closer to her, pointing to Shad's relic floating near them, calm but strong, powerful yet awfully complicated. "Remember that?" Rue asked, her voice leaning towards hope as I nodded, remembering every single detail; sadly. "Just say the same spell you did last time, but know this, change is good; wonderful even.Good luck, essa Riya (my Queen)."
With those words she was gone in a flash, leaving behind only Y/N, the memories and the relic calling her to come closer, but this time she declined. As if, having enough, she grabbed her sword and held it above the relic.
Soon, taking a deep breath, she recited the spell, but changing the order of the words this time.Making the spell fit the situation.
"They send me away to find them a fortune
A chest filled with diamonds and gold
The house was awake, the shadows and monsters
The hallways, they echoed and groaned," she whispered, lowering her sword by a single inch, a spark igniting between the relic and her choice of weapon. "I paced around for hours on empty
I jumped at the slightest of sounds
And I couldn't stand the person inside me
I turned all the mirrors around," she kept going, the relic taking space in her view shaking slightly, as if asking her to stop. "I'm bigger than my body
I'm colder than this home
I'm meaner than my demons
I'm bigger than these bones," and with that, Y/N lowered her sword on the relic, one single tap having the power of the spell ruined the relic, a painful scream went through her ears as she was blinded by the white light around her.
---
Her eyes flutter open, letting her gaze lurk around slowly, realization hits her as hard as a brick in the face.A library room.Very familiar. In other words, it was the room of; the one, the only, Zane Ro'Meave.Putting her body in a sitting position she saw Zane looking out the window, stuck in that mind of his.
Standing on her two legs she let out a breath she was holding for a while, as she went to speak Zane turned around to face her, no emotion lingering on his facial expression.
"Don't say anything, I remember what happened. Now, I want you and your Ysellians to leave my kingdom.Never come back, and never even mention this place.I am sick of you and them, that's all.Grab your things and leave," he spoke bitterly as she stood in front of him, raising an eyebrow for him to continue talking. "Don't look at me like that,"
"Like what?" Y/N whispered, leaning closer to him as her smile was seen in his piercing eyes; his pupils became bigger as she put her hands on his chest gently. "I can't look at you like I love you?"
"No, because you don't love me." he replied in a whisper, his voice losing power as he looked at her with these delusional loving eyes.
"Mhm, and how can you prove that? What makes you think I don't love you?" Y/N asked, feeling her heart slowly break in two as she still stood in front of him, waiting for an answer. "As much as I can remember clearly, you followed me in that portal Zane. So, why is it my fault if we ended up there?" she whispered.
Zane sighed as he stayed silent, just looking her in the eyes.
Y/N's eyes slightly widen as she frowned, taking a step away from him slowly and sadly. "You're scared to love someone, aren't you?" she mumbled, looking at him with a piercing gaze.
"Gah, stop looking at me like that!" he exclaimed turning his head away from her."And no, I'm not afraid to love someone."
"Prove it." she said standing in her full height, her courage waking up after a very long time, but it was fading quickly when it came to him.
"What?" he glanced at her with confusion written all over his facial expression.
"Zane, I know you love me." Y/N said sweetly, her heart beating faster as the next words left her lips, "Prove you love me.Kiss me."
Zane's eyes widen as he stared at her speechless, his mouth dropping open behind his mask.Y/N folded her arms on her chest, taking deep breath as she waited. After a bit, Zane took a step closer to her, ignoring his heartbeat echoing in his mind.
Y/N stared at him officialy terrified if he was going to kiss her, it was years since he did the first time.Seven years to be exact. Her heart pounded off her ribcage as her breathing became short and uneven, meeting his eyes in a loving graceful way.His hand on her cheek and pulling his mask down, they both leaned in, savouring this sweet moment.Y/N wrapped her arms around his neck to make the kiss deeper as Zane picked her off the ground.Pulling away Y/N stared at him, hiding her blush behind her H/C H/L hair.
Zane put her back on the ground and he moved her hair away, "Where did your courage go?You told me to kiss you," he teased her.
"S-shut up!" she exclaimed, hating the nervous stutter. "But I still win! This proves you love me!" she said cheerfully, her wide smile shining in Zane's eyes.
"Nothing is proved until I say it," he said, taking guard of his obvious feelings.
"Your actions say enough," she smiled, leaning in and kissing him again as he pulled her closer, smiling slightly.
Sadly, you never know who is watching.
"So naive, so stubborn Y/N." Makaya whispered in his signature raspy voice as he watched from the distance, waiting for the right timing to ruin it all; yet deep inside, he felt slight guilt and shame.
