1 and a half years later

"come in" avery lightly whispers as she hears a knock on the hospital room door. joe pops his head through the door and his face instantly lights up when he sees avery holding her newborn son in her arms, with aidan sleeping on the pull-out bed.

"congrats avery, he is absolutely beautiful," joe says as a smile begins to form on his face.

"do you want to hold him?" avery asks.

"me?" joe questions. "what if i drop him?"

"you won't j" avery laughs. "go wash your hands and you can sit down and hold him" joe walks over to the sink and washes his hands. he carefully sits down and avery places her newborn son in his arms.

"support his head, there you go" avery instructs. "do you want to hear his name?"

"yes" joe whispers.

"his name is jack joseph hutchinson" avery announces and the tears begin to form in joe's eyes.

"did you give him his middle name after me?" joe asks.

"i sure did." avery smiles. "you know, this little boy is going to need some guidance. he's going to need a godfather. aidan and i were talking, we would be honored if you were this little boy's godfather" avery explains.

"really?" avery nods her head yes. "i would love to" joe let's the tears flow.

"hey jack, your uncle joe loves you so much already" joe lightly kisses jack's head. "i'm going to buy you all the name brand stuff. you want cartier glasses, you got it godson" joe says taking in his sleeping godson in his arms.

2 and a half years later

"hi dad" avery smiles as she looks down at her two newborn sons.

"hi pumpkin" dan puts the 'it's a boy' balloon down and walks over to the cribs where his two new grandsons are.

"avery, they are absolutely perfect. i am so proud of you sweetheart" dan says.

"i wanted you to be the first to hear their names. that one is named lucas chase hutchinson, and that one is named liam daniel hutchinson" avery tells her dad. "i wanted one of my little boys to have your name somehow because you are the best dad ever"

"don't make me cry" dan laughs trying to draw attention away from the tears forming in his eyes.

"it means so much to me" dan walks over to avery who is on the hospital bed and gives her a hug.

"what's the big surprise?" ja'marr walks into the hospital room. "i wasn't invited to the hospital last time" ja'marr walks to avery who is now holding both boys in here arms.

"oh my goodness avery. they are so freaking cute" ja'marr smiles.

"i wanted you to hear their names before i announced it to the world" avery smiles. "this is liam daniel hutchinson and this is lucas chase hutchinson"

"i've never had someone give their child their middle name from me, i feel so honored ave" ja'marr looks at lucas.

"also, i want to make sure my little guy is ready for this world, he's going to need someone to help him. would you want to be his godfather?" avery asks.

"yes" ja'marr says. avery places lucas in ja'marr's arms.

"hey lucas, you are going to look so good in a ja'marr chase onesie my guy" ja'marr smiles.

"congratulations hutchinson family" jamaal says as he walks into the hospital room and walks straight towards the two babies in their cribs.

"thanks jamaal" avery smiles.

"can i hold one of them?" jamaal asks.

"here, let me give you your godson" avery picks up liam and carefully placed him into jamaal's arms.

"wait, you want me to be his godfather?" jamaal repeats.

"yeah, liam is going to need to have someone in his life who will teach him all about football. so aidan and i decided who would be better than the man who beat barry sander's touchdown record" avery explains.

"i feel so honored" jamaal looks at the tiny baby in his arms. "people usually don't expect me to be good with kids since i'm so crazy, but i'm actually great with kids. i mean my daughter turned out fine. so i think liam is going to be in great hands" jamaal explains.

"we saw how good you are with jack. he is constantly asking when uncle jamaal is coming over" avery laughs.

"well thank you avery. i'm so excited to be liam's godfather" jamaal kisses the top of avery's head.

2 and half years later

"avery, she looks just like you" kendall says as she walks into the hospital room. "you don't even understand how long i have waited for you to finally have a little girl"

"congrats avery" rodrigo walks in after kendall and gives avery a hug. he then makes his way to aidan and congradulates him.

"we wanted y'all here so you can hear her name" avery says. "i'd like you guys to meet ella kendall hutchinson. i want my daughter to never forget her aunt kendall, so now she has a piece of my best friend everywhere she goes. i hope she ended up as lucky as me, when i met you ken" avery begins to tear up.

"avery, i'm going to cry" kendall places ella into rodrigos arms. "this means so much to me, you don't even know" kendall hugs avery.

"not only that, we want you guys to be her godparents" aidan smiles as he looks at rodrigo holding ella with a huge smile on his face.

"i can't wait" kendall squeals.

"thanks guys, it means a lot" rodrigo says.

"i heard she was born at the same exact time i threw my touchdown, is that true?" jared asks as he walks into the hospital room.

"it is" aidan laughs as he has his arm around his wife, who is holding their newborn daughter.

"she is so precious ave" jared gives the baby his finger and she takes it with her little hands. "can i hold her?"

"of course" avery smiles. jared picks up the baby and takes in her beauty. "what's her name?"

"her name is charlotte anne hutchinson" avery looks over to aidan who plants a kiss on the top her head.

"will you be your godfather jared?" avery asks.

"yes" jared smiles. "i am going to teach you all about football little one" jared whispers to his goddaughter. charlotte stretches her arms above her hand, so it looks like she's a football referee who just announced a touchdown.

"that's right, your uncle jared throws touchdowns" jared says.
