The night had passed by rather quickly since we arrived and to my liking, my own plan falling into place with each passing hour. The next day came and I made sure everything would be set when I was ready to leave with Hinata tonight.

Mr. Hyuga called me back in earlier to review the plans for tomorrow night, when we are planned to leave. The amount of times we've went over the plan was unusual and the instructions he had given added on to my suspicions. He gave a certain route, how many stops to make and where, and already booked a room at a hotel in one of the cities. Mr. Hyuga was usually never this precise and particular about the plan, but I can't be too sure. However, I can't trust him now that I've realized what's been going on.

With the few events that happened, I've started observing him much more closely and paying attention to my surroundings. I could be wrong, but I have a good feeling that Mr. Hyuga has been working with the Otsutsuki in his own plans. I'm not too sure with the exact details, but it definitely has to do with Hinata being the heiress. A business deal probably? I still need to figure it all out...

I had been training for most of the day, not only to pass time, but to become stronger, especially after getting stabbed. I need to make sure I'll be in the best shape possible in order to protect Hinata, she's my priority after all.

What the hell am I thinking?

I finish up my training in the backyard and I open the glass back door before entering the house. I walk past Mr. Hyuga's closed office door when I hear him talking, causing me to take silent steps to avoid making noise. I come to a stop by the wall, where he wouldn't see me under the door and listen to what he's saying. "Correct. Naruto Uzumaki will be taking my daughter tomorrow night as we discussed. They are leaving from House B and will be heading to the neighboring city, heading west." He explains to the person on the other line and I tense up. Who is he telling our whereabouts to? "Understood, I've reviewed the plans we discussed, so Naruto Uzumaki will be taking the exact route. You also have the room information when it's time to send in your men. They can do what is needed to get my daughter, but they cannot kill him as yet." My eyes widen as he discusses more and I start to walk away from the closed door.

If I'm hearing correctly, they plan to take Hinata and then kill me.

Why the hell would Mr. Hyuga let me take her if he plans on bringing her back? Who the hell has he been talking to? Was it that damn Mr. Otsutsuki? Were my suspicions correct after all? How long has he had this shit planned and why?

Questions filled my mind adding to my suspicions and confusion as I quickly made my way upstairs. I don't know everything, but what I just heard is enough for me to start moving on my own accord.

I need to get Hinata out of here as soon as possible.

I reach upstairs and I make my way down the hallway and to the room at the end, Hinata's room. I knock twice, before grabbing onto the handle and letting myself in. I shut the door behind me and I turn the lock. I then scan the room only to find no Hinata and I walk over to the bathroom where noise is coming from.

I listen as the shower water shuts off and Hinata hums to herself. I get closer to the door and I'm about to knock when she starts speaking, in a soft and barely audible tone. It sounds as if she's talking to herself and I roll my eyes until I make out her saying my name. "Naruto-kun..." She says again in the same soft tone and then mumbles incoherently, causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Why is she saying my name? I am caught off guard and my face starts to slightly burn. What is this weird feeling?

I quickly shake my head as I remember what I came to do and I grab the door handle before letting myself in. "Ms. Hyuga." I enter the bathroom and Hinata jumps before gripping at the towel around her tightly. "N-Naruto-kun?" Her face goes red and she quickly turns her back to me. "What are you doing in here?" She asks and I sigh. "You need to hurry up, we need to leave as soon as possible." I explain to her and she turns around with a confused expression.

"Why?" She asks and I sense worry in her tone. "I'll explain later, all you need to know right now is that we need to leave. My suspicions turned out to be right is all." I tell her before walking out the bathroom and then leaving her the room.

I start to walk down the hallway when I hear a door downstairs. "Naruto Uzumaki." Mr. Hyuga's voice is heard within the house and I tense up before heading towards the stairs. I quickly go down and then to his office.

What could he possibly want now? Does he know I heard him? What does he need to tell me?

I enter the office and I bow before him. "Yes Mr. Hyuga?" I greet him before looking up to see him closing a folder and putting it into a case. He turns to me and then crosses his arms. "I have something urgent to attend to, which I am leaving for in a few minutes. I will not be coming back, so you and my daughter will leave tomorrow just as we discussed. I'm leaving it up to you to protect her and follow through with the plans, since I won't be here." He starts to explain and I nod once.

"Once you leave tomorrow night, we'll be limiting contact again for safety purposes. I expect you to follow through with our plan, every step all the way to the hotel. Am I understood Naruto Uzumaki?" He asks, holding a serious look as always. "Yes, I understand Mr. Hyuga." I nod once and he grabs the case before walking. "You're dismissed then, I'll be leaving now. Make sure you inform Hinata of this too." He tells me before walking out the office. I walk out several seconds after and I watch as he leaves the house. I make my way back upstairs and back down the hallway I was previously down.

I enter my room and I go into the bathroom before stripping. I hop into the shower to wash up since I had been training earlier. After about ten minutes, I hop out the shower and I wrap a towel around me. I go into the room and I change into clean uniform. Once I finish, I grab my packed bag and I walk out of the room before dropping it in the hallway. I go into Hinata's room and she looks up from the bed she is laying on.

"Get your bag, we're going to leave now." I told her and she nods once before getting up. She grabs the bag at the side of the closet and walks over to the door where I'm standing. "Does my father know we're leaving?" She asks again and I sigh. "Yes Ms. Hyuga, I made sure to tell him everything. Of fucking course not, I told you this already." I roll my eyes and she frowns.

"Your father left not too long ago, he claims he had something urgent to attend to, so he wouldn't be back when we had to leave." I explain to her and she nods before smiling slightly, a blush coming onto her cheeks.

"So we're here alone Naruto-kun?" She asks me and I nod. "What do you think Ms. Hyuga?" I ask her annoyed and she pouts. "You're no fun when you want to be sarcastic!" She crosses her arms and I scoff. "I'm not supposed to be your form of entertainment Ms Hyuga, I'm your bodyguard." I tell her and she sighs before walking out the room.

"Whatever..." She mumbles and I tense up, but a smirk finds it's way to my face as I get an idea. I follow behind her and I grab her bag away from her before tossing it next to mine. I grab her arms and pin her to the wall and she lets out a gasp. "Wh-What are you doing Naruto?" She tries to pull away, but I hold her down before leaning down and placing a kiss at the base of her neck.

"I said to behave for me tonight Hinata."

I am back and I have updated after another long while of not writing! I really need to get my shit together...

This was the thirty-seventh chapter! How was the chapter?

I plan to write another chapter or two because I know where the book is going now. I can't say the same for my other books, but trust me, I really am trying.

I also felt bad for not updating that much over the summer, I think I only updated once... my bad?
