Merry late Christmas!

••••••••••••••••••••

Aurelia's POV

"I'm sorry, I'm ready" I rush out as I swing my hotel room door open

Bailey gives me a once over while Faith gives me a look of pure disgust.

"You're not seriously going to see Hanna like that, are you?" The brunette asks as she motions towards my outfit from last night

I roll my eyes at them.

I just want to see Hanna and make sure that she is okay.

"I brushed my teeth, that's better than nothing" I state going to walk out of my room

Bailey blocks me, pushing me back into my hotel room. I do not get a chance to argue before she is pushing me into the large bathroom.

"Great, now do everything else on the list" she replies back and closes the door behind herself

Ugh.

I bring my hoodie clad arm up to my nose and sniff it.

Okay.

Maybe they have a point.

-

After taking a quick shower Faith knocked on the bathroom door and handed me a stack of clothes which consisted of a royal blue hoodie, a pair of black ripped jeans and white high top converse.

When I was finished putting the clothes on she brushed through my tangled black hair and gave me a middle part, keeping my hair as wavy as possible.

"She's ready, B!" Faith yells from inside of the bathroom

I cover my ears from her loud ass voice, the bathrooms echo not helping the situation.

The brunette peeks her head into the bathroom only to smile.

"Way better," she praises

She glances down at her cellphone only for her eyes to widen as she scrolls up.

"Guys, we need to get this show on the road" she tells us

I furrow my eyebrows at the weird girl as Faith rolls her eyes.

"Babe, I think your dork is showing" the ash blonde girl deadpans

The brunette ignores the both of us and quickly ushers us out of the bathroom.

As I am exiting the bathroom I grab a small, blood red box and a black winter coat before following Bailey out of my hotel room.

Hanna's POV

"Are your pain levels still the same?" A random nurse asks me

She is smacking her gum in my ear, loudly might I add.

She is holding a clipboard, with all of my medical information on it, but she is not even writing anything down.

She is drawing a fucking dragon.

To put it simply, she does not care about her job.

If she does not care about her job why should I?

"I broke my ankle in two different places and got shot in the arm seven hours ago, what do you think?" I question numbly as I stare up at the nurse with a blank facial expression

She instantly tenses up and glances down at me with a surprised facial expression.

"You have a few people here to see you, we'll send them in soon" she tells me with a slightly panicked tone of voice

My tired hazel eyes follow her body as she retreats out of the hospital room.

Fucking ungrateful princess.

Does she not know how lucky she is to actually have a stable job?

So many goddamn Americans literally pray for a job with a steady income!

"Good afternoon, sweetheart" my mom greets me as she enters the room, my mother trailing behind her with a bandage and sling on her arm

I turn to face the two woman with the same emotionless facial expression that I gave the nurse.

They awkwardly take a seat beside the bed when I do not greet them back, much less smile.

"Listen, we understand that we may not be your favorite people at the moment, but we kept this from you to protect you" my mother tells me

I turn away from the two woman so that I am facing the white wall in front of me.

"How is withholding extremely pertinent information from me 'protecting me'?" I question

What if they did not get there in time?

What if something way worse were to happen and there were no witnesses?

I hear my mom release a sad sigh making my heart hurt.

"Have you noticed that as soon as you found out about what we do you have been a target, specifically from Ava and her mother?" My Mom questions me

I slightly tense up as her words hit me.

She is right.

If I would have never walk downstairs and caught Aurelia and Ava who knows what would have happened?

I could have lost her.

And the last memory we would have had together was me accusing her of lying to me.

I am such a bitch.

I turn to face the weakly smiling woman.

I bite my bottom lip as I try to hold in my sudden tears.

I almost lost the love of my life because of an overwhelmed, spur of the moment decision.

"You know, I was once like you," my mom pipes up again, a tear falling down her cheek

"A confused teenager in love," she trails off making me smile

I am unable to stop my flow of tears as they begin to fall down my face and drop onto my powder blue hospital gown.

"I later found out that the girl that I was in love with wasn't the girl that I originally thought she was, but my love never faltered for her" my mom explains

My mother glances over towards the woman and gives her a loving facial expression as my mom continues to smile at me.

"What are you saying?" I choke out in between small sobs

She laughs at this and reaches her hand up to wipe away some of my tears.

