Ben defends the attacks for a rather long time, but Acnologia's attacks seem endless. He eventually gets overpowered and his shield is broken. A blast is coming directly to him when his shield is broken and it will kill them all, so Ben raises his left hand to block it.
He blocks it, but he gets slammed into the destroyed cube and the impact is very big. Ben disappears from sight because he sinks into the ground. The others are also blasted by the impact and they all get injured, but no one died because of what Ben did.
However, it isn't the end yet as some blasts are still raining down on them. This looks like the end because other than Ben, no one there can defend these blasts. They are still not giving up though and they are preparing their spells to counter the blasts.
Then suddenly, the 4 Dragon Slayers stop their spell. It makes Gray confuses and he shouts at them to get their shit together. But they suddenly have tears in their eyes and their bodies glow before suddenly a streak of light comes out of each of their bodies.
All of them suddenly get covered by shadow and they all can now see 4 Dragons above them. The 4 Dragons then use their Dragons' Roars at the same time to counter Acnologia's attacks. They clear the blasts using the combination of their Dragons' Roars.
Acnologia looks at them with an angrier expression now and says just one word, "Dragons!"
The 4 Dragon Slayers also then say, "IGNEEL/METALICANA/WEISSLOGIA/SKIADRUM!"
The Dragons that have just come out are the Dragon Slayers' Dragon Parents. Igneel, Metalicana, Weisslogia, and Skiadrum. These 4 are the 4 Dragon Slayer's Dragon Parents who were assumed to be dead or disappeared.
"We'll talk later, there's something more important to do now," says Igneel.
"Help Lord Escanor's son first, we will face Acnologia," says Weisslogia before the 4 Dragons take off to the sky.
The 4 Dragon Slayers are still stunned, so they don't immediately do what their parents asked. It is Gray who moves immediately to take Ben out of the ground.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? HURRY UP AND HELP BEN OUT!" shouts Gray.
It wakes them up and then everyone except Natsu is digging the ground to take Ben out. Natsu's sight is still glued to Igneel who is facing Acnologia now.
"IGNEEL, YOU BETTER EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME NOW!" shouts Natsu.
Natsu's words anger Gray who then punches him in the face. "NATSU! IS ASKING FOR AN EXPLANATION MORE IMPORTANT THAN BEN'S LIFE, YOU BASTARD? IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HELP THEN SCRAM! YOU WON'T BE A PART OF FAIRY TAIL AGAIN IF YOU DO."
Gray continues to help the other 3 dig up the ground. Natsu grits his teeth before he finally helps them. But he still demands Igneel to give him an explanation later. Igneel just answers him shortly before facing Acnologia again.
The 4 Dragons are facing Acnologia together, but they can't gain dominance at all. Be it a physical or magical battle, Acnologia is still dominating them. He has slain numerous Dragons and sometimes faced many of them at once, so he can face the 4 of them.
"How unsightly. There are still Dragons left in the current era. I will slay all of you and eradicate every Dragon in the world," says Acnologia.
"Acnologia, what is it that you're truly after for you to go this far?" asks Igneel.
"What I want is the destruction of this world. I simply want to destroy everything," says Acnologia.
"Such a ridiculous reason. Then we will stop you," says Skiadrum.
Acnologia laughs when he hears that, "HAHAHA, YOU? STOPPING ME? You will die even before you can do anything to me in that half-dead state."
"If we can't stop you, then we will pass that job to the future generations," says Weisslogia.
"Hah, so you are relying on others, disgusting. One can only rely on oneself. A weak thought like that will only make you weak. Besides, who are the ones that can do that job? Those little Dragon Slayers are too weak, and the only one who has a real chance is going to die soon, so no one can stop me now," says Acnologia.
The Dragons look at the Mages below who have taken Ben out of the ground. His condition is really bad right now and his friends become speechless. Ben is still conscious and in his previous normal skinny form now, but he can't move because he has run out of energy.
His 22 days of deadly training that required him to not eat anything has taken a toll on his body. But that's not so bad compared to his current condition after blocking Acnologia's attack. Ben lost his left hand up to his forearm after he used it to block that blast.
The remaining parts of his left arm, left body, left neck and left face also get injured. His skin on those parts is torn and his left side is full of blood now. Even so, Ben's focus is not on his injuries, it's still on Acnologia.
His sight is blurry, but his gaze is still very strong and Acnologia can feel it. The 4 Dragons can also feel Ben's strong fighting spirit in such a condition. He is lying down with a battered body, but he still seems to stand tall & firmly now.
Igneel smirks and says, "What an incredible man. No wonder Lord Escanor passed his power to him without telling anyone. It reminds me of the fear I felt of the Lord when I was young. He has the same gaze as Milord and it sends a chill down my spine. I must admit, he is someone worthy to be Milord's successor."
"Yeah, although I still don't understand why Lord Escanor raised a human child and even sent him to this era. Also, if the Lord taught Dragon Slayer Magic to this young man, doesn't it mean that he is the 1st Dragon Slayer in existence?" asks Weisslogia.
"Don't bother to try thinking of what someone at Lord Escanor's level does and his reasons to do those things. We will never understand," says Skiadrum.
"Yeah, we better focus on the problem in front of us," says Metalicana.
The battle of Dragons continues and Ben is looking at it focusedly. His sight is blurry, but his other senses are still sharp. He can feel the magic power clashes, the sounds, and even the vibration in the air.
Ben can tell that the Dragons are fighting at a very close range. It's something that he will never do because he will get crushed by Acnologia. His physical stats are ridiculously high for a human, but they're incomparable to Dragons, especially Acnologia.
That problem is one of the main reasons his options in the battle against Acnologia are limited. He is quite jealous of the Dragons, but that doesn't mean he wants to be them. What he's envious of is their physical power, so he just needs to find a way to match that.
Ben can tell that the 4 Dragons are ganging up on Acnologia now. But they are struggling and still can't deal real damage to him. Ben doesn't find it strange at all because he can feel that the 4 Dragons are not in good condition.
Their auras are strong, very strong even that they don't fall short of Acnologia. But their magic power is weak for their levels and their life forces are even weaker. It's like they can just suddenly die even without Acnologia doing anything to them.
"OI, BEN?! WHAT HAPPEN WITH YOUR BODY?" shouts Gray with a panicked tone.
Ben's right body side is fully covered by golden scales. Draconic wing, horn, ear, eye, claws, and other characteristics also appear on his right side. It's different from his Dragon Force because it looks as if he is turning into a real dragon, and he is.

'Immediate action, you say? I can't even lift a finger right now. Fuck it! I can't even talk. How can I do something to stop this damn Dragonization process?' curses Ben in his mind without showing anything outside.
Ben's body is transforming slowly and the Dragon characteristics are slowly spreading to his injured left side. His friends try to find a solution, but they never saw this, so they don't know what to do. Even the Dragons above have noticed this too.
"Dragonization!? Hasn't he done something to it?" asks Metalicana in surprise.
"It seems whatever he did to stop it before has failed," says Weisslogia.
"What should we do? He will turn into a Dragon if being left alone," says Skiadrum.
Suddenly, Ben's body is covered by a green light that relieves his pain and even halts the Dragonization process. Everyone looks at the one who creates that light. It's a white Dragon with white fur & feathery wings.
Ben who gains a little energy smiles and says, "It's been a while, Grandeeney."
