{Kiana}: Talking in her mind

Kiana: Normal talking

Sirin or a Herrscher talking

-Recap on the previous chapter-

Mei and Theresa were running again because they finally got a clue on where Kiana was even though they already met. They found a small bar in an alleyway as soon as they entered Theresa thought that they finally found Kiana but they couldn't see her.

Theresa: Where is she the tracker says that she is here

Mei: I don't know but I thought I saw something white over there

They went towards the direction and Mei saw that it was the same woman they saw in the cafe a few hours ago.

Mei: Principal looked is the same white hair girl we saw at the Cafe but why is she drinking wine she looks 18

Theresa: Mei not all young beautiful white hair girl is Kiana and if she wants to drink wine let her drink we're not their parents or guardians anyway

All of sudden they saw the white hair girl look at them and started running very fast.

Theresa: Wait a minute that is Kiana chase her Mei

Mei nodded and the two of them started chasing Kiana and whenever they were about to catch her they somehow lost her or she did some parkour stuff and they were either not flexible enough or just couldn't do it. Finally they lost Kiana after chasing her for 10 minutes straight. Both of them were tired and walked past a white hair woman. They thought it was Kiana but this woman had yellow eyes so they ignored her.

{Kiana: Phew luckily I rolled a d20 on stealth}

Sirin: How did they not noticed this is the third time

{Kiana: Idk but why do I feel like the Author is going to end the chapter right here}

Sirin: What Author?

{Kiana: Idk just a feeling but meh}

Author: I just fixed it 😢

Kiana waited for a few more minutes to make sure Theresa and Mei left before she left her spot and found a nice spot where she could see the moon in the beautiful night sky.

{Kiana: Big Sis have you ever wonder what it's like living on the moon}

Sirin: Idk but I felt like we're meant to be on a moon for some reason

{Kiana: Probably just your imagination}

Sirin: Yeah

-End of Recap-

Kiana stood still, gazing up at the moon. Its pale glow bathed the city in silver, making her feel, just for a moment, as if she were floating up there, weightless and free. The world around her faded, lost in the vast serenity of the night.

But reality pulled her back.

She sighed and turned away, stepping into a dimly lit alleyway. The quiet hum of the city buzzed faintly behind her, but here, in the narrow space between brick walls, the silence was almost suffocating so she decided to talk to Sirin as she thought of a question.

{Kiana: Wait a minute I wonder how would Bronya become the Herrscher of Truth)

Sirin: Idk your the one that did not allowed Cocolia to not take the gem of desire

{Kiana: Don't blame me your the one that supposed to remind and if Bronya never went to retrieved the gem of desire she should be here searching instead of helping Cocolia so where is she)

Sirin: Right behind you

{Kiana: what}

All of sudden Kiana hears a sharp whirring sound.

Her instincts flared, but the warning came a fraction too late.

A blazing blue laser shot past her, slicing through the air just inches from her shoulder. Kiana barely twisted out of the way, the intense heat grazing her jacket and leaving a scorched mark. She stumbled, landing against a stack of crates, her breath ragged.

Kiana turned around and saw a shadow of a figure that she recognised.

Kiana's eyes widened as a figure stepped out from the shadows. Bronya.

Her silver-gray hair swayed slightly as she lowered her weapon, her usual calm expression unreadable.

Kiana let out an exasperated breath.

Kiana: "Bronya?! What the hell was that for?!"

Bronya: "No reason"

{Kiana: Goddamnit why did I nerf myself or else I wouldn't need to dodged that at all}

Sirin: "Well because you felt lonely"

{Sirin: Hello readers if you're reading I would explain why Kiana nerf herself and the word I said out "Lonely" means. It is because Kiana's strength grew at an overwhelming pace, soaring beyond limits she never imagined. But with each new power she gained, the gap between her and the world only widened. She had reached the peak, the world sprawled endlessly beneath her she should have felt invincible. Yet, all she felt was solitude.

