"Ci what I tell you about all of that crying?"

"Leave me alone Twan!"

"Ci, babygirl what's wrong?" Twan asked me as he used his right hand to lift my chin up softly so that I was looking him in the eyes.

"It doesn't matter!" I cried while standing up and storming off into my bedroom.
I was an emotional wreck right now. I was on my period and being in high school with a bunch of jerks didn't make it any better. I wasn't popular but I wasn't a loner either. I was the in between crowd that hug out with everybody.

"Come on Ci what I tell you about this. Just tell me what's wrong so I can fix it?" My boyfriend of two years, Twan had asked me.

"I just want to matter that's all man!" I finally confessed to him. I've been battling with anxiety for a while and I've never told him. I hated to be judged and my home life wasn't any help either.
My mom acted as if she didn't even know who the fuck I was most of the time. Here I am at 18 years old, a senior in high school, and the black sheep of the family. I'm always the one that's talked about at family functions and I fucking hate it.

My mom treated all of my other siblings like they were GOD and I was treated like a damn outcast. Half the time I wondered if I was adopted with the way that she acted. I mean that lady never said anything nice to me. It was always do this and do that, not are you okay or nothing.

"Just move in with me Ci. Come on man. I done told you time and time again that you don't have to go through this shit. I love yo ass and I don't want to see you down because if this shit!"

"Okay. Just grab that bag and throw whatever you can in it. I want to be gone before she gets off work," I confessed as I went into my closet and tossed him the big nike bags I had in there.

"Fuck all that shit. I'll buy you everything that you need. Take this, because I know how much your granny meant to you. Is there anything else she bought you that you want to take?"

"Yeah, my MacBook and my beats that she got me for graduation. My mom doesn't even know so I keep it hidden," I confessed as I pulled it out of the top of my closet. Once I had that, I tossed into the Louis Vuitton bag that he had gotten me for my birthday last week. I never really asked him for much and I always told him whatever he buys me can stay at his home because my mom will either take it or sell it. Since I was 18 she couldn't do anything because I was legal now. It's not like she was going to miss me anyway.

After Twan grabbed my bag, we headed out the front door. I left my keys in the house and told my oldest brother I was gone. He didn't like the way our mom treated me and always told me that I should've ran away a long time ago.

I slide into the passenger seat of my boyfriends all black Ford F-250 as he shut the door. He put my bag on the bag seat then got into the driver side and started his truck. His pipes were so damn loud that I hated it at times.

"You hungry?"

"Not really!"

"Look here babygirl. You with me and now and I'm not going to let anyone hurt you. Ima head over to Juicy Seafood and get us some shrimp and crab legs. We gone head to the house eat, ima let you shower and take a nap while I make a run and then when I get back I have a surprise for you."

Instead of responding I just kissed him and sat back in my seat. The second he got out of the truck and locked the doors I broke down. I was so thankful for the dark tint on his truck and windshield because no one could see me in here. Before I knew it I was fast asleep.
