Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
I ram my head under my pillow in a desperate attempt to drown out the noise
Who in their right mind would be up this early in the morning on a Saturday?
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Enough!
I throw back the covers, storming downstairs. I spot the culprit immediately.
Dario is hammering nails into the wall.
"Excuse me, jerk, some people are trying to sleep."
Bang!
"Did I wake you, sleeping beauty?"
Bang!
"Yeah, kinda."
He grabs another nail.
"I was asked to do this."
Locating the perfect spot, he slams down the hammer again.
"By who?"
Bang!
"Zach and Kellin."
Bang!
"And where are they."
"Getting picture frames."
"Why?"
"To display memories."
"Can't you wait until later to do that?"
"Look, if you have a problem with the noise, jus-"
Dario stops midsentence as he turns around, his eyes raking over my body. I glance down to realize my attire.
A zebra print tank top and red plaid shorts.
I don't why this warrants the kind of look he is giving me.
Just because it doesn't match?
Is that the reason?
Even though my insides have turned to mush from the attention he is delivering to me, I still snap my fingers. When I successfully have his attention, I snap.
"My eyes are up here!"
I would say I'm relieved to see a blank expression, but not with Dario.
The only way to tell what Dario is thinking is through his facial expressions, and growing up around him, I have them all memorized.
Deep frown, sadness or displeasure.
Glare, annoyance or anger.
Calm, but still tense, exterior, anger.
Blank, that could mean many things.
Things l have yet to pin-point.
