"(Y/n)?", you jumped and looked back at Erza, "o-oh hey Erza" you stuttered, "everything alright?" she asked, sitting next to you, it was two in the morning and you were sitting outside the girls dorm building alone, "yeah... just can't sleep" you admitted, nodding weakly as you stared back out at the town. "Do you mind if I join you?" she asked, you shook your head and she sat closer to you, "thinking too much?" she asked, you chuckled weakly, "kinda, but it's always been like this" you said, "the not sleeping part" you added, letting out a small giggle at the end, "I understand, you should've said something sooner, I would've joined you out here more often" she said with a warm smile making your cheeks flush and body go hot at her kindness.

"O-Oh that's ok, you should get your rest" you stuttered embarassedly, she smiled, "it's alright, youre important to me" she said, rubbing her nape, "you cant say things like that" you said as you started to sweat, fanning your oversized t-shirt, she just giggled and rested her head on your shoulder, "next time you can't sleep just come to my room, it's easier to fall asleep next to someone than alone" she mumbled, you smiled at her kind heartedness and looked down at her. She was exhausted and she was gonna pass out any minute, you helped her up and basically carried her back to her dorm room, when you got ready to leave she grabbed the hem of your shirt, making you stop and look back.

"Stay..." she mumbled, you chuckled quietly and sat down on the side of the bed, "lay" she muttered tiredly, her eyes still shut, you slid under the covers and laid beside Erza, she wrapped her arm around you and rested her head on your shoulder. "You know... I like you..." Erza said sleepily, you thought you didn't hear her right, "what?" you asked, she had already fallen asleep, you thought about it, did she say she liked you? Did you actually hear that right or were you imagining things? In the end Erza was right about one thing, it was easier to fall asleep next to someone rather than alone, and despite your aggravating insomnia, you were able to fall asleep with Erza right beside you.

The next morning you had woken up before Erza, and you went to treat her with breakfast as a thank you for letting you stay in her room, strawberry pancakes, you were in her kitchen cooking when she woke up and stumbled tiredly into the kitchen. "Hi (y/n)" she said, shocking you and making you jump, accidentally burning yourself on the pan, "ow" you mumbled as Erza rushed to your side, you created an ice cube with your ice magic and pressed it against your finger. Erza grabbed a bandaid and wrapped it around your finger while simultaneously half asleep, "thank you" you told her, she smiled and gave you a hug, "hi" she said quietly, "you already said that" you giggled, "stay here with me today?" she offered, "why are you acting so weird?" you giggled shyly, putting the pancakes on the plate for the two of you.

"Didn't I tell you last night?" she asked, locking eyes with you, "tell me what?" you tilted your head, "I like you silly, I want you to stay with me" she said, putting her head on your shoulder, you covered your mouth where she couldn't see you and mentally were screaming with excitement, "right... of course" you said calmly, "I know you're happy" she mumbled making you laugh, she did too, "come on... let's eat and go back to sleep" you told her, happily the two of you ate breakfast and went to lay back down in bed. "How long have you liked me?" you bravely asked her, "mm... a few weeks" she admitted, "I've been too nervous to tell you, thought you'd see me crazy" she added, you laughed, "crazy... I thought the same thing" you told her, "glad me being sleepy got me to admit it" she muttered making you nod.

"Get some more sleep Erza" you told her, "will you be here?" she asked, "I'll be right here when you wake up, and I always will be from now on"

"Promise?"

"Promise."
