We were almost back to base. I glanced up when I heard the sound of a helicopter above. An old car was being carried by a rope. The helicopter then dropped the car into the roof of a nearby abandoned warehouse.

"BlueStreak, recon," Optimus said.

I followed him to the warehouse. He transformed and so did I. We listened for a few moments, hearing muffled screams and finally Megatron's voice.

Ah, scrap. He's back.

Optimus broke through the stone roof. I followed and attacked the Cons. The humans escaped the building as I fought the Con known as Starscream.

"I don't think we've officially met yet. I'm Blue," I introduced myself.

"I don't care," he replied.
Wow, rude much?

He shot at me, but I dodged it and countered by swinging my sword at his arm. Unfortunately, he dodged my attack. Out of the corner of my optic, I saw Optimus push Megatron out of the building. I followed after them and saw Megatron drive off with Starscream following. Optimus transformed and let Sam jump in. I transformed too and followed him to the nearby forest.

When we got there, the Cons had already transformed. As I transformed, I launched myself into the air and tackled Starscream. I quickly took out my sword and stabbed his shoulder. Another Con by the name of Grindor tackled me before I could retrieve my sword.

"Decepticons!" I heard Megatron call.

I saw Starscream and another Con go to Megatron, but Grindor kept me pinned.

"Autobots!" I heard Optimus call.
"Get off of me, you hunk of scrap metal!" I said.

I started to get worried that Optimus wouldn't be able to handle the three of them. Grindor just smirked and held me down. He was a lot stronger than I was, but I still kept trying to free myself. I then watched in horror as Megatron stabbed and shot Optimus through the chest. He fell to the ground and didn't get back up. I barely noticed the tears running from my optics as anger started to overtake me. I managed to grab my blaster and quickly shot Grindor's head off.

I shoved the hunk of metal away and stood up. Blinded by rage, I full on tackled Megatron.

"You're going to regret the day you were ever built!" I yelled angrily as I stabbed him in his torso.

"Arg! You're next," Megatron replied.

He then shot me in the torso before shoving me off. I lied on the ground as searing pain shot through my body from getting shot at a very close range. Megatron stood up and towered over me. I tried to at least sit up, but I couldn't. The rest of the team got here just in time. They attacked and as soon as Megatron was busy fighting again, StarCatcher came over to me. She took out the spare metal and the torch she had in her med kit and started to fix me as best she could for the time being.

She looked at Ratchet and I saw him shake his head. I struggled to hold back more tears.

"Can you stand?" Star asked.
"Y-yeah," I replied.

I managed to stand up, even though it hurt so much that it felt like Cybertron had fallen on top of me, making me wince. The only thing that kept me going at this point was revenge. I learned as a kid that revenge never solved anything, but right now I didn't really care. I picked up my sword, ready to get back in the fight.

"Decepticons, retreat!" Megatron ordered.
They transformed and left.
"Cowards," I mumbled as I put my weapons away.

I turned back to Optimus, fighting back tears. Bee, of course, noticed. He came over and wrapped me in a hug.

"I'm so sorry, sis," he whispered to me.

I had to close my optics to keep myself from crying. I didn't say anything, but I hugged him back. When we broke apart after a moment, he gave me a sympathetic smile before walking over to Star. I walked away from the group, far enough that their voices were quieter. I just stood and crossed my arms as I looked out across the land. A few silent tears fell down my face.

I can't believe he's gone. It's all my fault. I couldn't save him.

I closed my optics once again to try to calm myself down. However, I couldn't keep myself from thinking about all the times I could've told Optimus how I felt about him. All the opportunities I had that I didn't take just because I was afraid that he didn't feel the same way about me. Now, I would never be able to. I regretted not taking Ironhide's advice right away. I wished that I could go back in time so I could do things differently. After a few minutes, I opened my optics and realized that I was slightly shaking.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to see my brother again.

