"Don't run around like what you do with me, okay? You might tire your halmeoni and harabeoji too much," Joy reminded Youngjae.

"Yes, eomma," Youngjae replied.

"It seems there won't be any problem with Youngjae getting close to his grandparents," Atty. Oh observed.  They were now in the elevator, on their way up to Minhyuk's office.

"Youngjae easily opens up to people, which sometimes worries me, but not in this case. I'm actually glad that he readily accepted Sungjin oppa's parents. I wish I could say the same when it comes to him and his samchon," Joy said.

"He's scared of him?" Atty. Oh asked.

"Not scared. More like, awed, I guess," Joy explained.

"Well, there is something imposing about the younger Yook," Atty. Oh agreed.

They got off at the twenty-first floor and went to Room 2103 where Minhyuk's office was.  Atty. Oh knocked once then opened the door.

"Good morning. We're here to see Atty. Lee. I'm Atty. Oh Hayoung and this is my client, Ms. Park Sooyoung and her nephew Youngjae," she said to Minhyuk's secretary.

"Atty. Lee is not here yet but the others are already in the conference room," the secretary said as she led the way.  They saw Wendy and Yeri already in the room as well as Eunkwang, Changsub, Hyunsik and Peniel but the Yooks haven't arrived yet.

"Oh! Where are halmeoni and harabeoji?" Youngjae asked, looking around.

"They're still on the way. They'll be here in a few minutes," Eunkwang told him as Joy and Atty. Oh went to the left side of the conference table where Wendy and Yeri are already seated.

"Are you okay? Sorry we couldn't be there yesterday," Wendy apologized, rubbing Joy's arm.

"Yeah, unnie. We couldn't find a substitute. Sorry," Yeri explained.

"It's okay. I understand. I wasn't really expecting anyone to come since it's a school day. Although I'm glad Irene unnie and Seulgi unnie were there," Joy said.

The door opened and Minhyuk strode in followed by Irene and Ilhoon, who were arguing, followed by Seulgi who was trying hard to stop herself from laughing.

"WILL YOU TWO STOP? You've been at it since we entered the building. If you don't, I'll lock both of you in the stockroom until you resolve your issues," Minhyuk threatened.

"She started it, hyung," Ilhoon said, earning a glare from Irene.

"I don't care who started it. I'm ending it," Minhyuk declared, silencing the two.

"What the hell did you do to make Irene hate you so much?" Changsub laughingly asked as Ilhoon sat beside him.

"I have no idea," Ilhoon said.

On the other side of the table, Joy and the others were also asking Irene.  "What was that all about, unnie?" Joy said.

"Don't ask," Irene replied.  Knowing Irene's temperament, they didn't push her to talk.

Hyunsik, who was previously chatting with Youngjae, now have his eyes focused on Seulgi.  Sensing that someone was staring at her, Seulgi turned her head towards his direction.

"Sikkie?" Seulgi said, her cat-like eyes widening in surprise.

"Hello, kitten. Long time no see," Hyunsik said lazily in his baritone voice.  Hearing the way they called each other, everyone's attention and curiosity is now on the two of them.

"You know each other?" Eunkwang asked.

"Of course. We were..." Hyunsik started to say when Seulgi cut him off.

"Classmates. At the university," Seulgi said.  Frazzled, Seulgi gave Hyunsik a nervous smile.

"Yeah. Classmates," Hyunsik agreed caustically, his eyes never leaving Seulgi's.  Everyone can feel the tension between the two.

"So you're a Psychologist, too?" Eunkwang asked Seulgi, trying to lighten the mood.

"Yes. I am. But I'm working as a Guidance Counselor right now," Seulgi replied.  Yeri was about to speak when Youngjae yelled as the door opened.

"Halmeoni! Harabeoji!" Youngjae said, running excitedly towards the door.

Mrs. Yook opened her arms to hug him while Mr. Yook ruffled the boy's hair.  Joy looked smugly at Sungjae who has just entered the room, as if to tell him, I told you I don't break promises.  Sungjae just smirked at her then went to sit beside Eunkwang at the table.

"Now that everyone's here, maybe we can we start?" Minhyuk said.

"Oh, we're not joining in the discussion. We're just here to take Youngjae out while you youngsters talk," Mr. Yook said, looking at Joy who smiled and nodded her consent.

"Halmeoni, can we get ice cream?" Youngjae asked as the three of them went out of the room.

"Of course. What would you like?" Mrs. Yook asked as she took Youngjae's hand.

"My favorite is vanilla. With lots of chocolate syrup and sprinkles on it," Youngjae declared.

"That's how your samchon likes his ice cream. And vanilla is his favorite, too," Mr. Yook said, holding the boy's other hand in his.

"Really? It's because vanilla is the best and it's much more delicious like that," Youngjae said.

"That's what your samchon said, too," they heard Mrs. Yook said as the door closes behind them.

"Shall we proceed then?" Minhyuk asked.

Sungjae and Joy spent the next hours discussing matters concerning Youngjae, with the others pitching in their opinions or advices.  The two agreed, disagreed and compromised on issues like Youngjae spending time with the Yooks, staying overnight or a few days with them, going on vacations, celebrating holidays and special occasions, etc.  They also discussed how to handle disciplining the boy should the need arises, and resolved that all decisions regarding Youngjae must be discussed between them and agreed upon by both parties.  Everything was going smoothly until Sungjae brought up the matter of Youngjae transferring school.

