"Are you sure?" he asked, a hint of skepticism in his voice.
"Positive. If you feel that strongly, you don't want to leave anything out of reach," I replied, swallowing the urge to tell him that I thought that he was cute. He needed me to focus right now, and the last thing that I wanted to do was ruin our friendship before it even had a chance to begin.
"Fine," he sighed. "I'll call her after we're done talking. Your turn. What's on your mind?"

I was shocked. "Oh, I didn't realize that this was a share circle type of situation. I thought that I was going to help you, and then we'd be done."
"That sounds like a one-sided friendship," he chuckled. "Spill. I know something is going on in that pretty little head of yours."
I sighed as butterflies fluttered around in my stomach. "You're right. This whole move has really killed me. I've met so many people. Don't get me wrong. Everyone has been so nice, but I feel alone. Is that weird?"
"That's not weird. You're living in a content house with other creators, but you don't automatically just become best friends with those people," Jaden replied.
"Were you friends with the guys before you moved into Sway?" I asked.
"Yeah, I guess I was."
"See, I don't have that. I literally didn't know any other creators before today. I had talked to Thomas before, but we had never met."

"Hey, that's okay. Addison spoke really highly of you, so it sounds like you're already on the road to a pretty good friendship there," Jaden mentioned.
"Wait, when did Addison talk to you about me?" I asked, confused.
He laughed. "I called her a little bit ago to get your number."
"Oh," I said, confused on why they talked about me long enough for Addison to be putting a good word in for me.
"What else is going on?"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You sound like there's something else that's bothering you," he said. "The intonation of your voice changed."

I chuckled. "Well, I met a lot of people today. There was this guy, and I'm really curious about him, and I think I might be interested, but I don't know since I just met him today. There's this other guy, too, and he's already expressed that he's interested, but I just don't know if I am."
"You've been here for less than a day, and you're already in a love triangle? That's juicy. Who are the guys?" Jaden asked.
"And that's where we end this part of the conversation," I stated. "Thanks for calling, Jaden. If you need anything, you can call me."
"Wait. We're just gonna speed past the love triangle? Come on. We're about to be brand new best friends, and you don't even want to tell me?"
"Let's make a deal, Jay. When I figure out what I'm doing, I'll tell you who they are. Deal?" I proposed, sighing.
"Deal. I'm gonna hold you to that, Jenni. Sleep tight."

I hung up, laying back down on the bed. There was no way that I could ever tell him that he was one of the guys that I had just described. He was clearly in love with Mads, and I was not about to get in the way of that. Besides that, I had no idea what I was going to do.
Nate was sweet, but I didn't know if I could see myself actually being with him. He had already made it clear that he wasn't interested in anything temporary and hidden behind closed doors.
I weighed my options, and it became increasingly clear that Nate was the obvious choice. He wasn't hung up on an ex-girlfriend. He had introduced himself to me when we met. He made it known that he was interested, and he didn't hide his intentions. What was I so afraid of?

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in!" I yelled.
Addison opened the door slowly, and she and Larray came in, shutting the door behind them. "Hey, Jenni."
"Um, hey, guys. What's up?" I said, a confused look crossing my face.
"Well, ma'am," Larray began, "we saw Mr. Wyatt leaving your room. He looked flustered."
I felt a blush creeping over my cheeks, but I decided to feign confusion anyway. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I must have been downstairs or something."
"Okay, whatever. We both just talked about how Jaden called me and asked for your number. Is there anything that you would like to talk about?" Addison replied, ignoring my blatant lie.

I sighed. "He called and wanted to talk about Mads. Like I told you earlier, he just wants a friend that's neutral on the situation."
Larray flopped down onto my bed as Addison spoke again. "Are his intentions malicious?"
"Okay, that's ridiculous. We're just friends. We literally met today. You were friends with him before I even met him. Do you think he has ill intentions?" I replied, looking back and forth between her and Larray.
"No. I guess not," Addison sighed. "What happened with Nate, though?"

"He came in here to see if I was okay. I kissed him. Things started to escalate, but he stopped and said that he didn't want to just mess around. When I told him that I didn't know if I could commit to anything serious right now, he left the room. That's literally it."
"Bitch, are you serious?" Larray said. "Didn't I warn you about that man this morning?"
I laughed. "I know. Sorry."
"I'm glad that you're making friends, but please promise me that you'll remember to put yourself first," Addison murmured, sitting down on the other side of me. "The social media world can be cruel."
"You got it. I'm gonna head to sleep now. Thank you, guys," I replied, wrapping an arm around each of them and pulling them into a group hug.

They left the room, and I changed into some shorts and an oversized t-shirt, climbing into my bed. The whole day had been wild from start to finish, and I could only hope that everyday wouldn't be like this.