"Hey, you should come with Sam and me. We're going to head back to base and then tomorrow we'll go look for Simmons. I'll fill you in on the details later," he told me.

His usual friendly and playful tone had been replaced by seriousness and sadness. I took a deep breath and nodded in reply. We walked back to the rest of the group. A few more minutes pass by before Lennox and two carrier planes came to get us. I transformed and drove in one, along with Ironhide and my brother. No one said anything the whole way back. When we did get back to base, I drove out and transformed as two helicopters dropped Optimus on the ground.

Ironhide, Ratchet, Bee and pretty much everybot else formed a circle around him. I wanted to join them, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Besides, I knew Ironhide wouldn't let anything happen to Optimus and that Bee would stop him if he got too defensive. I sighed as I went to the training room. I took out my weapons and started attacking a scrap metal dummy as my mind thought about when my brother and I were little.

*flashback*
"Blue, where are mommy and daddy?" my ten-year-old brother asked.

"I don't know, Bee," I replied.

"I miss them. I want them to come home," he said as he started to cry.

"I know, I do, too. Don't worry, everything will be okay," I reassured him, trying to stay strong as tears threatened to escape my optics, too.

After he calmed down, I followed him to see Sentinel Prime, our adopted dad.

"Sentinel Prime!" Bee greeted happily, hugging his leg.

"Hey kiddo," was his reply.

He patted the top of my brother's head before walking away. He was rarely around, but I didn't mind. I understood why he had to be gone all the time. This war against the Decepticons meant that everybot, especially Primes, were extremely busy. Bee came back to me sadly.

"Don't take it personally. You know he's very busy," I said as I took my brother's hand in mine.

"Yeah, I know. It's just..." he started.

"Hey, look at me. We've only got each other right now, so it's important that we stay together, okay, little brother?" I told him.

"Okay, but we're the same age," he replied with a small smile.

I just smiled back before hugging him tightly. I knew that we're the same age, but I also knew it annoyed him when I called him my little brother.

"Yeah, I know. Come on, how about I read you a story?" I asked him.

"Yay! Can you read Hidden Secrets?" he asked as we walked to the Archives.

"Of course," I replied.
*end flashback*

I sighed as I took a break from training. I sat on the bench just as Ironhide walked in. He sat next to me and without saying anything, he put his arm around my shoulders. I looked at him sadly and I swear to Primus I saw a single tear fall from his optic. I dismissed the thought for now and rested my head on his shoulder. StarCatcher was my current best friend, but Ironhide was a good friend of mine, too.

"What do you get when you cross Megatron and a phone?" Ironhide asked after a minute.

"I don't know. What?" I replied.

"A megaphone," he said, making me smile at his joke.

"What kind of Cybertronians do crows like?" he asked after a moment.

"Um...I don't know," I replied.
"Decepti-corns!" he answered.

I smiled and giggled. Ironhide can always cheer someone up with his jokes, though he has only shown his humorous side to Lennox and me. Around the others, he always acts as the tough, unshakable one. He and Lennox are inseparable, similar to Bee and Sam, but perhaps even closer. As the human saying goes, they're two peas in a pod.

I stayed in my room until everyone had gone to sleep, which was about 10:00 pm. I walked out and quietly made my way to the hangar where they were keeping Optimus. When I got there, I broke down and fell to my knees beside him. All the tears I had been holding back now ran down my face.

"You have no idea how much I regret not telling you this sooner," I started after a few moments, "I was afraid to tell you because I didn't think you felt the same way about me. Ironhide even suggested that I told you, but I didn't and now I wish I could go back in time so I could. I love you, Optimus. I love you with all my spark."

I cried even more for a few minutes before continuing.

"This is all my fault. I should've stuck by your side instead of attacking the other Decepticon. If I could have another chance, there are a bunch of things I would do differently," I said.

"I'm so sorry," I added quietly.

I kissed his forehead then I rested my head on his chest. I kept crying softly until I fell asleep.