"No!" Joy firmly said.

"Why not? I just want to make sure my nephew attends the best school," Sungjae argued.

"YAH!" five angry female voices chorused, making Sungjae backtrack.  "Sorry. I meant, a bigger school," he amended.

"No!" Joy repeated.

"Again. Why not?" Sungjae asked.

"Because it would be hard on Jaejae," Joy said as she enumerated reasons similar to what Hyunsik mentioned to him the night before.  "We can discuss this again after he finishes elementary, but not now," she bargained.

"Okay," Sungjae conceded.

Joy was surprised.  She was expecting a strong argument from him and was prepared to fight.  I guess he's in a good mood today, she thought, deciding to take his reply at face value.  But not his hyung-deul. Well aware that Sungjae is more stubborn than a mule, his hyung-deul frowned at his quick agreement.  And knowing how his mind works, they know there is something deeper behind it, and so they waited for him to drop another bomb.  They didn't have to wait long.

"I'm assigning bodyguards to watch over you and Youngjae," Sungjae calmly said.

"What?! No! No bodyguards," Joy strongly refused.

"Okay. Then you move into my house," Sungjae declared.  All eyes turned to Sungjae.  His hyung-deul looked at each other, silently thinking, there's the bomb, while Joy just kept on shaking her head in denial.

"I've been at your house and I don't think it's a safe place for a woman and a child. Your apartment door doesn't even have a peephole. Plus, you sleep on the couch in the living room because there is only one bedroom, while I have several rooms in my house. And don't even get me started on the location," Sungjae said.

"You're over-reacting," Joy accused him.

"Are you saying that it's safe there? That no break-ins or anything like that has ever happened? Not even once?" Sungjae challenged her.

"Well..." Joy faltered.  She would be lying if she says no, so she kept quiet.

"See? You can't even deny it. I compromised on Youngjae's school, now it's your turn. It's either the two of you move in with me or I send those bodyguards. You choose," Sungjae said, giving her an ultimatum.

Joy turned to her lawyer, unnie-deul and Yeri for help.  "I'm sorry, Joy, but we're with Sungjae on this. You know we've been after you to find another place," Irene said, speaking in behalf of their other three friends.

"But why your house? Can't we just stay somewhere else?" Joy asked him, trying to find a loophole.

"Are you asking me to buy you a house?" Sungjae replied bitingly.

"No! Of course not! I mean, we can live elsewhere. Like your parents' house, maybe?" Joy suggested hopefully.

"They live almost outside the city. It's much farther from your school compared to mine," Sungjae rationalized.

"It's okay, Joy. He practically lives in his office anyway so it would be like having the house to yourselves," Ilhoon said, encouraging Joy to agree.

"Yeah. He barely stays there even on weekends," Peniel added.

"Fine," Joy finally conceded after a moment of consideration.

"I'll send a moving team tomorrow," Sungjae said.

"Not tomorrow. Next Sunday," Joy bargained.

"Saturday," Sungjae said.

"Agreed," Joy said.

After dealing with the remaining issues, they finalized everything.  Both Minhyuk and Hayoung will meet with Judge Park Misun on Monday to submit the copy of the agreement to be notarized.  They piled out of the conference room and transferred to Minhyuk's office.  Joy and Irene thanked Hayoung, who left after shaking hands with Minhyuk.

Wendy approached Minhyuk who was organizing the documents in a folder.  "Atty. Lee. Thank you for making a fair deal for Joy," Wendy said, offering her hand for a handshake.

Minhyuk took it then raised his head to look at her.  Today was the first time he met Wendy, and he was dumbstruck to see her pretty face up-close.  Breaking out of his trance-like state, Minhyuk realized that he was still holding Wendy's hand.  "Oh, uhm, it's nothing. It's my job and she's Irene's friend," Minhyuk said, abruptly releasing her hand.

"You look too happy watching them. You think they're a good match?" asked Peniel, sidling up to Yeri, who was watching the two with a secret smile.

"Well, yeah, I do. And I would love for my unnie-deul to finally have a lovelife," Yeri replied, recovering from her surprise at Peniel suddenly appearing beside her.  Peniel nodded in agreement.

In another part of the room, Hyunsik was talking to Seulgi.  "After all these years, are you still avoiding me?" he asked her.

"No. Of course not," Seulgi said.

"Of course not," Hyunsik echoed sarcastically.  "Then talk to me," he dared her.

"I am talking to you," Seulgi said.

"You know what I mean, Seulgi," Hyunsik said in a low voice.

"I don't think this is the right time or place to talk about that, Sikkie," Seulgi said, her pet name for him easily slipping out from her lips.

Hyunsik snickered.  "Sikkie? Wow! No one's ever called me that in years. Sooner or later you'll have to talk to me. I prefer it to be sooner. As in, today," Hyunsik told her before walking away.

And I prefer it to be never, Seulgi said to herself, walking up to where her friends are, giving Hyunsik a last glance.

"What the hell is going on with our bros? It's like they were seeing girls for the first time," Changsub said to Eunkwang.  They were both casually leaning against Minhyuk's desk, quietly observing the scene before them.

"Well, seeing that we're the only ones who are committed, I'd say they finally found their matches," Eunkwang said.

"Oh, I'm going to have so much fun watching and waiting who will fall first," Changsub said, grinning like a lunatic, fist-bumping with Eunkwang, as they watch Sungjae walk up to Joy.