So an unbearable loneliness clung to Kiana like a shadow, it became a constant reminder that every step forward only pushed her further away from the people she once stood beside. Power had made her untouchable, unreachable. And so, she made a choice to weaken herself, to step down from the heavens, just to feel human again. So that's why Kiana nerf herself and Author I'm sorry for breaking the fourth wall again so I promise I totally won't break it anymore.}

Kiana begins to steadied herself, but she still feels the lingering heat of the laser that had nearly signed her shoulder. She exhaled sharply and shot Bronya an irritated glare.

Kiana: "Bronya I know your here to bring me back but I have one f*ck*ng question , why the hell did you have to attack me I nearly died."

Bronya: "Well because I know you wouldn't die and I can bring you back without worrying about you running away."

Kiana's eyes twitched.

Kiana: "You could've just—oh, I don't know—hand to hand combat instead of shooting out a laser? Or just use Chloroform gas? Literally anything other than firing a damn laser at me?!"

Bronya tilted her head slightly, her expression as neutral as ever.

Bronya: "That wouldn't have been as effective."

Kiana stared at her, processing the response.

Kiana: "...Are you serious?"

Bronya gave a small nod.

Bronya: Yes.

Kiana ran a hand down her face.

Kiana: "Bronya, I swear to god— "

She stopped mid-sentence, exhaling in defeat.

Kiana: "You know what? Fine. I give up complaining. Happy now?"

Bronya gave the smallest hint of a smile.

Bronya: "Yes."

Kiana groaned.

Kiana: "I can't believe this... My best friend is a menace."

Bronya blinked.

Bronya: "Incorrect. I am simply efficient."

Kiana threw her hands up.

Kiana: "Firing a laser to your friend isn't efficient, Bronya!"

Bronya remained unfazed.

Bronya: "You dodged, didn't you?"

Kiana opened her mouth to argue—then stopped. Her expression slowly twisted into sheer disbelief.

Kiana: "...Oh my god. You actually planned for me to dodge, didn't you?"

Bronya gave another small nod.

Bronya: "Correct."

Kiana stood there, dumbfounded.

Kiana: "Bronya... You're insane."

Bronya blinked again.

Bronya: "No. I am logical."

Kiana let out a long, exhausted sigh.

Kiana: "I hate how that somehow makes sense."

Bronya gave a small shrug.

Bronya: "Then my method was successful."

Kiana could only stare at her, completely at a loss for words.

{Kiana: Big Sis why did I befriend Bronya again}

Sirin: "Idk"

{Kiana: Oh right I know I could take this time to send Bronya to the sea of quanta}

Her eyes lit up with realization. A smirk slowly crept onto her face.

Kiana: "Hey Bronya, I can send you to the Sea of Quanta to save Seele."

Bronya: "...What?"

Kiana: "Right now. If you still want to save Seele, I can open the path. No more waiting."

Bronya's eyes widened slightly. For a moment, she stood still, processing Kiana's words.

Bronya: "You... you can do that?"

Kiana: "Yes."

A heavy silence settled between them. Bronya lowered her gaze, her mind racing. She had spent so long searching, fighting, chasing leads that always felt just out of reach. And now Kiana was telling her—it was possible. Right now.

Kiana: "I know this is sudden, but you don't have to think too hard, Bronya. This is Seele we're talking about."

Kiana's voice softened, her usual confident smirk fading into something more genuine.

Kiana: "If you want to save her, then let's do it. No more waiting."

Bronya clenched her fists. This was everything she had been working toward—so why did it feel so unreal?

Bronya: "...Then send me."

Kiana: "Alright. Brace yourself."

Bronya took a deep breath, her expression steady.

Bronya: "I'm ready."

Kiana raised her hand, energy crackling around her fingertips. A brilliant burst of light surged forward, swirling around Bronya, warping the space itself.

Kiana: "Find her, Bronya. Bring Seele home."

The light swallowed her whole—and just like that, she was gone.

Kiana stood there for a moment, exhaling as the last traces of energy faded into the night. She lowered her hand.

Kiana: "Good luck, Bronya."

That was what Kiana was thinking of how it would go but she was too lazy so she decided to just rush it.