"Don't let her go because trust me," she pauses

My mom turns back to face my mother, smiling when she catches her in the act of shamelessly admiring her.

"You won't regret it" she finishes with a promising tone of voice

My parents and I talked a little more, just the standard 'how are you feeling' type of questions, before exiting the hospital room.

Aurelia and I do not have a perfect relationship by any means, but I should not have made the reckless, in the moment decision to break up with her.

She would never do anything to purposely hurt me.

On top of that, I should have tried to see this entire situation from her point of view.

Though I have barely any knowledge on 'gangs' and 'gang leaders', I should have at least tried my best.

It's not like this wasn't hurting Aurelia too.

She deserves an apology and I owe her one.

I am in the middle of searching for a television channel when someone knocks on the door. I verbally grant them access to come in only for the door to swing open and reveal my friends.

They came!

I give them a small smile since my eyes currently burn from crying with my mom.

"Hanna banana!" Bailey says enthusiastically as she enters the hospital room

My smile widens as she walks over to me and attempts to give me a hug.

"Careful, that's her injured arm!" Faith shrieks with a panicked tone as she motions towards my tightly bandaged arm

Bailey ignores her as she gives me a firm hug, avoiding my arm before pulling away and taking a seat beside my bed, Faith and Aurelia joining her.

I glance over to the black haired girl only to notice that she is analyzing my battered body with a worried facial expression that.

I feel my heart painfully constrict as a look of immense guilt settles itself in her grey eyes.

I awkwardly bite bottom lip and turn my attention back to Bailey and Faith.

"How much pain are you in?" Bailey asks me hesitantly, not sure if she wants to know the answer

"A fucking twelve" I state over dramatically as I motion towards the chart across from me that only goes to ten

She nods her head with a small laugh.

We all sit in an awkward silence, Aurelia and I taking sly glances at each other when we think the other isn't looking.

"Do you guys want something to eat, I think it's lunchtime?" Faith interrupts

She, not so slyly, elbows Bailey as she shoots up causing the brunette to stand up too.

I nod my head as I furrow my brows at them.

Why are they acting so weird all of a sudden?

"Great, I'll go get you a slice of your favorite pizza and I'll find something vegan-friendly for you" Bailey quickly pipes in as she points from me to the black haired girl

Before I have a chance to ask them why they are acting incredibly suspicious they are practically tripping over each other to exit the room.

"Fucking idiots" Aurelia mutters under her breath as the hospital door closes behind the two girls

I sigh, playing with the white sheet.

I should take this opportunity to apologize to her.

"We need to talk" I tell her

I am currently not looking at her so I have no clue what her facial expression resembles but I do know that I heard her breath hitch.

"Okay" she agrees with a vulnerable tone of voice as she stands up and walks over to me, taking a seat near my hip

I turn to face the worried grey eyed girl with a nervous facial expression.

"I want to start off by apologizing to you, I shouldn't have gone off on you the way that I did," I begin

"I should've gave you a chance to explain everything to me and try to see this whole thing from your point of view before making a final decision" I ramble out

She laughs at my nervousness making me cease all of my talking.

"No, it's my fault," she tell me

"I should have told you what I was involved with the moment that I realized you were my boss' daughter" she explains to me

I immediately shake my head.

"No, I shouldn't have made you feel bad for being involved with that stuff, it doesn't define you as a person" I interrupt

"But it is a part of me" she tells me lowly

I use my good arm to reach out and grab her cold one, which is currently resting on the bed, before interlocking our fingers together.

"I love you, when I say that I mean all parts of you, not just the good ones" I tell her with an honest tone of voice

She smiles at this, bringing my hand up to place a gentle kiss upon it.

"I love you too" she tells me with an honest smile

I smile at her.

She is too good to be real.

We suddenly separate when we notice the look that we are giving each other.

She is not mine anymore.

I made that quite clear two days ago when I found out her little secret.

"So, What does this mean for our relationship?" I ask her awkwardly as I begin to play with my hospital sheets again

"Actually," She says as she begins to pull something out of her pocket

I turn to face her only for my breath to hitch as she pulls a dark red box out of her coat pocket.

No.

She is joking.

"I want to give you this" she tells me

She pulls open the beautiful box only to reveal something even more beautiful.

Inside of the box is an silver infinity shaped ring.

Something so simple yet holds so much meaning.

"Aurelia, I-" I choke out hoping that this is some kind of prank

She chuckles at my reaction.

