I feel pretty awful about this, but I need to drop this fic. I haven't updated in 6 months, and I haven't written a chapter since October. There was one way this fic was always going to go: The same route as the actual game. There isn't much to get out of this I feel, HOWEVER... I am making another Joe fic. I have an x reader planned as well as just a regular Joe-centric fic of him in the death game but that's as much as I can say for that one. Maybe I can get a vote in the comments for which one seems more enticing to start posting first? Please let me know I'm desperate.

I've been working on this fic since 2021. It started with the old version of it, ""What If?"" which was absolutely the worst dog shit thing I've ever written probably. That's my opinion I just really didn't like it and that's why I began rewriting it in the first place. However, it's been 2 years since I started rewriting it, and it's... not good either. Slightly better. Not good. In my opinion.

Maybe I'm crazy because I've been feeling insanely crazy recently and maybe my mental health is slipping from my grasp but trying to force myself to do a death game AU where the only thing that's different is that Joe's alive is very difficult. I've found that literally, all I've done is replace Sara with Joe. Joe acts like Sara, and these scenarios he's and the way he acts during them are the same way Sara acts, and I feel that it's very ooc, and I really do not want to start from scratch again, especially since I was never able to catch up to ""What If?"" In the first place.

Again, maybe I'm crazy.

Absolutely beautiful. Make sure you bless the author with every and any praise you can think of because this fic is truly a piece of art.

Anyway yeah. You will hear from me again. I am still working on my Alice X Reader, however, I think I'm going to change the title of it because I feel it's very inappropriate and might be part of the reason why no one reads it, but hey what do I nose (/ref).

I am also still working on my Shin X Reader. That has an end in sight. I might write the ending I have in mind and then maybe write an alternative ending depending on what happens in the real game.

But yeah. Unfortunately, I just can't keep doing this to myself. Like I said, comment which fic idea seems the most enticing, and that's what I'll start posting first. Thank you to those who've been here since the beginning, and those who haven't been here as long. If it weren't for this fic, I wouldn't have kept making stories in the first place.