Kiana: "Hey, Bronya..."

Bronya narrowed her eyes slightly, immediately sensing the shift in Kiana's tone.

Bronya: "What?"

Kiana: "Since you went through all that trouble to catch me..." She lifted a hand, fingers cracking with energy. "Why don't I return the favor?"

Bronya's eyes sharpened.

Bronya: "Kiana. What are you—"

Before she could finish, Kiana's palm opened, and a surge of raw power erupted around Bronya. The very air around them distorted as reality itself began to warp.

Bronya barely had time to react before the ground beneath her seemed to vanish, replaced by a swirling abyss of light and darkness.

Bronya: "Kiana—!"

Kiana grinned, watching as Bronya's form was pulled into the spiraling rift.

Kiana: "Bon voyage, my dear logical friend!"

Bronya reached out instinctively, but it was too late. In an instant, she was gone—swallowed by the rift to the Sea Of Quanta.

The alley fell silent, the aftershocks of Kiana's power slowly fading.

Kiana dusted off her hands and exhaled.

Kiana: "Welp. That takes care of that."

Sirin: "Did you just yeet Bronya into the Sea of Quanta?"

{Kiana: "I sure did."}

Sirin: "...Respect."

Kiana crossed her arms, staring at the empty space where Bronya had just stood.

Kiana: "Good luck, Bronya. Bring Seele home."

And with that, she turned on her heel and walked away, disappearing into the night once more.

Kiana walked out of the alley, stretching her arms behind her head as she took in the quiet night. The city lights flickered in the distance, neon reflections shimmering against the rain-slicked streets. A soft breeze carried the distant hum of traffic, a stark contrast to the chaos she had just dealt with.

{Kiana: Whew. That was more exhausting than I expected.}

Sirin: "That's what you get for being dramatic. You could've just told her instead of throwing her in like that."

{Kiana: "Yeah, but where's the fun in that?"}

Sirin: "Oh, I don't know—maybe the part where she doesn't start plotting your demise?"

Kiana smirked, shoving her hands into her pockets as she strolled forward. But despite her relaxed posture, her mind was far from at ease.

A thought crossed her mind.

{Kiana: "Wait... do you think she's mad?"}

Sirin: "Mad? Kiana, you YEETED her into another dimension. She's probably making a PowerPoint presentation titled 'Reasons to Strangle Kiana Kaslana' right now."

Kiana winced slightly.

{Kiana: "Ah. Right. Should've packed an apology gift."}

Sirin: "Yeah. Like a 'Sorry for tossing you into the unknown' fruit basket."

{Kiana: "Would that even work?"}

Sirin: "Doubtful. But hey, it's the thought that counts."

Kiana chuckled, but before she could dwell on it further, a familiar presence tingled at the edge of her senses.

Lightning.

A/N: Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that during the timeskip Mei managed to master the power of HOT.

She barely had time to react before a crackle of electricity lit up the sky. Kiana skidded to a stop just as a bolt of lightning struck the ground in front of her. It wasn't aimed at her—just a warning shot.

A voice, steady but filled with concern, called out.

Mei: "Kiana, please... stop running."

Kiana exhaled slowly. Of course, it was Mei.

She turned around to face her. Mei stood there, her amethyst eyes glowing faintly with power, but there was no hostility in her gaze—only worry.

Kiana forced a smirk.

Kiana: "Jeez, Mei, no 'hello'? No 'how have you been'? Just straight to guilt-tripping?"

Mei's expression softened, but she didn't lower her stance.

Mei: "You know we're not here to fight you."

Kiana raised an eyebrow.

Kiana: "Really? Because last time I checked, shooting lightning at someone isn't exactly a love tap."

Before Mei could respond, a blur of white shot down from above, landing with a surprisingly soft thud beside Mei.

Kiana raised an eyebrow.

Kiana: "Okay, what is it with you guys and dramatic entrances today?"

Theresa straightened up, adjusting her coat with a huff.

Theresa: "It was necessary. You have a bad habit of running."

Kiana crossed her arms.