"I know that you're only fifteen, but this is a promise ring," she tells me

I look up so that my glossy hazel eyes are gazing into her light grey ones.

"Hanna, over the past five months of knowing you I can truthfully say that you will never cease to amaze me," she begins

I welcome the new round of tears with an internal hug allowing them to release themselves.

"Whether that be from your addictive smile, adorable facial expressions or interesting way of showing your appreciation and affection for those around you, you do it all with good intentions" she continues

"When I moved here I expected everything to be just like every other school that I have been to, boring and uneventful, but when my eyes landed on you I swore that I saw an angel for the first time," she informs me making me release another choked sob

"From there my feelings for you only grew until we were forced to work on that project in the library, that's when I one hundred percent knew that I was in love with you," she smiles with a reminiscent look in her eyes

"You had this hidden barrier radiating off of you that no one else matched, but when you finally let me in," she pauses for a second biting her lip

I bite mine too as I wipe away my old tears and allow new ones to fall and take their place.

"Fuck Hanna, I knew that there was no better angel for me," she whispers lowly

"So, I know that this is the worst time ever," she teases making me laugh at her

"But, Hanna Rose Wilder, if you except this ring I promise to never let you slip through my fingers again because this 'break' we had has been pure torture" she finishes with a slight fearful facial expression

I take my good hand and place it on her cheek, bringing her face close to mine before gently placing a passionate kiss onto her lips.

I feel her gently nibble on my bottom lip making me smile and I pull away from her, leaving my hand on her cheek.

"I hated you when we first met" I state, making her laugh at me

"How about now?" She teases, placing a peck on my lips

I roll my eyes at her silliness, smiling in the process.

I take the ring from the box and place it on my ring finger smiling at the perfect fit.

"Does that answer your question?" I tease back turning to face the amused black haired girl

Her grey eyes flicker up to stare into my hazel ones.

"I love you so much, princess" she tells me with a pure look in her eyes

My heart jumps with excitement at this.

I smile bringing her face close to mine again.

"I love you too, Kingsbury" I say before connecting our lips

We're both weirdos.

She just strolls in here with a promise ring and 'proposes' to me while I am laying in a hospital room.

I cannot say that I have ever heard of someone doing this before.

But I wouldn't ask for anything more.

No matter how promising it sounds.

Because Aurelia Kingsbury, and only Aurelia Kingsbury, is the person I willing gave my heart to.

And I would do it all over again.

The end.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Lowkey teared up while writing this.

Okay so I have been thinking a lot about this recently, if I made Isabella and Haley their own separate books would you read them?

They would be centered in the future though(Isabella's would be when she is entering sophomore year meanwhile Haley's would be a few years later when she is entering freshman year)

Edit 2: I am stuck on what book I want to write next because I am severely indecisive lol.

It would mean a lot to me if you could choose which concept below that you like better and I will make that my next book.

Option 1- This story is centered around two main characters, A twenty-five year old female president and a twenty-two year old party girl.

The party girl is having trouble 'growing up' and every is trying to get her to 'grow up' except the president. (You'll find out why in the book)

The president feels out of place and insecure since she is only twenty-five thanks to the older misogynistic men that she is forced to work with but she is not allowed to show that side of her so she hides it. (You'll get the details and statements in the book)

I am not going to tell you how they meet because it is a major spoiler but I will tell you that I got this idea from looking through all of Barbie's careers through the years.

I know that it is not realistic for there to be a 'twenty-five year old president' much less a woman but the book is fictional and I am so tired of seeing forty year old, misogynistic men ruling this country.

Option 2- This story is centered around a group of girls, three stressed senior high school students and an angel.

The angel is stressed because her parents are putting a bunch of pressure on her to go into a career of something that she does not want to do.

She ends up rebelling and taking a vacation to earth where she ends up receiving slight head trauma. (More information to come with the story)

Out of the three stressed teenagers one is naive and always distracted, one doesn't handle rejection or rude remarks too well, and the final one is addicted to coffee and just trying to get through the final months of school.

One of the girls runs into the angel and immediately helps her. (You'll find out the extent in the story)

I have never written something like this before. It is a mix of fantasy, because of the angels, and realism, because I want the seniors to have a normal everyday routine with nothing too extravagant.

So, those are the stories.

Please let me know which one you like more, thank you!
