Chapter Fifteen

Targ jerk forward and then started to shake Mark awake. Patience was shocked as she watch the urgency of their actions. She jumped when Mark jumped, blinked, and then bolted to the door. Targ was running after him. Neither wasting a second.

"Get everyone to his place. That's where she was taken after the bank!" Targ yelled out as he ran down the hall after Mark.

Patience grabbed her earpiece and turned it to all channels. "Patience here. There's been a development. All available to Mark's residence. Dawn's whereabouts have been discovered."

"All available mobilizing now."

Patience turned off the stove and ran out onto the balcony jumping off immediately. Soon she was joined by Angel Kat, Parro, Angelic, and Sky. They flanked behind her and let her take the lead. Angel Kat supplied the quick winds to hasten their travels.

She looked below her and saw Mark's car and how it was speeding. The top was down and Targ standing up so the cops could see him. They didn't need the cops to try to pull them over. They needed speed on their side.

Dawn woke to a sharp slap in the face. She felt sick as she found herself on Mark's bed and Nicholas was raping her again. He held her face tightly so when she came to, he was the first sight she saw. Something she really didn't ever want to see.

She tried to look away, but he jerked her head back to him sharply. She had no choice but to look at him as he grew harder and went faster. Pain shot through her with every thrust. Her cheek burned from the slap and was worse with his tight grip as his fingers dug into her skin.

She took some comfort in knowing that Mark was on the way. She just hated that he would come to find this perversion. He didn't need to see this. She didn't want this perversion period. Especially when it hurt so much.

To Dawn's amazement, she felt her muscles start to move. She shifted them using her power to alter reality. She change the paralytic into adrenaline. She felt the burst of energy course through her veins. Any pain she was feeling was taken away.

In a swift movement, she pushed Nicholas off her. She watched his shock face as flew through the air before he smashed into a wardrobe across from the bed. Black painted wood splinters went flying everywhere. His body slid down and thudded in front of the mess.

He snapped his head up wiping the dust off his jacket. "You're stronger and more powerful than I thought. You should have been still paralyzed for three more hours based on my tests on myself." A trickle of blood crept down the side of his face from a small cut near his hair line.

"You will never know."

He slowly stood up. "Oh really. And why's that?"

The front door banged open and Mark came in, grabbed Nicholas, and slammed Nicholas against the wall. Mark looked like he was out for blood and so ready to carve it out from Nicholas' hide. This was the first time he felt this kind of rage.

Dawn felt her legs buckle underneath of her as the adrenaline burned out quickly. Everything injected in her burns at an accelerated rate. Thankfully arms held her up so she didn't fall. She looked toward the one holding her. Targ smiling slightly to her as he shifted her and lifted her up into his arms. He moved them both away from the two who were at the wall fighting. It was a knock out drag out type of fight.

Suddenly Targ had to drop Dawn's legs and catch Mark with his now free hand. All three were slammed into the far wall with a grunt. Dawn found herself on top of Mark who smiled but then that faded as he snapped his head back to Nicholas who was smirking.

"You have no idea what I can do boy-yo. I've had half a century to understand what happened. You can't stop me. You could only help to delay me. But you youngster, you can be stopped permanently." Nicholas smiled devilishly as he charged at the three.

Dawn held herself around Mark who tried to get her off him. She waited for the impact, but none came. She heard metal breaking into pieces. She wasn't expecting that sound at all.

Then she realized someone was over top of her. She turned her head and looked over her shoulder. Targ had shielded them from Nicholas. She could see relief in his face. Relief to protect them she could only assume. That his actions spared them from anything else.

She didn't know him, but he was protecting her. He help Mark get into her dream. She had lost hope in men through years of living alone like she had. Now she was being showed there were men out there who were good at heart. Those she thought only existed in the stories she read growing up reading.

Flashes of shadows passed by her view a second after she heard the metal breaking. There was a small scuffle and then Nicholas was screaming for someone to get off him. That Dawn was rightfully his. He continued to screech as people were pulling him out of the room.