Kiana: "Aunt Theresa? Did you really just do a superhero landing?"

Theresa dusted herself off.

Theresa: "Yeah you noticed it right"

Kiana: "Wow. Impressive"

Theresa sighed and she just remembered what she wanted to say.

Theresa: "Kiana, what's going on? Why are you avoiding us?"

Kiana hesitated. She wanted to tell them—to explain everything. That she wasn't just running aimlessly. That she had to make sure everything stayed the way it should.

But if she told them, it might change things.

And she couldn't risk that.

So instead, she grinned.

Kiana: "I appreciate the concern, really. But I still have things to do."

Mei took a step forward.

Mei: "Then let us help you."

Kiana's smirk faltered—just slightly.

That was the problem, wasn't it?

If she let them help, things might change. And if things changed, there was no telling what kind of future they'd end up with.

So she took a step back.

Theresa's eyes narrowed.

Theresa: "You're about to run again, aren't you?"

Kiana gave her an apologetic grin.

Kiana: "Oh, come on, you know me. Can't stay in one place for too long."

Mei clenched her fists, looking like she wanted to reach out—but she didn't.

Mei: "Kiana... whatever it is you're doing, please... don't shoulder it alone."

Kiana paused.

She wanted to say I won't. But that would be a lie.

So instead, she did the next best thing.

She winked and blew Mei a kiss.

Kiana: "Love ya, Mei-Mei~"

Mei: "W-Wha—!?"

Her face turned red in an instant, her brain momentarily shutting down like a crashed computer.

Theresa: "Mei?? Are you okay??"

Mei: "I—She—THAT'S NOT FAIR!"

And before they could react, Kiana took off.

A shockwave burst outward as she propelled herself into the air, landing on a rooftop before dashing into the night.

Mei, still frozen, blinked as she processed what had just happened.

Mei: "...SHE JUST FLIRTED AND RAN AWAY!?"

Theresa sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

Theresa: "This child is going to be the death of me."

{Sirin: "Oh my god, you actually flustered her. Respect."}

{Kiana: "Tactical flirting, Big Sis. Works every time."}

{Sirin: "You are so lucky I don't have a physical form right now, or I'd be ruffling your hair so hard."}

{Kiana: "Aww, you'd mess up my perfect hair? How cruel, Big Sis."}

{Sirin: "You're absolutely insufferable."}

{Kiana: "And yet, you're still here. Admit it, you love me."}

{Sirin: "...No comment."}

Kiana grinned as she disappeared into the night.

Theresa shook her head as she and Mei watched Kiana vanish into the distance.

They weren't going to give up.

No matter how far she ran—they would find her again.

And next time, Mei would be ready.

...Hopefully.

The cityscape blurred beneath Kiana's feet as she dashed across rooftops, the wind whipping against her face. Streetlights flickered below, their glow painting streaks of gold along the rain-slicked roads. She didn't slow down.

Couldn't slow down.

{Sirin: "You know they're gonna chase you again, right?"}

Kiana smirked, leaping from one rooftop to another with ease.

Kiana: "Of course. But a girl's gotta make 'em work for it."

{Sirin: "Right, because Mei totally won't hunt you down with the power of love and lightning combined."}

Kiana snickered.

Kiana: "Well, at least I'll go out in style."

{Sirin: "You're impossible."}

Kiana knew Sirin was worried because Kiana is currently weakened and she might get injured, even if she didn't say it outright. But this was how it had to be.

She landed on the edge of a high-rise, overlooking the vast expanse of the city. Her gaze drifted to the distant skyline, where the faintest hints of dawn began creeping over the horizon.

For a brief moment, she allowed herself to breathe.

The weight of her past, her future—it all pressed against her like an unseen force. She recollected all her memories from that timeline. Making sure if she was going down the right path and this time she will not lose against Kevin even though she can easily beat him now but she doesn't want to use her full power. And Kiana just remembered if keeping things on track meant she had to keep running?

Then so be it.

She heard the distant hum of approaching footsteps—far off, but getting closer. She had only bought herself a little time.

Kiana