Targ moved from on top of Mark and Dawn. He was going to leave the two to reunite. He stepped back and was about to turn when he noticed blood on her dress. His eyes grew wide as he knelt back and rolled her off Mark. She had no strength to prevent him from doing that.

Mark saw the look on Targ's face. "What's wrong?"

"She has blood on the back of her skirt." He noted that the front of her wrap dress was loose. Her eyes looked unfocused and her skin starting to pale. "Dawn!" He tapped her cheek snapping her momentarily out of her drifting. "Where are you hurt?"

Her eyes fluttered for a second as she tried to concentrate on staying awake. "Low." Her voice was low as she was losing energy and fast. Her skin turning paler by the second.

Mark held her hand as he looked to Targ. "We need to help her."

Targ nodded as he shifted and saw blood on Mark's jeans knowing that that blood was Dawn's. He looked to the front of her dress. There was a large blood stain there too. He swallowed thinking about the fact that Nicholas rapes and could of hurt her seriously.

Targ looked at her face. "I ask you for your forgiveness, but I must see." His hand shook has he put it under her skirt and between her legs.

Mark grabbed Targ's shirt and jerked him back. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Targ held his hand up so Mark could see the blood that coated it. "She's blooding out between her legs. I had to check." Mark let go. "Call for an ambulance, she needs blood." Mark nodded.

Dawn opened her eyes to see Mark moving away from her. Targ got her attention. "When did he rape you last?" His voice full of urgency.

Dawn swallowed and licked her dry lips. "I woke to him on me. It hurt so much." Her voice was hard to force out. To form those words.

"You're bleeding out because he tore you inside. You'll need blood."

"They're asking for her blood type so they can send the right ambulance." Mark said desperately from the hall that lead to the bedroom.

"O negative..." Dawn's ability to remain conscious became depleted.

"Dawn!" Targ tapped her cheek again, but got no response. He checked her pulse and it was slowing. "Shit." He looked up to Mark who looked white himself. "Do you have an emergency kit?"

Mark nodded. "In the cabinet in my bathroom."

Targ raced to the bathroom and opened the cabinet. He retrieved the kit and got back to Dawn's side. He opened the kit and found a syringe. He uncapped it and drew back the light from his arm.

Mark stopped Targ from plunging the syringe into his arm. "What are you doing?"

"She needs some blood. Our blood instantly heals a person. I'm just going to give her a small amount of my blood as we are the same type. If I don't inject her with my blood, she'll bleed out fully and I doubt she will survive that. Her pulse is slowing as we speak."

Mark let go and Targ pushed the needle through his dark skin that it once was before he was made a creation. He filled the syringe only a third of the way before withdrawing it and letting his light back.

He turned to Dawn and felt her pulse. It was slow and growing weaker by the second. He grabbed a towel that was on the floor and covered her hips and thighs. Moving the dress away, he plunged the syringe into her abdomen area. He pushed the plunger hoping this would help her. He was just guessing because she was different from the normal people.

Before their eyes, the pool of blood didn't grow or move. It had stopped. Slowly to their joint shock that pool started to shrink. They watched as it crept back and her color came back to her. Targ still held her wrist and could feel her pulse strengthening. He felt relief.

His relief turned into awe as her pulse started to race. Her skin started to shimmer and glow. It began where Targ had injected her and spread out. Her skin took on the look of liquid gold of so many colors.

"What's happening?" Mark asked in awe.

"I don't know. That amount shouldn't have done anything but heal." Targ sat back.

As the shimmer reached her hair, her hair looked like they were the flames of a fire. Gold, ruby, and deep bright orange made up her hair. Mark couldn't help but touch it. It was soft and silky.

When the paramedics showed, she was starting to stir. They stood in the doorway in awe. One even fell to his knee as he felt like worshipping her.

Dawn opened her eyes and looked up at Mark whose breathe caught at seeing the emerald jewel like eyes. He could see that she was confused. Pulling her up to him, he just held her knowing this was what she needed right now. She held onto him breathing in his scent to sooth her.
